I was an assistant for a live music team in Coventry that put Low on in a church in 2010. I sat stage side for the whole thing. They were glorious from start to finish. RIP Mimi. Love to Alan and all in your orbit.
In my nearly 75 years I heard thousands of groups, singers from all genres, origins and Low will always stay in my top 5 without hesitation. RIP Mimi, we'll always love you ....
My favourite band...and the more I listen, the better it gets. This album is absolutely sensational. Thanks for leaving behind such a fine body of work, Mimi, but I still miss you.
Came here today to hear this. To remember a friend, a combination of talents and loves. So much of my adult life has been shaped by this music. Thanks Mimi. X
For me 1. Things We Lost in the Fire 2. I Could Live in Hope 3. Hey What 4. The Curtains Hits the Cast 5. Double Negative 6. C’mon 7. Trust 8. Secret Name 9. Ones and Sixes 10. Long Division
@@raikbaby1685 Great list. I have to be honest The Great Destroyer is the album that got me into them originally in 2005 so that'll always be one of my favorites of theirs . I know in retrospect now it's not considered one of their best but I love it.
i heard this song before mimis passing and it hit very close, and very personally. after the fact it just makes it so sore. not hard to listen to, but something you have to listen to.
To think that they so fully held her mortality in mind at the time of this... breaking hearts all over again right now. Thank you, Low. Thank you, Alan and Mimi, for sharing so much of yourselves. Damn.
This is not just a song with a video accompanying it, it is a work of art, a beautiful, abstract piece, a collage of sound and colour...so meticulous and precise, yet warm and human...just beautiful
You could always elaborate better, so it doesn't seem like a typical, shallow platitude from a fan on the internet...y'know, describe what you find so amazing...just an idea.
you sure can. they deserve it. not a single bad record in nearly 30 years of career, everything they've done has been above "good", and they keep evolving like this. they really care about what they do and it shows. bless alan and mimi. pure souls like none other. and one of the best duos/bands that has ever roamed this earth.
Alan, I only know you because of my friend, Glen. Looking into Low's music lately has been...significant. When i watch this video, I can see how much you cared for each other. I can also see how she gave you the morsels of how to survive. Please hang on don't give up.
This band took me to another planet the first time I heard them years ago. Enjoyed every song they wrote, found clarity in life, this bands music saved my life. Then I saw them LIVE, and they again took me to a place musically that was without words. Truly an AMAZING BAND!!! Loved seeing you perform live in Duluth, MN!
"what does it cost you to give it away? You never wanted it any other way (Hey) speaking more and asked that is to pray Maybe that's the last thing you should say" RIP Mimi Parker
Thank you Mimi for your beautiful voice, harmonies and songs. Been a fan since the 90s. I just can’t believe it. “How’d we get here so fast… hold me closer than that.” -Closer, Things We Lost in the Fire. ❤😢be free and sing in wonderful eternity.
Just got the cassette, as a gambol on the nature of the art work, the shop having no cassette player. Something I did as a teenager way back in time, must say what a precious gem of a find! Brilliant composition's/songs, taking their very own path in creativity! Lovely!
So underrated, world-wide, for year's now. But that's what makes them more unique. You've got to totally be into your music to appreciate bands like this.
Thank God for you Mimi. I will enjoy your work as I try to get people to be more serious. I found out that people who praise people cannot be serious. So I will only recognize the full worth of the creator of the truth that brought us you. As we people cannot recognize the full worth of a person. People create lies. It’s sad to see so many Low listeners misunderstanding that. How unknowingly insincere of them. I hope someone helps them understand that better.
la manera en que low esta utilizando las texturas sonoras y técnicas de producción para darnos contra una pared de emociones no tiene comparación con nada
This album hit me so hard. I've been listening to you guys since around 2007-ish, and I love all of your music, so I knew it was going to be good, but I really wasn't prepared for just how good this one turned out to be. I personally am considering it your best so far. Congrats, and all the best
Please someone make a super slowed and reverb version. I'm pretty sure divine intervention was a part of the creation of this track. RIP and lots of Love
Thank you for all you've done, Mimi. Rest in peace.
Mommy?
She's on her way to Heaven or there already... Low has been one of the most important bands in my life for over a decade
❤
Just watched "Can U Hear" vid. Seeing him wondering in his overalls searching .....💔😢
Rest in Peace Mimi. Thank you for everything, for your music, your soul, your everything. Goodbye Angel
Very sad about Mimi’s passing. I will forever cherish the music and her beautiful voice.

this is one of the best-produced textural landscapes i've ever heard
Incredible.
The sound spectrum that Low handles is the most innovative in the last 10 years. I hope you will ever take a tour of Argentina :)
and Chile as well :)
Low is consistently innovative. I always wish I could be a fly on the wall anytime they're creating new music together.
rip mimi, sonic creativity right here, thanks Low
An absolutely gorgeous work of art 🙏🏻🖤
Just saw them live in DC. Amazing! Been a fan since the early 90s
I Love You Each So Much For This. Thank You.
This is a wonderful musical harmony.. You take control of the most subtle feelings and emotions with the help of the music
