Thank you for the video. I’m new to LR air systems so I’ve found it very informative and helpful. Cheers
Many thanks for the insight into the Hitachi compressor. Very handy vid when learning about LR's.
This was a fascinating video, I think the lesson here is buy a new one and then see if you can service your old one as a spare for later
Nice video i am definitely going to have to take mine apart now and chech the dissident thank you
Good video, thanks. I usually lube up rusty bolts and hit with a hammer and use hand tools if it looks bad to avoid stripping heads.
Cheers, very informative. Mine needs servicing, but I'm not holding down much hope of it being any better than yours.
Lay of the impact drivers dude 🤣🤣🤣👍😀
No penetrating lubricant and powertools. Wonderful.
Great video - thanks!
a little bolt free spray may have helped
Nice!
Hi ! And thank you for this video. On my D4, I've an Hitachi compressor that I want to replace by an AMK, cause I've bought a new one before knowing they were not "plug and play"...
What are the modifications to do in the piping and what I will need to do ? The secondary plug shows only 4 wires (6 for Hitachi). Does it matters, supposing having to replace the firmware (with my GAP tool) ?
Thanks in advance for your precious help.
Michel
Great video but if you had used an spray oil like wd40 or rust breaker you might not of had so many bolts shear off on you but then again the parts come off a landrover so it’s surprisingly hasn’t fell apart before you took it off 🤣🤣🤣
I’ve got to take my air dryer apart as my compressor’s struggling just lately 😔
Wish me luck as I use mine off road lots so it’s always in the thick gloopy mud and water 🤣🤣🤣
Hi.what did you use under piston.oil?in shaton
Talk about heavy handed
Where do you get replacement filters from please
Any chance I can buy the dryer filter unit ?
there is another bloke that calls a screw, a bolt
what a horrible peice of metal.
I was thinking about replacing my P38 pump with one of those that I found used, but seeing this, no way!

The P38 pump came apart no problem, its a Dunlop, I wonder are they better metal.
Nice to hear an Irish accent.
What you think is the exhaust valve pipe is the crank case breather pipe. What you're not exactly sure is what, is the exhaust valve. What you think is the exhaust valve is the delivery valve.
Cheers Russ!
@@FixitSam would you sell me your old motor? In the uk let me know if so
So I bought a cheap ebay compressor and it pumps up good, but psi bleeds of in like 5 seconds when it turns off. I have parts compressor that ring is warn? Is that exhaust valve my culprit? Think I could just swap it into the ebay one? I would like to know where the one way check valve is to hold pressure into the dryer side.
