Wow! I love that small laser! Proves that you can have a powerful laser in a small form factor. Also I like the knife where you cleaned the surface. Great video!
Hi there. Thanks for the video. I'm just newly looking into laser engravers, and I'm wondering: This thing doesn'tt have a camera, does it? I'm really curious as to how you are able to so accurately linew up the engraver with the knife blade, or center it on the coin. Does it shoot an alignment laser outline of the artwork that allows you to align?
There is no camera, however as long as you are using either EzCad or LightBurn you can use the laser’s Galvo outline feature. This will outline your image so you center your work. Now, the galvo laser needs to be 100% compatible with LightBurn, and not just GRBL control. You do not get a true galvo outline preview without true galvo support in LightBrurn. This laser is fully LightBurn compatible.
@@TripodsGarage Thank you for the info, man. I'm sure that's common knowledge to a lot of your viewers, but it helped me to understand what's going on.
Awesome video! It sucks that you got some "bum" coins but from a viewer standpoint, it was nice to see how quality material makes a major difference! The knife was really nice. I was impressed with the way it all lined up! Looked great!!!
Yeah, was not happy when I did a reorder and received cheap brass coated coins. I love how the knife came out as well! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I just received my 30 watt G2 Pro and am glad I watched your video because my laser housing is also not level with the bed. I never would have thought to check that. Thank you for a great review. By the way, did G-Weike ever send you a new L-bracket and did it fix the out-of-level problem?
I am glad my video helped you out. Hopefully that did resolve your issue? I was a beta tester for the Longer Nano laser, and received a prototype. That is when I first discovered a Z L-Bracket that wasn’t perfectly level to the bed.
I haven’t tried engraving anything yet. I had to shim my unit about 3/16” in order to get it level with the bed. I’m somewhat concerned also that the “L” bracket is only secured with a knob and it’s not very sturdy. Wish they had used multiple screws that could be tightened down snugly.
@@TripodsGarage makes sense, thank you so much for your answer, which now leads me to my next question, then, how did you manage to create an engraving file that had the exact blade shape in the software!? 😅
@@bclp52 - What specifically are you looking to engrave? The F1 only has a 2W IR, so this would be significantly more powerful. If I was just looking for a fiber, then yes, I would buy this over it.
@@TripodsGarage All machines come along with safety glasses, what are you talking about ? The laser source is the most important part. You can have a brand that sells a fiber laser at 4000€ and another at 2100€ with the same laser raycus source. Galvo head + software + safety glasses will never justify that price difference.
@@GAMEVUEG- I really don’t care if you or someone else wants to use the included safety eyewear. I just chose not to, and use a safety certified brand. You do you.

Yeah, I am amazed that the can fit a 30w fiber in such a small package! Definitely one of my favorite lasers.
Great review and congrats on hitting 50K!
Thanks so much!
How do you make the background the same shape as the knife i just purchased the same laser

Thank you so much for the video. How do you actually manage to position the knife blade to have the design directly on it?
I used the laser’s galvo preview/outline. As you can see it was pretty darn accurate 👍

Would you buy this machine over the xtool f1 . Im looking for fiber

@TripodsGarage ty for adding context to the difference. I'm definitely leaning on the true fiber side now. Thanks a bunch 🙏🏿
@TripodsGarage and metal marking is mainly what I what to be able to do
@@bclp52 - It is a real nice machine, and with the discount you are getting a lot for the money. Be warned, fiber lasers are addictive 😂
On it !! 😂
Yeah! Now you know how to make a challenge coin, better get on it 😂
certified means nothing since certifiying them is a hell of a price. Some brands simply just don't do it
That is why you buy from a reputable brand. Not some cheap knockoffs.
@TripodsGarage I own a "cheap knock off" you don't know about cnc and electronics if you think the brand matters and not its conponents
@ When it comes to eye safety, I don’t do cheap.
