The 3rd house is very nice and probably the most comfortable but I do like the charm of the others a bit more as they have have so much character when you use the old parts of the building and make it work, rather than bashing it all down and using the stones only as decoration.
Hi and thank you so much for watching 😍 You are right in many ways - but…. When you get the opportunity to build with a different footprint compared to what the old house has - then you would probably also say “yes please” and getting a fully insulated house also makes a big difference 😊 And the house was also built for Erik’s uncle who was in a wheelchair 🥰 Ciao Cath
You two are inspiring. I have a granddaughter in a wheelchair so telling and showing us how you were accommodating your dear uncle touched my heart. You were very kind to set out on this path and finish it with him in mind even though you lost him in the beginning. It speaks very well of you.
Beautiful location, the textured wall plaster inside is a beautiful colour. The compassion behind this project is admirable, much respect and sorry for your loss. 🙏🙂
If given the blessing of relocating to Italy I pray that we can meet in person and be of assistance to each other to complete your dreams in the making. My wife and I are amazed by all that you do!
I’m completely impressed with what you’ve both done, you make it look so easy. I’ve heard nothing but horror stories about rebuilding a home in Italy. You’ve found the recipe it seems. Congratulations!!!
Dear Katherine and Eric, It's great concept to build the villa for disabled people, Great job by you. Both of you making such beautiful vlogs, I think people from Italy is more beautiful and lovely than other parts of Europe. Feel bad to hear about Eric's uncle. 🙏🏻🌹🤗 Warm Regards, Rahul. From India. Ciao
Thank you for the reply Kathrine, I am going to subscribe your channel now, going to see your previous videos and excited to watch upcoming videos. Both of you look so good together 🥰 🙏🏻 Thank you so much ❤️ Ciao Rahul. 🌹
Gosh you guys are amazing and good hearted to specially make a home designed around your uncle's needs. My father is also in a wheelchair because of his age and I am trying just to get the bathroom where he can walk into the shower and its so expensive here in the USA, everyone wants to charge you an arm and a leg just to change out the shower pan base. Anyway, I love that idea that you guys have this house wheelchair ready. I am so happy you guys showed us this house and how you got it built, I loveeeeeeeeeee this idea, I think that is the way I would have to buy a house in Italy now, you guys have convinced me that this is the right way to do it. I am happy to have found your channel and you guys have giving me hope , because that is what I really wanted, a modern house from the inside and original stonework from the outside, that is such a brilliant idea. Now I have to search for a house in your area to be able to do what you guys have done, is there a way to get an idea to find out , how much something like that would cost? To knock down a house and do what you did, just a rough figure, but without the swimming pool, I don't think I can afford a pool plus I love to swim in the salty water of the sea. Also, what area are you guys in, so I can find something not too far from you guys, so you can work on this project for me in the future. I do like Piemonte area, even though I have not been yet, but in the future I will. Thank you and regards
Hi Christine Thank you so much for - again 😍- writing so nice things about our projects 🙏🏼 Everything regarding cost we prefer to discuss via email as it is very individual. Ciao Cath 🫶🏻
Wonderful design elements. I am sure like US, Italy has its own building codes for Handicap Building Code Compliance that the architects are very familiar with.
Hi 👋 Thank you so much for your kind words 😊 When we ordered the doors we decided to have them delivered with a black mat paint. So it is “factory paint” - sorry I can’t help you on this one. Thank you for watching. Ciao Cath
I love what you have done in this house. Open spaces and larger door spaces are something everyone needs... thanks! Personally, I love the bidet in a toilet. Here in Japan, most new houses and apartments have 'one piece two functions' toilets... excellent. I don't see that here?
Hi Susan Thank you 🙏🏼 regarding grab bars we are still looking for a solution that doesn’t look like something from an institution. Thank you so much for watching. Ciao Cath
Btw, I tried to access your web site and my security software says your IP address (if your websites do not pass the reputation checks. As I understand it your ISP that has provided the IP address can fix that.

Hi KM 👋 Thank you so much for watching 😊 I totally agree - when people ask what house we like most, it’s just like with the kids - you don’t like one more than the others 🥰 Different characters and different charms. Ciao Cath 🫶🏻
Health and long life so that you can enjoy that wonderful place that you have restored and designed with great taste.
Thank you so much 😊

Love these videos!!!! Beautiful homes (inside and out) and great tips!!! The interior design is top notch!

Beautiful project, simple elegance. Thank you for sharing. I was wondering which paint you used on the doors inside.

Great project designing for wheelchair bound persons. I wonder why you don’t have grab bars in the bathroom near the toilet and in the shower?
Hi Susan

What construction company would you recommend me to build a house in Noto, Sicily? Thanks.
Hi Octavio 👋
Thanks for watching 🤩
We work in the northern part of Italy. We don’t have any contacts in Sicilia at all…
Sorry 😘
