- In 2021, a group of internet sleuths travel to the remote Carmichael Manor deep in the woods of the Rockland County, New York - site of the infamous 1989 Carmichael family murders that have gone unsolved to this day. My daughter and I were looking for a "mindless" horror movie one night, and watched the first movie. We were hooked, and immediately watched the next 2 movies. The way the 3 movies connected was brilliant, and we've been saying ever since that we wish they would make another trilogy or a series. We'll take this for now...can hardly wait!!
Terri - Agreed. I've rewatched all three at least ten times (the third has a few details I'd have fixed, i.e., Vanessa not recognizing Brock's planchette), but all in all, a very solid trilogy.🏆

Hell Yes!!!!! Devil's Night can't come fast enough! Now to binge the first 3 movies again. I hope they eventually plan to release a physical edition of all the movies. These are QUALITY movies in the found footage horror genre and I want to own them.
I live close to the filming location of the initial trilogy and have been there for the annual haunted attraction, as well as a behind the scenes paranormal tour. I'm totally psyched to see what Stephen Cognetti has cooked up here.
I too live relatively close to the Waldorf Estate of Fear….AKA the Abbadon Hotel but I have yet to go to the attraction

My ONLY complaint of this franchise is the obnoxious glitchy editing and overdone flash backs of the 3rd. I hope this one doesn’t have any of that because Hell House LLC is one of my favorites and this looks just as good as the others

It was an amazing movie only problem with it was the documentary scenes in the middle of the movie would bring you out of a good story and I really hope they do like hell raiser 2 and show there imagination on what hell is other then that not bad
Looks OK-ish... I'm only 10min in but what I can definitely say, without any bit of doubt, is that I greatly dislike the quirky, nerdy protagonist 🙄. Ugh, I'm already at the point where I'm waiting for them to die. I don't think that's the feel the mockumentary was going for.
Edit: just finished watching it. It's bad. I wish, for once, to see a movie in which the characters don't do the same mistakes everyone does in a horror movie. You know, just to shake things up.

just finished the movie. The stakes have never been lower. It was horrible and told a pointless side story with a laughable after credits scene setting up yet another sequel that will put them at a carnival at the abbadon (groan inducing). God the level of over acting in this film In the last 25 minutes is unbearable non stop screaming that was just hurting my ears and Terrible acting in general. Director should be ashamed he couldn't let go and come up with something new, now he's destroying his own series.

Disappointingly this looks like a rerun of Hell House 1. There is so much more that could have been done as a spin off from the original story that would have been far more original and engaging. This looks like anu other haunted house story.

Huh that’s definitely a take. Especially with the second one being the best one & the third being just as good as the first. No reason to let the franchise die though just because you’re no longer interested. If they’re interested in continuing to make it, that’s what they should do. You just don’t have to play along anymore.
