Mine does this too. I taught her to bark when I say, "Am I right?" Now she knows that verbal communication recieves attention. So she informs me verbally whenever she wants something
Our two year old McNab BC "Andy Panda" has markings like a Panda. He is famous for throwing his paws around your neck and hugging you. He is a TV addict and really likes Tom Bergeron on Funniest Home Videos, the animated pink bladder on that ad and hates the green animated mucus guy on Mucinex ads. He loves to "talk" but gets on our nerves with whining. He has a lot of energy but is not destructive. We have had Border Collies since the 60's, each one has had a unique personality.
I have a Pit Bull / Border Collie breed female 🐕, she's all white and has lil black spots on her ears, body, face, her right ear is kind of chewed off, the previous owner, before myself, said other dogs would play and that's how part of her 👂 is missing, she's about a year, her name is Orejas ( Ears ) in english, I love her, muncho, muncho, she's my baby forever, 🐶👦🔥💖😇😍😘😉
Happy Reviewer My Gypsy-a r/w BC-is so smart, she wakes me up and herds me to the bathroom because she knows I have to go. She also knows when my sugar is too low or high and herds me to my meter (where I keep in the bathroom) if It's too high or the kitchen if It's too low. My former BC, Tessie, taught her this in the last 4 years they had together as BFF before Tessie died at 16 yrs.
Poke Girl Yes. Type2 since '95. I take Insulin and watch my diet. I can't take Metaphormin according to my dr.'s instructions. Sadie looks like my Little Bo Peep when she was younger. I only have Gypsy Rose Lee left and she's 14.7 yrs.old. she's my red/white BC.
Brown dog is Sadie's friend Kaila. She looks like a deer and acts like one. She is much more like prey than predator! LOL! Very sweet dog. She is a rescue as well.
Is Kaila a Greyhound or Whippet? And why is she wearing a bib? Who's the 3rd fog on the sofa? Thought about getting a Whippet and naming him Devo ( "Whip It Good"), but I prefer Border Collies and would never whip one anyway. I have 2 Border Collie girls and Sadie looks like Little Bo Peep when she was younger.
Edge Lord My Gypsy hates the video-ignores it now. Don't. Know why, but Sadie looks and sounds like Bo Peep, her BFF. Gypsy is a red/ white Border Collie. Is the dog with the big a Greyhound or Whippet? (One of my friends had a Greyhound-she and her husband rescued the racing hounds and adopted 2 when they died, this widow adopted a Whippet-Percy.) Why does he or she have on a bib? And Who's the other BC.?
A mule can hear another mule up to 60 miles away. It would depend on whether the mule was standing in a desert, or in a parking lot just before Black Friday. Animals have far superior hearing compared to us from my observations. Their ability to hear extends into the 20,000 cycle per second range at least, while ours tops out about 14,000 I think. My numbers might be in error but the message isn't. There is a vast world beyond our senses that most of us are unaware of and rarely (if ever) think about. Some animals are in touch with it , giving them tremendous advantage over us. Why can't the US military take off and land like dragon fly? Which is the better aviator? How do sharks swim all the way around the world and go to specific place they've been before, without road signs and GPS? 60 million years they've been doing this. WTF were we?
And u made me cry because we have a border collie and he is 11 yrs old nw and we can see n tht he is getting really old ,,, I feel for u ,, ur dog is a little angel in a heaven looking down on u
Sorry for your loss. we Had two BCs. One was 13 and the other was 12 when when we lost them three years ago. We spent the last 5 year of one of our dogs lives caring for his diabetes condition. It was a small price to pay for all the joy that we got in return. BCs are the most loving dogs in the world! Time is the only thing that helps after you lose a family member like that. Finally after 3 years we were able to think about looking at dogs again. We ended up going to a herding dog rescue home to look for a BC. We ended up coming home with three.
Thanks everyone. Sadie is a true gift from above. We just love her so much...she helped us heal when we lost our senior Border Collie. Once you get hooked on a breed...you are hooked for life. Love all dogs but the Border Collie is the one we cannot live without. :)
Border Collies are so awesome. When I lived my aunt and Uncle they had a border collie named Lila. She was the smartest dog I ever had. I live with a maltese now that thinks shes a pitbull.
What a beautiful soul she is! I have a Golden/Border Collie mix and he is very expressive like Sadie is(Just a little less vocal). Love the video and love Sadie!! :)
So sorry for your loss. It is great that you will adopt again soon...your Border Collie is smiling from heaven to know your love will continue to be shared with another wonderful dog. Love is never broken; not even by death.
That is so amazing. I had a BC with the exact same mannerism. Cancer took her after 16 great years. You can see the intelligence in those eyes, unlike any breed I know. You are very lucky to her her.
+craig79792000 . Sorry for your loss, we lost our first BC to Lymphoma. In Dog years 16 is long; but never long enough. Love is Forever! After our first BC rescue back in 1998, we have been hooked since. We will always rescue Border Collies and have them in our family. Beautiful creatures. I believe all the dogs I've ever loved will be waiting for me in Heaven. God loves us too much and made dogs for us, for me to believe otherwise. Until we meet again!
Dogs are People Too I keep checking the shelter for another BC or even a mix that reminds me of her, but she was truly an original. I want to adopt them all, but I want to stay married too, delicate balance. I will find another someday. I like to think I will see her again too, I know she had a great life and was loved and pampered and went peacefully. It still makes me cry like a baby to think about her though.
Where on earth do you find any kind of Collie that needs rescuing? They always seem to take care of that themselves. I like the big American Collie. They are extremely devoted to their people.
Daniel Coakley Rescue in this sense means saved from an animal shelter. If no one adopts them in a certain amount of time, they are put down. There are a lot of "no kill" shelters but they are far outnumbered by the other kind.
Border Collies are wonderful! They just need special games and exercises to stimulate their brain. Otherwise they SUFFER. There is a great guide full of brain games just for dogs - to turn your dog into a GENIUS: PLUS.GOOGLE.COM/115233896029381835104/posts/ib81F27YAJt
yeah, my doberman is not patient he expects his payment on time 12pm exactly and he will let you know about it, when i say payment or salary i'm talking about his food.
I’ve had many different dogs in my life and any breed of dog is better than no dog at all. They all have redeeming qualities but their is something extra special about Border Collies
They are the Ferrari of the dog world, bred to understand humans better than any other breed. I remember taking my first collie to a puppy training class. The instructor told everyone to let the puppies off the lead and just watch them. Ours was the only dog who ignored the other puppies and went up to each and every human to say hello.
I have a border collie too. smartest dogs ever. I swear she acts so human. she's up there in years 13 in fact. I can tell she's slowing down. it really saddens me.
Mine died when he was 15 and I grew up with him he was there when I was born and grew up with him. He died when my family was living in Korea and we couldn’t take him with us so we had to leave him at my grandmas. We knew he was going to die because of all his health and physical problems but I couldn’t stop mourning over it
My Tess lived to be 16 yrs, 2 months, her son 15.8 yrs. and my Gypsy Rose Lee 14.8 yrs. Bo Peep was a month short of 14 when she died and my Gem-my first BC mix was also 13 yrs.old when she died.
THE most intelligent, caring, loving breed. I miss my Thomas and Digga...but it makes me smile to watch videos like this to remind me of eager they are to please and how easy they are to love. Thankyou
Sadie added her Talking Video - Part 2 last week. She talks about seeing squirrels at the park and taking a boat ride. Search "The Talking Border Collie, Sadie Part 2. Enjoy!
She's perrrrrfect, an now uncle Mark can hear her talking Lol. Makes me happy to see people love their animals and treat them like family members, because that's what they are.
I have know idea what your dog was saying but I guess our boarder collie did. He was asleep in the other room then came out and started looking on my computer. I light growl and a bark with his head turning side to side. To cute....
Don Williams I used to have a Border Collie mix that when my mother's Gibson refrigerator used to make these barking sounds, she'd bark back at it. If the doorbell rang or someone knocked, Gem wouldn't let them answer it if not fully dressed. We guessed that she has her own moral standards. She was also very empathic-like the empath Gem on 'Star Trek".
I saw your video and I just love Sadie! We had a Beagle/ Border Collie mix growing up, and she seemed to have the best traits of both of the breeds. Smart, a little mischievous, but the sweetest doggy you could ever imagine. She looked much more like a Border Collie than a Beagle. Debby was the doggy of my childhood and she lived to the ripe old age of 15! She did have the Beagle's tendency to love to roam, and the cleverness of an accomplished escape artist in spite of a very comfortable and loving home and a securely fenced back yard! Debby delighted us kids with a surprise litter of pups to enjoy and frolic with after a brief escape once. After that, my folks had her spayed. She was such a sweet and fun dog that everyone wanted a pup from her, so they all went to good homes. She died after I graduated from college and had left home. She was my mom's solace for the "empty nest" syndrome after my brother and I went off to school. - JF
I can watch this sound of border collie whole my life till i doe without even getting bored for a second....😢😢dogs and cats and birds and goats and cows and pigs and horses are so cute . We should never harm them ever...😢😢
My border collie died four years ago, and I still miss her so much. I don't think that pain will ever go away. They make the best friends. Their emotional intelligence is second to none. ♥️ Enjoy your special baby!
I love this, Sadie is Gorgeous! We have a border collie and labrador cross called Roobarb and she loves to talk and always has lots to say. I love bc's they are so beautiful and intelligent. Thanks for uploading :-)
Both dogs are so adorable. I have a shepherd/collie mix and he does almost the same thing. Doesn't talk as much as Sadie but still amusing and cute! Love it!
That was hilarious! She was like if you dont get up off your ass and feed me! I love her! I also have a border collie and she is so smart! Your dog is beautiful 😀
Tess and I called them yawn talks. I talked a lot to her and when she talked back to me, just asked her more questions and expected her to talk back to me. My mother rewarded her with little treats, but I told her I didn't want to do that since that was why Gem didn't live as long: my parents spoiled her.
I can relate to Elori Scott. It will be a year this June that my border collie/sheltie passed and I miss him so much. This video reminded me why I love the breed so much.
“Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened. ” - Anatole France. Even death cannot separate us from those we love...until you meet again, may you feel peace and joy in those memories of treasured moments with your forever friend..
She reminds me of Little Bo Peep. She passed away just before Easter last year at age 13.11 yrs. Her BFF/cousin, Gypsy Rose Lee, passed away at age 14.8 yrs just after Thanksgiving. I miss both.
Moxie Border Collie Talk back to her and to her. Encourage her as much as possible. Border Collies who are raised with those who are no-nonsense, humorless types aren't quite as friendly as those with outgoing types who talk to their dogs and play with them.
Love them, lost my boy Shep in January oral cancer he was 14yrs, opperated once but it came back, miss him so much. Our boy Nicky before that died age 12yrs, they really are so intelligent and loving, broke our hearts and the grandchildren they all grew up with them.
I have a Australian Shepard and her son who is mixed with Border Collie and they are the loves of my life and smart beyond their years I have to say my Aussies name is also Sadie and she talks to me all the time and my VinDiesel is just plain lovable and smart and knows when I need hugs
this video.... I cant even describe... I love this dog, I love black and white border collies... But I'm still torn between huskies and border collies lol, guess I'll just get both :'D
Huskies are talkers too. They are also greater shedders and escape artists. Not that Border Collies aren't, Husky owners need at least a 9' high fence and the bottom has to be in ground about 3' as well. They're sled dogs, not herding dogs. This comes from a friend who owned one named Tayla.see the videos about Keyush, the stunt dog or Mischka and Leika (both passed on by now). They're smart, but BC's are far smarter.
I just discovered Sadie. She is a spitting image of our Nessa. In fact when we. Play this video she watches Sadie intentsly. I don't know if it's a Border Collie thing but Nessa does the exact high pitch yawn. This is a late comment. I hope Sadie is healthy and with us. She has a fan in Nessa and our family. Thank you so much for sharing...
My favourite breed of dog. They are so bright and energetic. Adorable💖
"Stop asking about dinner and GIVE me dinner already!!"
be bless claver little one you so beautiful dog
Mine does this too. I taught her to bark when I say, "Am I right?" Now she knows that verbal communication recieves attention. So she informs me verbally whenever she wants something
talkin' and yawnin' ! so cute !
Our dog is like no dog we've had before. all our dogs were special but Floyd s one in a million. swear he's been here before lol. shes a wee doll. x
My border collie was just watching this movie and at 1:30 she wanted to comfort my screen :)
My red border collie Morgan loves to talk to me too. I am glad to hear that we are not alone.
We have a border collie and he's the sweetest thing 😊
Love border collies.
that is to cute

I think I could marry a border collie.

Superb... fantastic......
My Border Collie talks all the time.

So cute
I am on my dads iPad but my border collie growls and whines and yawns like this when someone says squirrel or deer or my parents play fight
Mr. Pickles!!!!
I can translate easily. Sadie is saying "Shut up and feed me!! This is getting annoying!!"
Too cute
That looks exactly like my dog it looks like u took my dog!
When I was 3 a border collie tried to kill me.
not sure what's the meaning of yawning in dogs
I think you caught it out :)
Ha ha ha❤❤❤❤
omg just get the food out for her, she is hungrey, quite to noncense, get her the darned food.
My Border Collie is so smart it cooks me dinner.
Happy Reviewer lmao

This second brown dog looks like a baby deer ^_^
Brown dog is Sadie's friend Kaila. She looks like a deer and acts like one. She is much more like prey than predator! LOL! Very sweet dog. She is a rescue as well.
Dogs are People Too She is hilarious :))))
We agree, she acts like a deer too. Her name is Kaila
Barbara Camparscone Adorable! :)
Is Kaila a Greyhound or Whippet? And why is she wearing a bib? Who's the 3rd fog on the sofa? Thought about getting a Whippet and naming him Devo ( "Whip It Good"), but I prefer Border Collies and would never whip one anyway. My border collie went full alert while I was watching this, wonder if they have a language :P
Lol and bol
+VivaciouslyEmpathetic my collie loves wathcing this as well. so cute :D

I love border collies so intelligent more so than most americans
LUL :)
Surely you don't mean that
This week on "Britain Thinks It's Special,"...
What a commentary :)
It's true I should know because I'm in America.
it's a good thing Collie's are so patient... lol
Rose, let me convert you to Christianity my sister.
@@kevinomaolmhuaidh5039 Wtf why
yeah, my doberman is not patient he expects his payment on time 12pm exactly and he will let you know about it, when i say payment or salary i'm talking about his food.
I wanted one after I saw the movie ' Babe'.
I have a border collie too. smartest dogs ever. I swear she acts so human. she's up there in years 13 in fact. I can tell she's slowing down. it really saddens me.
ikr,same as mine XD
Mine died when he was 15 and I grew up with him he was there when I was born and grew up with him. He died when my family was living in Korea and we couldn’t take him with us so we had to leave him at my grandmas. We knew he was going to die because of all his health and physical problems but I couldn’t stop mourning over it

They are beautiful and intelligent
I lost my boarder collie recently watching this really brings back memories I really miss my dog thanks for sharing it means a lot
very awesome dog. Border Collies are the best.
Lol, one of my borders is a talker too and loves to answer questions. She was watching this intently with a big smile.
THE most intelligent, caring, loving breed. I miss my Thomas and Digga...but it makes me smile to watch videos like this to remind me of eager they are to please and how easy they are to love. Thankyou
She's a beautiful baby, and the other dogs are lovely as well. She understands everything you say to her. 💗

I have know idea what your dog was saying but I guess our boarder collie did. He was asleep in the other room then came out and started looking on my computer. I light growl and a bark with his head turning side to side. To cute....
That is hilarious! Sadie sends a happy Woof to your pup!
Don Williams I used to have a Border Collie mix that when my mother's Gibson refrigerator used to make these barking sounds, she'd bark back at it. She was also very empathic-like the empath Gem on 'Star Trek".
You really should have paid attention in English class.
What do you get when you have a dog that collects sheep? A Hoarder Collie! Or a dog that mixed with a vegetable? A cauliflower!
I saw your video and I just love Sadie! We had a Beagle/ Border Collie mix growing up, and she seemed to have the best traits of both of the breeds. I bet a ladies who had a Bassett/BC mix. Her name-the dog-was Sadie.
This is so adorable! My dog talked also. Great performance, both of you!
I thought I herd her
Say the word (HamBurger)

That was hilarious! She was like if you dont get up off your ass and feed me! I love her! I also have a border collie and she is so smart! Your dog is beautiful 😀
Amazing! I agree your Border Clllie is really talking with you, honestly and sincerely. Better than talking with people who are selfish and truthless.
I’ve been desperate for a Border Collie since I was little. Sadie is just beautiful.
My mom's Border collie makes those same sounds, lol. But i think not on command.
What a smart dog! I used to have a border collie and I loved him!
My BC does this too! It must be a border collie thing haha XD
Huskies are talkative too. Listen to Keyush the Stunt Dog. Not as smart as BC's, but smart enough.
1:10 i felt that rarrrrr eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Sadie’s probably one of the prettiest Border Collies I’ve seen. And her talking is super cute. ❤️
I love Sadie.I always come back to this video, because it makes me smile.
She is beautiful
Cheeki Breeki *blyatiful
She reminds me of Little Bo Peep. She passed away just before Easter last year at age 13.11 yrs. Her BFF/cousin, Gypsy Rose Lee, passed away at age 14.8 yrs just after Thanksgiving. I miss both.
Our border Collie Roxy watches Sadie Every day, she talks and uses the TV like a touch screen. Very smart dogs....
So cute! I'm hoping my little one will become a talker as well. :)
+Moxie Border Collie Adorable!
Moxie Border Collie Talk back to her and to her. Encourage her as much as possible. Border Collies who are raised with those who are no-nonsense, humorless types aren't quite as friendly as those with outgoing types who talk to their dogs and play with them.
My dog does this a few times a day. Does the same high pitched squeaky yawns as well.
My 12 year old Border Collie just passed away and she used to always make that funny sound. Amazing dog; incredibly intelligent and loving.
Love is forever! Happy to know your Border Collie was so very loved.
Love them, lost my boy Shep in January oral cancer he was 14yrs, opperated once but it came back, miss him so much. Our boy Nicky before that died age 12yrs, they really are so intelligent and loving, broke our hearts and the grandchildren they all grew up with them.
Cute sadie ,hope she will be happy always
Us too! We will make every effort to keep her happy...she keeps us all happy !!
How old is Sadie now? I'm glad that the tails of BC's aren't docked like those of Aussies! Neither are Welsh Cardigan Corgi's.
I have a border collie as well, her name is Betsy and she is almost 2 years old! Sadie is basically her with more fur and white😁😊
Father had a Collie named Spike for 17 years.. He was his best friend. He liked his food hot, and his water cold. He also loved gravy. :)
Reminds me of my dog
I havea Border Collie named Jamie, and i love her more than anything. Border Collies are the best
Love BC's so smart! I like sight hounds too.
My dog LOVES fish! Climb over hot coals for some fish!
This is one our most watched videos in our house. Our Collie loves it.
This is a very cute dog!
