Very happy you’re showing us the correct masks to buy. I love Bunnings I’m there every couple of weeks, I’ll also look on line. Your right about the staples, they’re often very weak. Thank you once again. 😊
My pleasure Wendy and Im so glad you are taking the necessary safety precautions, many people don't or don't want to know. Appreciate your comment and support. :)
Thanks for that Peter. Im just starting out with mosaics and luckily in my work shed I do have a respirator mask like the one you use. My question would be how often would you have to change the filters? I know it depends on how much work you would be doing. I would prefer to use the ones that come in a pack of 10 as they arent as cumbersome, but then again how long would these last? I know this video was done pre COVID and there would be a few rip offs on ebay now with masks supposedly N95 or P2 standard but they arent.. I suppose you would have to buy from an authorised medical supplier maybe? any help would be great.
My pleasure Vivienne, l can’t answer your question as it depends on so many things and each is dependant on usage and the type of respirator and the manufacturers recommendations and that is who l would call. When buying anything to do with your health it’s always good to go with a well known reputable brand. The other thing is just having the right mask is one thing but it must also fit correctly. I’m glad you are looking after your health there are many in the mosaic industry that are oblivious to safety. Also if you get into the habit of reading the manufactures technical and Manufactures safety data sheets before purchasing a product these will protect you health and also tell you the limitations on a product be it adhesive, grout, etc if l or anyone else suggests anything do this and don’t just accept someone suggestions without looking into it yourself, the sheets are very easy to read and available on the manufacturers website. Welcome to the mosaic journey and it’s a lot of fun. 😀

Thank you again, about to start my first outdoor thinset project and needed an experienced review of masks, in the US!
Thankyou, when choose the masks make sure they are N95 or P2 and have been properly rated. :)
