What lasers nowadays are able to do is fantastic! In senior high school we had a bulky laser gun with an output power of ONLY 1 mW, which was even weaker than a laser pointer for your pocket.
Great demonstration of the G2 Pro. I am looking forward to your builds using this laser. A face plate for a Raspberry Pi Internet radio would be nice. Nice vid! Thanks,
i have 3D printed text in 2mm before without too much issues, just have to know the right settings (like arachne instead of the classic wall generator in prusa/orca slicer / bambu studio.) but yes, a fiber laser engraver is quite a nice upgrade for quick and easy work on this.
The surface of the object needs to remain in focus, so needs to be a precise distance from the laser head. They have two rotary attachements available to do this, one is a roller design and one is a chuck.

Good machine for business, too expensive for home use.
I wonder how this performs when trying to engrave on curved surfaces
