You did not check the bearing!? I did a similar job on a Webasto unit and felt that it was a good idea to chnge tge bearings as well. Now I have a Jag X350 and did order the seal kit. So now I wonder do I need to owerhole also the motor.

you are correct, the bearing should be checked. Give it a spin and if it's dry and noisy or lots of slop in it then it should be changed, as well as the drive-end bearing. And dont put cheap bearings in, for the sake of a couple of extra dollars get some good brand name bearings, basically nothing made in china.

Is there a way to undo the crankshaft from the motor?

hi , very rarely need to replace the bearing unless lots of water or condensation has effected the bearing .

Hello, I took the compressor off the truck and tested it with a 12 volt battery and the motor does not power on. Does the motor need to be replaced or can be refurbished? Thanks
