Do you reckon you could skip cast a top water cicada? I don’t know what it is, but I think the trebles cause issues?
Hahaa. Thanks for your support man ;) you might be able to get a bounce or 2 but it’s a funny shape and lots of bits to catch the surface of the water. Soft plastics have that forgiving body so they work a lot better. A soft plastic cicada.... there’s a lure! Kokoda made one a while back but it wouldn’t skip either. It was Weedless though
mylurebox yeah thought as much. Fish candy made a soft plastic cicada lure, I loved using them, so subtle, but they haven’t produced them for a couple of years unfortunately.

Mate are left or right handed? I’ve tried left flicking and I’ve tried left hand winding but i just feel so unco, is it just going to take time to get used to ? I don’t know what is harder, being accurate casting left handed or casting right handed and winding with my left both feel so odd ;(
Hi Daniel. I’m a lefty. That said, most rightys I fish with just switch hands after it lands. Can def. appreciate your feelings like that.
How do you go about preventing over spinning when skip casting
It’s mostly with the thumb Josh ;) and plenty of practice and overruns in the early days
