    VERY COOL Nigel! Getting a nice even twist on a taper is a hard thing to do. You made it look almost easy.

      Hi Elias thank you .i will be filming more of the work we do for you all to see .its nice to share things with others and we all need a good laugh ,most blacksmiths tend to blow things up even your welders when you over load them .

    So nice to see you having fun with innovative techniques and interesting pieces! I’m really looking forward to seeing more of your videos. I worked as a production blacksmith in my 20’s, and now at 60 I’m setting up a small forge to play/make beer money. You have inspired me to try a variation on the fossil - they are fantastic! Thank you!

    Wow, that was creative as nothing I've seen for a long time! Your skill is beyond good, and the end result is awesome!!! 👍
    The end was somewhat of a surprise, but very entertaining! 😄 But then, with winter, covid and everything, it's the small things that lifts the day! 😉

      @@NigelBarnettArtistBlacksmith Would love to see more of your work and the process behind it! I use one of your 1kg pro cross-pein hammers every day, although with far less skill than yourself, hah :) Maybe some day I'll be able to afford an Anyang 15Kg from you, and you've definitely sold me on the idea of an induction forge. All in good time though ;)

    What do you put on the scroll with the chip brush? Is it beeswax or flux?

    • @NigelBarnettArtistBlacksmith
      @NigelBarnettArtistBlacksmith  3 роки тому +1

      hi Tom its beeswax and graphite .i melt the wax and put as much powder as i can .any thing to hold the graphite in solution will do .oil smell bad though .I use the same on all hot forging dies to stop things jamming then you can get them apart and not weld them together .
