50 lb braid/50 lb topshot + leader is a good starting point. Mates don’t like dealing with lighter braid. I caught the cobia on 40lb braid + 50lb leader. I actually got lucky on that one, because I was targeting snappers. Tight lines!

Oh yea, cooler weather definitely helps. I’ve seen a lot of pics of. Boat limits (2 per vessel). Tight lines!!!
