  • Here's how I flush my orchid pots to remove from the media excess salts accumulated from fertilizers.
    It's generally a good idea to flush your pots regularly, such that salts and leftovers don't accumulate too much, otherwise with time the media might become toxic to the orchids.
    Pots are best rinsed with soft water, like rain water, reverse osmosis water, or tap water if your water is as soft as mine (my tap water has a TDS of 74 to 76 ppm, so that's very soft and suitable even to my carnivorous plant, which has been growing nicely). I use rain mix (the old formula) and have had good results with that. I hope you enjoy the video. :)
