Good job mate, it's all about starts, corner speed, being smooth , consistent and traction basically, good drills, there's plenty more drills, so it's great to see you improving. Hopefully you can get more podiums soon man. 👍🤙😎

    This was great!!
Even for those of use who don't race, but ride enduro, dual sport etc, so many good points and ides for practicing in unpredictable bush/track/trail conditions.
Keep at it! 50% chance now I can get from Tokyo to Coolum for the final rounds. See you there hopefully!

Thanks Joel, we want to see a Levi kitchen out of you tomorrow.
Holeshot, take the lead and ride without THINKING about anything else but the battle between the you and the track like Malcolm Smith said.

Hi Joel, great info! thanks for sharing your knowledge. just wondering how you time your sections and laps? do you have someone timing you? or do you use something else?

Hey Joel, on your no front brake etc. drills are you doing laps consecutively until you get your lap time within 1 sec of your sprint lap time? 😅

    • @JoelEvans

I have a roll lap/part lap between each attempt to recover but yep keep going till I get it 👍

all those drills within 1 second of your sprint!!??? How close do you actually get? I'm consistently 2 seconds off when doing no clutch moto's, and find this to be the case with most guys I tech/ride with.

Yeh mate, and I legitimately get within 1 second. The idea of the drills is to push me out of my comfort zone and find more speed. For example in the standing only I am probably going to be a little slower through my tight turns so I have to find a way to push harder than before in the braking zones/ scrubbing or whatever it is 👍
