Simple fix for grenade indicators that a lot of other games use: confine them to a ring in the center of the screen, rather than the bounds of the screen. They are important enough info to have in the center of the screen, and they can't hide out in the corners or behind your map this way.
That is a good idea.
As an NC infiltrator, I am happy about the emp mine.

I'm really digging the added cure launcher on the auraxium assault rifles. I liked the Unity before the update, and now it has a really quick and useful utility!

Looking forward to further breakdowns and builds. Personally I love a lot of changes and additions, particularly the buffs for multiple TR weapons like the TRAP, T5, and directives, but also how much angled grip helps NC and NC-like weapons as well. See you out there cmdr!
The t32 bull with laser sight, short barrel, and HVA makes for a really good all round lmg. Good at all ranges and insane hip fire and fast reload. Pretty much brought that gun back from the dead.
"they fix the issue so quickly" wish the devs did that level of dedication to the PS4 version. its in such a terrible state
100% agree. I have been playing planetside console for years. Two nights ago I decided to drop it for good. What killed it for me is the total lack of faction population balance. When 1 faction can win almost every alert with 50% server pop for days at a time it gets to be to much. At least before the spawn beacon change you could break some sundies for breathing room against 3-1 pop but now it's pointless you either wait in the spawn room or get farmed. It was fun while it lasted, wish you other players the best but I'm through.

145 Hours in and Im still sticking with the orion vs54. All the new options are cool but I'll keep trying to master one weapon at a time.
Wow this is so sad. At around the 0:50 part I (NC Engineer in white) was dropping many bouncy betties and I had quite the pile going. Looks like it was like that only for me.

you definitely need to try out the trac-shot with a forward grip + hva, it feels so nice to finally have a trac-5 that can hipfire and ads really well
Ooo, I hated the horizontal recoil on the trac shot when I auraxiumed it. Will be excited to try it again.
@@CMDRCyrious yeah, now its like a trac-5, with both a laser and a forward. + you can put a short barrel on it so the laser is even better :)
Kcap is really cool! Because it's like Escape from tarkov leg meta ammo, it's ammo that has really low pen but high flesh damage
Same here!! Was super pumped to put that forward grip on my butcher but completely realize that with 300 round mag is wayyyy too good for many different scenarios. Shame but it’s still good though. Have to experiment more with the heavy barrel. Not 100% sold on it yet.
I am finishing off the Auraxium on that treasured MSW-R, then I am going to dive back into the butcher.

grenade indicators ARE there.... kinda. you can see them when YOU throw the made, but 90% of the time I don't see them on enemy or friendly nades.

I don't play as TR, but I imagine one particular situation where knee capping would be actually useful. Consider chokepoints where your opponents are above you. Their legs are exposed, while their heads are not so much. So, you could hold these chokepoints more easily. However, that's a very niche scenario.

I still can't decide if flechette rounds are any good. It seems to work pretty well on the automatic shotguns but completely gimps heavy/pump shotguns.
I'm with you, I am using them right now, I like using shotguns at longer ranges, but I do notice the missing pellet up close.
Nah, the yellow indicators are there and work well. I have seen those multiple times, and those are easier to see than the classic red one.

I like a lot of the changes. I think it’s super lame the effectively removed nanoweave from the game. Like they really made it specifically to counter unskilled snipers…why?
I’d like to see them change nanoweave to a different play style. It had traditionally been the “health” centric counterpart to advanced shield capacitor. Maybe they could lean into that more by making it a sort of partial Carapace, or adding some slow health regeneration or something.
So many players just didn't like the damage inconsistency. It definitely makes the gameplay faster. I think give it a month, will see if it needs anymore tuning.
No one is talking about that new sexy Legion armor.

When they made the havoc shotgun auto fire did they increase the rpm of the shotgun to nighthawk levels? And also how does havoc feel now after the buff?
I played with it a bit but did not compare stats.

I've seen it a few times now too.
The pros can cry all they want, but the nerf to nanoweave, and the ability for new players to have a fighting chance against pros is a step in the right direction. Still, it doesn't stop headshot multipliers, so that's something to take into consideration. As buggy as the game is right now, I'm pretty content with this update.
The “pros” wanted nanoweave removed because literally no one has %100 headshot accuracy. It benefits everyone by reducing inconsistency in ttk

Always love you stuff Cy...wanted to pick your brain a little....as you might recall like yourself im old school PS1 vet where skill individual skill level was a very valuable resource... soloing a MAX with an MCG and AP rounds if you could out maneuver them in Agile Rexo lol. That said good squad based teamwork was king.
I knew from the get go the game was gonna change when i saw how fast the the TTK was....do you think the even faster TTK even though small might me taking us further away from what was one of Planetsides iconic team based focused gameplay to lure in more standard FPS players to make solo play far more viable option? Hey Supa. I am torn on the longer TTK. I do like it that way. I feel like games where its just first person to shoot and mag dump wins is not fun. But I also understand the challenge for newer players, they are used to FPS shooters a certain way, and if PS2 doesn't adapt to be similar, it's not going to be able to attract new players. I think it's a double edged sword to be honest Supa, but I do think this will help the majority of the players.
I have the Tan looking Rail guns for the NC. Did they do anything to my babies?
Tell me, does reducing the Betelgeuse heat mechanic down to 25 round put it on equal footing with the butcher that is now able to spit out 450 to 600 rounds non-stop?
I have not played the Betel since nerf, I will have to check it out.

I'd really love to like the lodestar module, but in all of my time using it it feels rather underwhelming and vulnerable.

I'm on the fence with the nanoweave update. I thought it should be removed but I was unaware of the reality of it shielding against high ping effects (especially on Emerald which has become the hodge-podge server for population reasons). Never have I died around corners or kill traded so much until after this update. It's crazy. Maybe that's good for new players? Not sure.

I’ve just recently came back and play on server emerald on pc and it’s unplayable I keep getting error coded and I’ve heard they’re hopefully patching it because it’s not my firewall
I’ve been told it’s being patched though had a blast for the time I played

with this update i wish they would have removed suppressors from lmgs (except maybe the assault lmgs.)
im starting to think with the spam of grenades and medkits that maybe its time to drop the max number carried per life from 4 to 3 for those items
Medkits and grenades cost nanites, making them far more preferable to everything else you can spam with nanites
Been saying this forever now. The grind is so much. The arax medal takes way to long and you get burnt out. Other then that I actually been loving the new content. (I'm on playstation) but fr the game feels pretty good with Oshar just waiting now for this patch.

Oshur is on PS4, this patch will probably need a few weeks before it can go on.

NC already had the sabot rounds. TR didn't have a faction specific ammo yet.
@@CMDRCyrious only a couple of NC weapons can use those. ive seen more kcap ammo used then sabot ammo
Slugs are back to being useless on semi autos, its a shame it was really just the baron that was the problem.

Cerberus ammo is pretty pointless though, i do not think even bad players would prefer to fire 3 SPREAD bullets each dealing 83 damage than one dealing 250...
Sounds like its trying to shotgunerize carbines or ARs or whatever its on.
@@CMDRCyrious Except they missed the main point of shotgunerizing that is dealing more damage up close and less at range... I guess there is one small benefit of cerberus ammo that gives you possibility of headshotting while shooting at a torso during ADS. But the lower damage per split projectile makes it hardly worth it imo.

@@CMDRCyrious Thank you, I played the game when it first came out to PS4 but stopped for awhile. I regret doing that, but I came back shortly before the Oshur update.
I am not sure I care about the "realism" of shotgun pellet spread increase and decrease. It is all about balance and game feel, realism is secondary to that.
Honestly I miss the days of causing server crashes with c4 charges 😜
I've put 6000 hours in this game and I've got to say this patch was awful. I had a feeling this would happen. Adding so many attachments that make gun even more easy to fire has screwed this game imo. I was saying before this launched is was a awful idea to add so much to so many weapons. The balance of the weapons is so off and the freezing is so bad with that. It's made the game I've played for so long unplayable. Even after fixing the freezing issue its going to take them forever to rebalance all these weapons that have changed into noob farming machines. The player base will drop due to how easy it will be for pro shooters to dome. On top of this before each gun had a feeling of character. Many attachments destroyed what made them unique.

This wont be remembered as the Arsenal update, but the death of VS. Nanoweave was a direct nerf to them for the same reason its an overall buff to newer players. The accuracy of the VS weapons was so that they could land more headshots to balance out their extreme disadvantage in raw damage. Now that the value of headshots has gone down in terms of time to kill, the NC and TR have an extreme advantage over them. The 20% loss of health to body shots should be coupled with a 2.4x multiplier to headshots so that their bullshit reasoning of "consistency" remains while not completely destroying a 3rd of their game.
Well At least vs won’t actively be trying to go cqc now and against higher damage enemies (nc) or faster fire rate (tr) which are actually ment for cqc unlike accuracy which is ment for range..

You may have just been super early when there was only a couple likes and dislikes. Likes spike overtime.
