Great job. I did the same repair on a switch lite weeks ago, but instead of filing the new usb-c connector i cutted the extra metal with a jewelry hand saw, worked very well
14:57 we've all had those moments. i was restoring a car once. got it all together and it wouldn't start. turned out i forgot to plug all 8 spark plugs in. that'll do it alright
Hi ! Great repair. My issue seems to be something else. I get the right power output on the usb multimeter but the switch charging doesn’t wanna show up after even I put a new battery
Always a good idea to check the port on the charger that came with the switch. Faulty ports often destroy new ports. Don't ask me how I know!!! Good video. Thanks!
The Hakko original tips should do a good job. I have better luck with flatter, knife like tips over a conical when it comes to holding solder. More surface area I suppose.
I just acquired 20 Nintendo Switch lites from a Facebook Market Place for $320.00. Conditions are bad cosmetic damage and they don't turn on. Where should I start? I have all the tools needed and all new screens which are 8n horrible shape. Also any ideas where to get parts?
I have not worked on my Switch Lites at all. People seem to want too much for broken and they are only worth so much working. I don't know where to tell you to get parts but I would try AliExpress or Kasyn Parts. Also, if you can, get yourself one good working Switch Lite to make comparisons too. It's the next best thing to a schematic.
Hey bro .. nice video ..please help me if you can 1) i have a nintendo switch ac adapter (which is fine) but its usb typec male port is faulty .. now the thing is when i stripped the wire .. i have 5 wires (2 black / 2 white/ 1 blue) 2) using the multimeter is not helping me understand these wires .. here is the information that i can give you : using the multimeter (now I am checking the voltages of different combinations) a) white & black : 0 voltage b) black & blue : 2.94 volts c) white & blue : 2.94 volts d) white & white : 0 voltage e) black & black : 0 voltage Additional information a) there is continuity between the 2 blacks wires .. and same there is continuity between the 2 white wires .. PS: if I could understand those wires .. i can put a new usb typec port .. i have been trying to get this info .. but there is no help .. is there anyway you could help me .. please let me know .. Regards Rahul
Im 2 years late to the party lol but HYPOTHETICALLY… say that your 8Q and M92 doesn’t have any shorts in your capacitors and your fuse and charging port aren’t shorted where would you have gone next? Let’s also say you have 15v and you have the battery plugged in 😂 Trying to learn. Waiting for a no power NS lite to come in the mail.

Thanks! I don't have a saw that small so I have to use a tiny file.
Great video and great job with the camera work!
Thank you very much!
Great video. I recently got into electronics and loving it. Currently working on my sons switch lite which has battery drain issues.
Good luck!

It happens to us all. I seem to be getting worse about "forgetting".
@@ToltecMerc the fact that you admit it though speaks volumes for your character!

Hello thank you for your very interesting video what is your motherboard support please?
Hakko Omnivise. Thanks for watching!
how are you able to get your solder to stick on the tip like that? using a hakko and having hard time with it

Hi, good job. Wanna ask how you connect UNI-T to original wall charge? They are both male connectors.
I found a USB-C gender changer.
May i ask about your soldering iron statiin and what tips you are using ?
I have worked on a few of these now to. Where did you get that board holder?
Hakko Omnivise.
Do you have a link to the board holder you used in this video?
www.amazon.com/Hakko-C1390C-Omnivise-PCB-Holder/dp/B00IX2H050/
Good Video !!! Enjoy it !!!
Thanks!!
Watching you try to snap the battery in around the ribbon killed me on the inside.
Get well soon.
Good repair again
Good job 🫡

I got a Nintendo switch lite my granddaughter dropped it in water we got it out real fast an put it in rice for 48 hrs an won't turn on now
Yeah rice is not going to help you. Many, many Switch Lite have died in the exact same way.
