My man! You are clutch! I cannot find a single video on UA-cam when it comes to this topic. I was about to buy the MY7 seater but I had no idea if our car seats will work. I need 2 rear facing in the 2nd row and a front facing (4 yr old) in the 3rd row. The deal breaker is now that u showed me, is that 3rd row will have little to no leg room. Even with a booster it looks like.

Yeah you’re right, I don’t think your setup will give much room. I also didn’t have much info on this before buying mine except for going into dealership to eyeball the interior space with their displayed model. Hope it helped you make a decision. Thanks for watching!!

One option is to have second row pushed all the way forward for your infant car seat but then that’ll give very little room for the first row. When I installed the infant car seat in the video, I made sure a reasonable amount of room is left in the front row which ended up having no room in the third row. Either way, I agree with you saying it’s a deal breaker…

Tip the man for making this video something - if you are looking at this vehicle you can afford to tip. Thanks for this video - I needed it.

I have the same car seats and they fit very well in my model y by pushing the passenger seat a little forward it works out good. As far as the stroller goes just remove the wheels on the upper part when it’s placed in the trunk it’s actually very easy to remove them and put them back on.

Thanks for the video! Just ordered our MYLR 7 seater and we are in the exact same situation (expecting 2nd child and parents will be coming to help for a few months). We also have the Nuna RAVA and Nuna PIPA so this video is basically exactly what I needed!

Wow!! Good to see such same situation as us! You’ll be glad to know, our second child is now 2 months old and six of us are all very much enjoying the Tesla every weekend😉😉

Great video! Very informative. MYLR 7 seater is more for people that don't use all of the seats daily, it's just an extra resource to have and use every now and then. But if you really want to buy one, you can make it work, just not as comfortable.

Love to see if you can fit two car seats on the left side of the middle row, that way, people from the third row can come out

    • @hammerandrake
      @hammerandrake  Рік тому

I think that is something possible with slim carseats, those that can fit three in a row

I really wish I’d found your video before got mine. It’s really challenging to fit infant car seat and regular car seat 😫 I couldn’t find any info before😢

Clearly I am in the right channel so I have a question for the video uploader. I have my third kid coming up in November (God willing) and I am getting a Model X this summer to accommodate our new needs because now we will have three kids.
My older will be 10 by then and the youngest will be 8 by the time the new one is born, thankfully the two of them don't need big car seats anymore and use boosters, so the problem with having both an infant and a toddler car seat won't be a problem.
My actual problem is this, we don't want their lives to change so much to the point where we want them to keep their usual spots in the car, we don't want to push either of them to sit in the middle so the new infant car seat takes the window seat, not to mention it's more comfortable for the wife or me (whoever is on the passenger seat) to tend to the baby if they are in the middle seat.
What infant car seat do you recommend that could fit in the middle of the middle row while still having two older kids on the sides who still use a booster? I know there are some narrow seats as I've seen pictures of people cramping up three car seats in smaller vehicles but I'd love to know your input, regarding a specific brand. Because I am buying a new stroller and the prices of those are insane, they come with bassinets and infant car seats, which would be cool if I knew that specific car seat fits on the model x.
The other reason we want the infant seat to be in the middle is because it's simpler to remove the boosters to lower the seats and let people through to the third row (we're getting a 7 seater) whereas removing infant seats can always be a pain.

Thanks so much for the question but I don’t have a good answer to that unfortunately. I haven’t thought of a scenario where three kids will seat in a row. I’ve seen them on other videos but didn’t have to think seriously about them myself

Nah not worth the extra seats. It seems like an after thought on adding a 3rd row to this. Maybe they should have made a Tesla van or wagon for bigger families.

Yes looking forward to that idea. X isn’t that big either
