This beautiful is an opera singer don’t you know that doggy is the cats pajamas! As they use to say back in the day give her a hug for me and tell her that it’s from her fan me!😅😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’ve had many different breeds of dogs in my 61 years on this planet. Mostly Labs and Shepherds or mutts of no known origin. All great dogs, all different in their own way. And it’s really hard to pick a favorite, but let’s face it. You sometimes do have a favorite dog and mine was a pure-bred Border Collie. Commonly known as the most intelligent of all dogs, Buddy was no exception. Super smart, very emotional, and sure of himself in any situation. Lots of dogs are very obedient but Buddy just knew that blind obedience was beneath him. He’s smarter than many humans I know. So, I trusted his judgment and he never ceased to impress. He’d solve these puzzles put before him and look at me like, “Is that the best you got? That was nothing. Don’t insult my intelligence like that again.” Buddy was the first dog I really respected as an equal. I tested him and he passed every time. No other dog I’ve had could solve problems the way he did. He’d see the look in my eye and think, “I got this.” He didn’t show off his intellect, he seemed disappointed that I doubted it at all. He’d get bored with my problem-solving exercises because they too easy. Amazingly smart dog who never looked for a reward for the most mundane tasks, he did them for me and didn’t want any cheering for a “good job” he’s always looking for something more to peak his interest. Koa was the black lab puppy I rescued from a shelter shortly after getting Buddy. He needed a friend in his yard and raised Koa to be smart and think. Figure things out. But black labs aren’t very smart so Buddy was disappointed in Koa and treated him like a student in special Ed. Nice and caring, but this retriever ain’t going places far and wide. Patience is a virtue. So they grew up together and Buddy would correct Koa every time he barked at the wrong person. “Meet the mail-lady? She’s nice. She has treats. Nobody is afraid of a confused black lab, anyway.” Buddy showed Koa the finer points of doggy manipulation techniques. Koa never got it. Not surprised. He was a very sweet and intellectually challenged dog. Buddy was a master. Me and my fishing partner would back the boat in the yard after a grueling but successful fishing trip in the Kaiwi channel or off Molokai. Both dogs are going nuts since we’ve been out to sea for 3 days or so. Koa immediately found one of his hundreds of tennis balls and wanted to play fetch for hours. Buddy just walked up and sniffed around. He could smell Mahi Mahi, Ahi, Aku, Ono, and Marlin in the ice box on the boat. He’s patient. Knows what’s coming. Koa is going nuts as if this is his first time. Neighbors see my boat coming home and know it’s party time. Everyone makes something to trade for fish, though that’s not required. Watch my dogs while I’m gone, you get all the fish you want. That’s the Aloha way. Share always. Neighbors are coming over with coolers of beer and side dishes, guitars and weed. A party ensues with music, women running around making sure everyone has a plate. Koa is the star of the show and drops his ball in everyone’s lap. Buddy is not socializing, he’s rolling his eyes at his dumb friend with the never-ending fetch routine. Buddy doesn’t fetch. He doesn’t kiss ass. Koa is wearing people out with the ball returns and I finally had enough. Dropped his ball in a 5 gallon bucket. “Get it Koa?” And Buddy is looking from ten feet away thinking, “I’ll bet the moron thinks his neck might be long enough to get the ball. It isn’t. He’ll never figure it out.” Yawn. So Koa is reaching in the bucket with his head trying to get the ball in the bottom of the bucket. His neck isn’t long enough so he whining for help. I called the professor. “Buddy, can you please show Koa how to get his ball out of the bucket?” Buddy just looked around kinda bored and walked up to the bucket. Looked inside, saw the ball he didn’t want, took his paw and tipped over the bucket. The ball came rolling out and Koa victoriously grabbed his ball while Buddy laid back down. “Okay Koa, you saw how Buddy got the ball out of the bucket. He just tipped it over. Now, the ball goes back in the bucket, tip it over.” Nope, he’s whining, reaching in with his head, afraid when the bucket makes a noise, completely lost even though he watched Buddy tip over the bucket to give him the ball. Koa the Black lab was a beautiful and adorable sweetheart, dumb as a post. Buddy later went on to college studying nuclear physics and the laws of thermodynamics. I loved that Border Collie so much.

I can't see myself ever owning a dog but if I did it'd be a border collie. I used to have one in my house when I was a child and she was extremely smart. whenever wed give her treats she wouldn't eat them shed bury them outside in plant pots to savour them. she also used to not be allowed into our backyard garden at night which was very very big because we had a wooden fence door that she was able to sneak under and shed run to the woods which was a mile away. one night she escaped through the cat flap in the door which was tiny. her fur was all around the edges which showed an immense struggle to get out of it. we live in England and our woods can be notoriously large and our local one was as it stretched for about 50 miles in each direction. one night I went by myself with a flash light calling her name and I recalled what my father told me he saw once which was a 'man without a face' he wasn't the only one who saw this creature thing and we were told to never go out into those woods at night. as Im in the woods I became too scared as I felt something watching me so I just ran back through them to go home when I heard something immediately chase me and tackle me. it was my dog who was covered in cow shit as she loved to roll around in cow pies. great dog
