Looks great. Definitely an option when my Arrow comes due for new windows.
So there is still a centre post in the middle. I thought it would be one piece without a centre post for improved visibility. Seems pointless if the post is still there.
Also, any damage to the windscreen means replacing the entire panel, instead of just one payne.
What happened to your outside air temperature probe?
Correct, however the black round support post is MUCH smaller and less visually blocking as the stock T bar. Changing the glass in the future will definitely be more work but IMO worth the trade for a much cleaner look.
The Dynon EFIS has a new digital OAT sensor so I was able to eliminate my unicorn horn lol. Thanks for watching!
Is this also for a 1973 Warrior?
I believe so. You can contact LP Aero or check their website. I have seen newer Arrows with this STC.
Am I like the only one that watches you content, and not an airplane owner?
I don't have the answer for that, but we are SO glad you are here and watching! Thanks for your support!
But you work on drones soooo, close enough eh?
We’re you able to do this yourself or did a A&P have to get involved?
A&P definitely has to be involved.
Nice vid. What's the advantage of this, over the two piece? Any reason to do it if your two-piece glass is good?
No real reason in my opinion other than cosmetics. From the outside, it gives it a cleaner more modern look. I don't think there is any documentation on a speed increase. What I really like, is the increased visibility inside looking out. The black bar is much easier to see past vs the stock T bar. Thanks for watching James!
.250 thickness is a margin of safety better and quieter. I think factory installed was .150 thick IIRC.
HI Schaun, does the kit bought at LP aero includes he center post?
Yes it does. It comes with everything you need to complete the STC. Was a very complete kit IMO.
if you don't mind me asking how much did this cost?
The window kit was around $1800 if I remember correctly. I would figure about 20-30 hours labor at your local hourly rate. Hope this helps!
i thinki liked it better before
