I have thought about Draco a lot when the last movie came out, and we see Draco with his wife and son. It had to be hard for Draco to grow up in a family like his. Caught in a struggle of what's right and wrong. We all have a love for our parents, when young. They can't do anything wrong in our eyes. They love us, feed us take care of us when we are sick. It is only as we grow do we start to question the actions and words they may say. I could see Draco coming to reasoning this out as he grew. Not sure where to turn to when he needed the most help. He had distance himself from his friends and teachers, including Snape. For at that time he did not know Snape's role with Dumbledore. If he was a bit older he might have had the confidence in himself to leave his family when he needed too. But as a Father and a Husband, he's going to do it right. Stronger than his own Father could ever be, and as loving as his Mother. But you never know, Lucius Malfoy could be a better Grandfather, than a Father. Without the stress, and weight of past troubles, like some parent have. They come to terms and strive to become better. I could so see Lucius taking his little Grandson to the park, holding his little hand along the way, and then push him on the swing by using his wand, all under the watchful eye of Draco, smiling, while he hears his son call out, "Higher Papa, Higher!"
@@sasja1413 We saw in HP, when Lucius put Riddle's diary in Ginny's cauldron, he has no scruples about using ANYONE to carry out his lust for influence and pureblood supremacy, even placing children in danger. Therefore is see no redeeming qualities in him....not now nor as a grandfather.
Now we just change that line to fit my standards *"Now when we think of Draco Malfoy, were reminded of that handsome, hot, blonde hunk that stole all our hearts"*
I think that deep down, Draco was never evil. In each book and movie, there was just something about him... I could tell his rudeness and bullying was all just an inflated act to cover up his insecurities inflicted upon him by his family and upbringing. Even from the first book Draco wanted to have fun, he wanted to make friends, he had a soft heart. He was just like other kids. Think of him going through the forbidden Forrest and getting scared, freaking out when buckbeak cut him, and his reaction when Nagini killed his teacher.... he definitely had a heart and human emotions. He's sensitive, and often, sensitive people are the most deeply loving of their close friends/family, showing why he followed his father, and why he had it in him to love his wife so much. Draco is noble hearted, and in the end he proves to us that he always knew what's right and wrong.
He killed the greatest wizard Dumbledore so he Is still did wrong even when he knew it's wasn't right.. I understand the pressure he had but he cannot be dear to a lot of HP for that reason
1st ... I would think that after the fall of Voldemort and the ruin of Lucius influence in the wizarding world, Draco, who has had a change of heart about blood purity, would seek solace with his aunt Andromeda, since his mother Narcissa would still stand by Lucius, until his deatheater activities gets him sent to Askaban. Its during this time that Draco full embraces his attraction to Astoria. And it is she who pursuades Draco to rebuild his relationship with his mother, because she knows of her impending doom due to her blood curse. Yet her love for Draco compells her to agree to marry him, then bear him a son, Scorpius. When Draco learns of Astoria's condition, he spares no expense, friendships, or influence to search for a cure for her. Even begging Hermoine, Luna, and Neville for help. He even attends a Muggle University to learn medicine in his quest for a cure for Astoria. But in the last months, as Astoria's condition approaches its final stage, she begs Draco to be there for his son, as she will always be there; Even if in a beast form forever.
beast form? Astoria wasn't a Maledictus, she had an unnamed blood curse that was placed on an ancestor that popped up in her causing her body to be extremely frail. she died, not transformed into a beast. i'm really sorry if i'm sounding rude, because that's not my intention in the slightest. p.s. i commented this before watching the video, which is why i was confused that you said something about Astoria becoming a beast.
@@silvergirlXO ... I am going on information provided by Harry Potter Folklore. He mentioned that Astoria suffer from a blood curse. Though suspected to be Maledictus, it was never confirmed, nor the form she would become trapped in. It was suggested that once the condition took hold of her, if she is transformed, a funeral would be held to hide her true affliction.
@@myyklmax I put a p.s. mentioning that I replied before watching the video, so afterwards I got why you were talking about that. But her blood curse is different. A Maledictus is from a blood curse that's passed from mother to daughter. Astoria's blood curse showed up in her after several years of being dormant in the family.
Ultamite DragonDestroyerGod i never saw anything that said that. can you send me a link to the place where you found it? i'm not trying to say you're wrong, so please don't take the question that way.
I never really liked Draco during the series due to his constant bullying, but there was more to him than we thought. He has a vulnerable side after all. I guess he definitely didn't want Scorpius to grow up like he did and wanted Scorpius to be better than him. Still the loss of Astoria must really hurt them both. I think it would be a touching scene if Astoria visits Scorpius in his dreams to comfort him saying "Upsetting you and your dad was the worst part of my passing away. You know what made it ok though? Knowing that you have each other. As long as you were by his side. A little piece of me always would be too"
I've thought about it. Just from her description about how frail and sickly she was.. she doesn't seem to be a maledictus. I do love the theory. But it just seems like its two different things. Like to have the greengrass curse, I imagined her like glass almost, very small, very easy to break bones, and a not so great immune system. Nagini for the most part seems to be healthy and vibrant. But turns into a snake.
Lucius? Scorpius is this something you want to tell us Why are you calling your grandfather by his first name instead of grandpa unless Holy Shit Narcissa and Harry got married so Sirius is your Uncle (Me)
Great video as always, Dean! Though it seems pretty unlikely to me that Nagini and Astoria are related. Just because they both suffer from a blood curse, doesn't mean it HAS to be the maledictus curse in either case. Draco giving up his pure-blood beliefs means that he cares for his son and is empathetic towards Scorpius, much more than Lucius was towards Draco.
Actually the name Astoria is a different bit version of the name Asteria , Rowling even said her name was Asteria in the early times . Asteria means goddess of the stars in Greek mythology , If we look at the other members of the Greengrass family, they all names come from Greek mythology like Daphne and Hyperion . Scorpius and Draco are constellations , that make sense .
James & Draco are so very similar in my eyes. Harry & Snape are similar. All have very similar events, loved & loss in their lives. I love the background stories in these books. JK really out did her self w these books. I could read them over m over. Such sadness yet so much love too
Touché. One must, too, consider that this curse is quite rare. One of those things known to very, very few, and one must think that those few aren't even alive. hm..
Fun Fact : Actually the name Astoria is a different bit version of the name Asteria , Rowling even said her name was Asteria in the early times . Greengrass Family may also be a Greek Origin pure-blooe family names of all known members of this family come from Greek Mythology like Daphne , Astoria/Asteria and Scorpius “Hyperion” .
Draco defiantly would be a great father, he has grown up so much and witnessed so much he wouldn't want his own son to go through what he did and Astoria helped him see that.
Yes, Draco would have been a better father to Scorpius than Lucius to him. I also think that. And I apologise for the unoriginal wording. Who knows, maybe you're simply my biggest role model.
+Tracy Kompkoff You're not the only one. Some other people who like it even use it themselves. It's a pretty boring choice, in a way. Very many people like Calvin and Hobbes, so using a Calvin and Hobbes picture icon thingamajigger isn't anything special. And the specific picture I used for my picture icon thingamajigger is a very, very well-know Calvin and Hobbes picture. So while I understand that we both like my picture icon thingmajigger, we both need to accept that it is rather unoriginal. Your expression "picture icon thingamajigger" however ... Well, that one is way more creative! Also thank you for your nice compliment.
Kou 1 That may be true, but Rowling didn’t actually write Cursed Child. Which explains why it doesn’t “fit” in as well as her other works. She just put her seal of approval on it, but it’s someone else’s idea, not hers.
It's so sadly that no one is talking about Astoria. She could be a very good carracter in the movie but we seen her only 1 or 2 times in movies and she was just killed with no good reason
theallseeingmaster I do like that! I only wish she hadn't let anyone else in when it came to creating the Cursed Child. But then again; Fantastic Beasts were so "nothing" that I lost my apatite for more. That said I still re read the Harry Potter books again and again. Pure gold🏆
Draco would of been a better father than Lucius. I don't think that Astoria was a maledictus but that she died from another blood curse. If a cure was found he would probably use his time turner to go back in time to give it to her. The maledictus curse may have originated with a female werewolf to allow her to be able to carry a child to term with the consequence of the child permanently becoming an animal without using a surrogate.
Lately, I’ve really been obsessed with Draco Malfoy! I actually met Tom Felton almost two weekends ago at a golf course near my house! He was very nice! I don’t have a photo sadly 😔 But I did shake his hand and introduced myself. Wish I could rewind back. I’ll forever carry the memory with me. ❤️
Those who have read hp and the cursed child we will know that Draco wasn’t a bad person as he grew older he was a nice person trying to protect his son from harm
Not gonna lie, I'm still in denial of Astoria dying, I've been literally shipping them since I knew he married Astoria, around 2009-2010. Rowling really loves to make Draco suffer. He seems to have become a better person after the battle and I think Astoria did have a role in that transformation, losing her must be one of the most devastating thing for him, but at least he has Scorpius, which to me is one of the best (if not the best) thing of Cursed Child, and since that book/play soundss so much like a fanfic to be considered canon, I have hope that she's still alive :'D
Draco has became a better person, thanks Harry and his wife helped this transformation. At the same time, I supposed that the idea of your child is the best friend of your school bully‘s son is also hard.
I think it could've been just been poor heath in general in Astoria's case. As for Draco rasing Scorpious, he would be a much better father than Lucius for sure.
I don’t get Draco fan girls😐. Like he’s cute but the version y’all are simping for isn’t very nice. I feel like some don’t even simp for Draco they simp for Tom Felton AS Draco
@@marzarelii Personally, I like the fact that even though he was an asshole during his teenage years, he grew up and managed to be at peace with Harry. He’s kinda similar to James Potter in my opinion. And yuh mostly when people simp it’s just for looks lol (not saying all ofc). Although I can see why people don’t like him, besides I used to hate him in my early days lol
Nagini is based on Indonesian folklore "Dewi Nagagini (literally it means goddess Nagagini but she was more like a princess than goddess)" she was a serpent princess that could transform to a beautiful woman. This is confirmed by J.K Rowling herself. Nagini is also mentioned to be brought from the jungle of Indonesia which most likely mean she is indeed Indonesian. And Indonesian mostly doesn't have a surname. It's very common for Indonesian to have a single name. Nagini is just her name period.
I’ve been thinking about Draco a lot recently, the fact that he lost his wife, his son Scorpious, and other things. I’ve finally been thinking about how many things that he had been through. I don’t think Draco was too happy about his parents outrageous behaviour. I After Astoria’s death, I think Narcissa finally realised that family is more important than blood purity. I think Lucius didn’t care for a long time.... I also feel sorry for Astoria because she had to go through being a Maladictus (Maybe and I don’t know how to spell it) I think transforming into a Maladictus is just as painful as turning into a werewolf...
I was wondering if he would bring up the blood curse that Astoria had and wonder if it was the same kind of blood curse that the maledictus has in the crimes of Grindelwald I believe that the blood curse Astoria has and the blood curse the maledictus has is two different types of blood curses This is because both blood curses are described differently A maledictus is described as a person that is cursed to ultimately permanently take the form of an animal and is only passed from MOTHER TO DAUGHTER they wouldn't mention that for no reason A blood malediction is not specified to only be passed from mother to daughter and in astoria's case it is said that it had reappeared after being dormant for several Generations and her sister didn't get it I don't think a maledictus can birth one daughter that is a maledictus and another daughter that isn't Don't quote me on this part at all but for some reason I'm thinking that Astoria's blood malediction restrict her physical abilities like maybe she's turning to Stone or something kind of like fibroplasia (it turns damaged tissue or muscle or both to bone) I have no idea where I got this idea from I even went back and tried to reread the cursed child I wasn't able to do that so idk If someone could tell me I would greatly appreciate it
I mean, you've seen my video, so you know my thoughts on Astoria's "death." I did have the thought that maybe there's a possible relation from Nagini to Astoria, but I couldn't find enough information on the Greengrass family to make any connection. If this relationship with Credence goes anywhere, it's plausible that the Lestranges and Greengrasses could mix somewhere before Astoria's born. It's possible. I'm leaning towards that being unlikely, though.
Now that we know of this blood curse how is it possible that the characters would pass it down? I don’t think Nagini would have wanted someone else to have it. I believe she was turned evil by Voldemort who saw how desperate she was. So i find it hard to believe she would have had a family. Unless it was an accident. It was the 1920s and she was in a circus. You never know what can happen.
I think that Draco was definetly a better father then Lucius. And not because I believe in Cursed child being canon (because I don't) but because of his experiances in his youth. He surrounded himself with the two gorillas Crape and Goyle at the start so he can feel superior and smarter. Later on Pansy and Blaze joined his groub but that was when he started to rebel against his own family. His father was always a loser who relied to much on gold and to less on family values as love and affection. I bet Draco was sometimes even beaten by his father. Not agressively and often, but it caused Draco to mabe wven be afright of him and when he wants to frighten others his sentence often starts with "My father..." Later on he had his friends until year 6 where he got the task to kill Dumbledore. And Draco experianced for the first time how it feels when you have nothing and no one left. He was forbidden to tell anyone and thought that if he succeded he could earn his Familys respect back. And he saw how it was to have nothing to lose aside of his live. This must have made him realize that all this pureblood bs is well bs. So he questioned. It is very hard to get your ideals overthrown by something stronger you can't grasp and all the people around you deny it. But Draco refused to nark Harry and even said he isn't sure knowing perfectly well how Ron and Hermoine look like when the trio was captured. He later even told Crape to not kill even though he tried to kill Hermoine and not Harry which would not be against Voldys wishes. And at the end the famous cut scene from the movie where he threw his wand to Harry... I think Draco might be the only Ex Deatheater alive who feels truly guilty. And this is a noble act imo. After his wife dies, who he loved very much since he married her dispide his parents opinions, I think he sees how loss feels and understands even more how cruel it was for Harry to live with no parents at all. He tries to do better by maturing and I think therfore he does his best with scorpius.
I wonder if Astoria was a blood maladictous.? I kind of like the theory that she was a blood moledictous because whatever animal she could have been then then Draco could have kept her in the house as a pet. And yes it would be interesting if Nagini were related to Astoria.
I hated they deleted that scene where after he saw harry lives, he shouted "Potter!" Then threw him a wand. People just remembered him and his family walking away saving themselves.

Draco and an apple lol
Draco is an awesome character and his life was so sad
I think that deep down, Draco was never evil. In each book and movie, there was just something about him... I could tell his rudeness and bullying was all just an inflated act to cover up his insecurities inflicted upon him by his family and upbringing. Even from the first book
Draco wanted to have fun, he wanted to make friends, he had a soft heart.
Also, let's not forget when he first met harry, introduced himself in a friendly way.
@@justfantastic5131 yeah he was friendly until ron started made fun of him true
But her blood curse is different. some potter fans like the cursed child and believe it's canon
Shriv Shriv I didn't hate it but I didn't like it so I'm in between
Shriv Shriv: True. So, so true.
I actually liked Cursed child
Draco is a better father than Lucius. He really is. Lucius used to scold him for every little thing. But Draco was very loving towards Scorpius
Lucius and Narcissa loved Draco but they weren't what a parent should act like.
Astoria and Scorpius are the only parts of the Cursed Child that I like.
A little piece of me always would be too"
That....Ouch!
Draco was not really a villain , but more of a nuisance, but I absolutely love how he changed.
William Plaud Agreed
i love draco so much, he really tried being the best dad he could be
I've thought about it.
Ooh new video! Dean please do 'the life of Madame Maxime' we don't know anything about her & i searched for it, no-one else has done it

Hello Scorpius and Albus
*sigh* there's always that (in Harry potters case a many) character in a story that can never get a break. Great video dude!!!👍🏾😁
If you look at the meaning of the name Astoria, it means like a hawk, and you know how much JK Rowling likes playing with words!
So her maledictous form could be a hawk "Lady Hawk" unlike Isabo who becomes human at night but is hawk during the day Astoria becomes a hawk forever.

The only thing wrong with the maladictus theory is that Scorpeus would've told Albus such a big thing, at least eventually.

What if Scorpius didn’t know?
Touché. One must, too, consider that this curse is quite rare. One of those things known to very, very few, and one must think that those few aren't even alive. hm..
The drawing of Pansy Parkinson is sooooo beautiful
Fun Fact : Actually the name Astoria is a different bit version of the name Asteria , Rowling even said her name was Asteria in the early times . Scorpius malfoy is actually my favourite character of the cursed child. Even tough the story wasted so much potential
Draco defiantly would be a great father, he has grown up so much and witnessed so much he wouldn't want his own son to go through what he did and Astoria helped him see that.
Your vids got me back into Harry Potter theories so now at school I discuss them with my friends
Yes, Draco would have been a better father to Scorpius than Lucius to him. I also think that. And I apologise for the unoriginal wording. Who knows, maybe you're simply my biggest role model.
I like your picture icon thingamajigger
+Tracy Kompkoff
You're not the only one.

I personally don't consider Cursed Child canon, no matter what Rowling may say, so I don't think Astoria died.
Kou 1 That may be true, but Rowling didn’t actually write Cursed Child. Which explains why it doesn’t “fit” in as well as her other works. She just put her seal of approval on it, but it’s someone else’s idea, not hers.
Kou 1 it’s Not her work though
Sameee I believe Astoria didn’t die and Draco had his happy ending.
Same here, I won't accept cursed child as it was not written by Rowling herself so for me Astoria is alive and happy

It's so sadly that no one is talking about Astoria. She could be a very good carracter in the movie but we seen her only 1 or 2 times in movies and she was just killed with no good reason
JK does like to tie things together over time.
theallseeingmaster I do like that! I only wish she hadn't let anyone else in when it came to creating the Cursed Child. But then again; Fantastic Beasts were so "nothing" that I lost my apatite for more. That said I still re read the Harry Potter books again and again. Pure gold🏆
Your theory about Astoria feels right. I can totally see this as being true. Maybe Rowling will focus on that story in the future.
I just saw cursed child again and i have to say Draco is thoroughly redeemed. His story was just heart breaking
The background music make me cry from inside 😭😢

Admirable video, didn't know about Astoria, thank you!

@@marzarelii Personally, I like the fact that even though he was an asshole during his teenage years, he grew up and managed to be at peace with Harry.

Seems legit
Love this video. It tells the story with real compassion.
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!!❤
I was wondering if he would bring up the blood curse that Astoria had and wonder if it was the same kind of blood curse that the maledictus has in the crimes of Grindelwald
I believe that the blood curse Astoria has and the blood curse the maledictus has is two different types of blood curses
This is because both blood curses are described differently
A maledictus is described as a person that is cursed to ultimately permanently take the form of an animal and is only passed from MOTHER TO DAUGHTER they wouldn't mention that for no reason
A blood malediction is not specified to only be passed from mother to daughter and in astoria's case it is said that it had reappeared after being dormant for several Generations and her sister didn't get it I don't think a maledictus can birth one daughter that is a maledictus and another daughter that isn't
Don't quote me on this part at all but for some reason I'm thinking that Astoria's blood malediction restrict her physical abilities like maybe she's turning to Stone or something kind of like fibroplasia (it turns damaged tissue or muscle or both to bone) I have no idea where I got this idea from I even went back and tried to reread the cursed child I wasn't able to do that so idk
If someone could tell me I would greatly appreciate it
Scarlett Terry wow
That just blew my mind
Good video Dean😃
astonia must be ultra thick to be able to get draco himself to end his pure blood line
🤣
I mean, you've seen my video, so you know my thoughts on Astoria's "death." I did have the thought that maybe there's a possible relation from Nagini to Astoria, but I couldn't find enough information on the Greengrass family to make any connection. If this relationship with Credence goes anywhere, it's plausible that the Lestranges and Greengrasses could mix somewhere before Astoria's born. It's possible. I'm leaning towards that being unlikely, though.
J.K Rowling really have Draco the saddest life
Draco is an amazing father I can just feel it
Now that we know of this blood curse how is it possible that the characters would pass it down? I don’t think Nagini would have wanted someone else to have it. I believe she was turned evil by Voldemort who saw how desperate she was. So i find it hard to believe she would have had a family. Unless it was an accident. It was the 1920s and she was in a circus. You never know what can happen.
I bet draco was proud of Scorpius when Scorpius told him he made friends with Albus potter I would be

I feel so bad for Draco,
He deserved much better,
but then he did get a good life in the end :)
I'm sad for him but couldn't deny. I also feel relieved that she died. I'm sorry
Another Great video
Love your videos!!
I wonder if Astoria was a blood maladictous.? I kind of like the theory that she was a blood moledictous because whatever animal she could have been then then Draco could have kept her in the house as a pet. And yes it would be interesting if Nagini were related to Astoria.
