Sierra Williams Me too! I can’t say why but I just love him, he’s not the greatest actor, there’s just something about him that in every role he just kills it for me. I’ve met a lot of my heroes, I’d love to add him to my list.
@@LapsedPacifist79 He's been one of my favorites since I seen Pretty in Pink as a child. He's always such a bad ass I love it! I've heard really great things about him. I am sure he would be a very down to earth person to meet. :)
I am not long for this world and I am leaving comments on songs that I feel are important. I am hoping my son will find them and they will last long enough for him to find. I think you were too young to appreciate Low but they were one of my favorite bands and this was one of my favorite songs. I love you forever. This song meant so much to me. Hopefully youtube survives. I love you. Keep searching. Carpe diem. This song will be timeless to the right person.
this song is masterpiece. the songwriter knew about that point make songs not cheesy but friendly. so powerful bass line and also beautiful back vocal by drummer
Вся музыка Low построена на деталях и нюансах и это очень важно для минимализма, именно они создают красоту, и самая важная составляющая в этом голос Мими, без него всё потеряло бы смысл
My fav track from my fav album of 2015 (and there was plenty of competition) . The USA's best current band IMO and I have great respect for the National
One of the best songs by Low (and there are many), from one of their best albums. Nice to hear they still got it going for them after all these years, and a couple, for me at least, less great albums lately.
"You know you didn’t understand me I didn’t say it was a problem Before you start to make assumptions Let’s try to cut to the solution You know we should have seen it coming You couldn’t wait till it crossed that line Your hands were tied "I know I do not know the language (our house is on fire) You keep me talking in a circle (house with desire) You can’t just throw it in the trailer You’ve got to stack it so it’s stable (our house is on fire) "Got to wind up all the cables Couldn’t wait to cross that line Your hands were tied To the last that you could find It breaks you every time "On fire House is on fire."
In the UK the music press virtually ignored this band in the end of year "best of " lists. They crowned Julia Halter's album the best of 2015.The latter's album is pleasant enough and she is a nice woman with a good voice. her music reminds me of Low's but the difference is that Low's music such as this track and "the innocents" is magical haunting /chilling and beautiful. Different level to Julia H ps those reviews are "fashion posing as Science" IMO . I remember Q magazine reviewing REM's early albums and giving them 3 stars . The albums were retroactively reviewed 10 years later and the result 4/5 stars nuff said !!
Listening to this in .flac on my Grado SR325es...those bass plucks near end of the song...it's like the strings are my spine. Goosebumps! Especially with that howling.
Jack Evans They've been a constant backdrop to my life over the past 12 years. I suggest The Curtain Hits the Cast but Drums and Guns, Great Destroyer, or Things We Lost in The Fire. Alan Sparhawk is genius, youtube his other bands, Black Eyed-Snakes and Retribution Gospel Choir.
Jack Evans Most have been mentioned already, but I really love Long Division which has a lot of slow burn, lovely songs. The Great Destroyer and Things We Lost in the Fire are both brilliant
Jack Evans have to check out Secret Name. It's earlier than all the suggestions except Long Division. I'd say Trust too. My faves in order are Things..., Secret Name, Trust, Great Destroyer, C'mon, Invisible Way, Drums and Guns... Most pop-accessible is probably Great Destroyer which is not that poppy, but maybe good place to start.
Wonderful. (Some) experimental sonics, but obviously not on the purposeful-alienation trip that dominated "Drums and Guns". Now if only they'd ever tour in the South again...We're not all So Carolina, y'all! :)
The Blacklist is always playing awesome songs!
Nailed it!
I can’t even say how many cool bands I found from that show. Plus I got major wood for Mr Spader anyway. So fuckig cool
@@LapsedPacifist79 You & I both. I love me some James Spader

Daaaaaaaaaaamn. This band started off amazing and just gets better and better.

I AM that person, the right one. Ta!
Utterly brilliant.
Cannot wait for the new LP.
Eliot Breen One band that has done no musical wrong.
Torrey Laxson well, they found their own playground, and no one's ever done musical wrong in their own playground
+akhmad alfan (Angrysons) HOW DO YOU KNOW
Proud to be Minnesotan
she really has a beautiful voice!
R.I.P mimi 💔💔💔
Sounds like a dude
any Twin Peaks lover here? I just think Low should have performance in the Roadhouse, just so match that atmosphere!
Definitely, agree, would have fitted right in. Love Twin Peaks both the old and the new season.
Especially after Double Negative and now Hey What which is a little dialed back in studio stuff.
This song would’ve been perfect though.
The staying power of this band is incredible. Love the new single.
I have watched buildings burn down and this 100% sounds like a house burning until after the vocals the support beams blow one by one
Just saw Low for the first time in 20 yrs, at The Hague, Holland!!! Loved it!!! Their voices live are just has when I started listening back then.

how can you not love this song, excellent
This song is awesome. Heard it for the first time yesterday. Love it!
Maarit X Your yesterday, or my yesterday?
My yesterday, my reality. :P
same!
your yesterday is my today but 6 years apart
time is an illusion
Six years later, this is still a good song.
Seen Low live twice. Just a great band.
From Minnesota here, 89.3 brought me here :)

un cerino o uno sparo nel buio. grande pezzo, grande chitarra.

"You know you didn’t understand me
I didn’t say it was a problem
Before you start to make assumptions
Let’s try to cut to the solution
You know we should have seen it coming
You couldn’t wait till it crossed that line
Your hands were tied
"I know I do not know the language
(our house is on fire)
You keep me talking in a circle
(house with desire)
You can’t just throw it in the trailer
You’ve got to stack it so it’s stable
(our house is on fire)
"Got to wind up all the cables
Couldn’t wait to cross that line
Your hands were tied
To the last that you could find
It breaks you every time
"On fire
House is on fire."
this song rocks so...softly
It ROCKS! ...you to sleep
Sounding timeless already.
So awesome to have more from this amazing band...
Such a great song
Radiohead 🤘
At first I thought it was going to be a Spanish version of "Don't Understand"
Amazing song. Thank you The Blacklist for discovering this song for me
Excelente, sublime!!!! Gracias por compartir.
There's doom in that breakdown.
Fantastic song!!

The sad part is that they aren't even good shows either. Fucking Catfish? Really? You mean people actually still watch MTV?
Of course ridiculousness is on it bro
being old is your only personality trait, isn't it? sad.

Heard this thanks to Uncut sampler. Great song.
❤️🔥
I've only just discovered Low! Could someone recommend one of their albums to start on? Thanks in advance!
Jack Evans start with Drums & Guns and then work your way up.
Jack Evans I started with Things We Lost In The Fire. Gorgeous album.

Preferred Lizzie as a blonde.
Great tune.
Brandon Sly I know, she looked good with blonde hair, even though it was a disguise 😂
how did they not use it for peaky blinders?
