Great videos. Question: why not just have zenkcraft auto build the best template? All capped resists etc? A simple one click build the best? Can it do that and why wouldn’t I?
Well firstly it doesn't have access to an item database, so it can't do that. Your best easy option is to look at uploaded templates by players. It does that for SC items to fill in gaps, though. If that did exist I still wouldn't rely on it, because a good template is focused on procs first, stats second. Procs will matter a lot more in a fight than perfectly capping everything. For instance, healer HoT chest is 30% HP over 30seconds and ignores disease. If that procs twice in a fight, that's 60%hp. Might be ok with some minor resist or stat holes to fit that in.
Im really having trouble building a good PVE build, I have been looking for a team but decided to just do some PVE cause I played SO MUCH PVP. Any recommendations that cover all the bases for PVE but retain a easy learning curve
In your opinion which state of the game was the best? For it was SI when SC was introduced. ToA was fine but after that they overcomplicated the game imo.
I played Shrouded Isles (patch 1.65, last patch before ToA) for over 2 years on Phoenix and Atlas. I like the simplicity but it also is not very well balanced for tanks, heavily favors casters. The 1.9x Eden is emulating has a lot better class balance overall, and got rid of artifacts and the grind associated with ToA which no one wanted. So imo it's the best of both worlds
You want to run it at* 1080p and increase font size by right clicking chat window (using Custom UI). You can run higher resolution but the UI doesn't scale well with it. You can shift click drag the top left corner of the screen to make the UI bigger if you do want to run a higher resolution
i tried playing with that abit like I do on everquest an other MMO's but had no luck, i will take a look again though, ty for the heads up. @@zeathedaocgaming
@@zeathedaocgaming OK perfect, I already bought that on Steam, how do I switch that on Live servers, only some freeshards available, thanks for your work anyway.
Manually searching and importing every single item one at a time seems like a terrible method. That makes going through all permutations of gear completely unmanageable. 20 years ago the tool I used for daoc templates came with the majority of high end items preloaded in a local data base and you could click on any slot you wanted and see what items were available for that slot. The manual search and import step feels like it leaves way too much room for missing an item that could be better just because you didnt search for it correctly. This kind of kills the fun in trying to DIY...
This is awesome, I've never tried making my own and always used other's instead. Gonna try my hand at it now after this vid. Thanks man
It's actually a lot of fun but takes practice to get efficient at it
This is such a great guide! Very well done. I will be referring back to this many many times. Hail Hibernia!
Glad it was useful!
Thank you! Very helpful info for new players.
Glad you found it helpful!
Great videos! I think a "what to do at level 50" video would be amazing. I'm a returning player and so much has changed. Especially over here on Eden.
Okay, I'll make one!
Heyyy here it is been waiting a while man haha, thanks for finally getting around to it and great video very helpful to noobs like me!
Of course! Been busy but more coming

PvE build for what class?
can we do a template only for lvl 50 or all level we wants ?
you have to press + to actually apply the filter ;)

So then how do you know where to get all of this stuff?
On the eden website item database it tells you the location of the item. Either what boss/mob drops it or what merchant and how much currency.

Why this tool is NOT for live servers?
It is, I'm just selecting the 'Eden' version for the tutorial

I just search stats I need in Eden database, don't feel like it's that terrible
