It is designed and supposed to do that in a run. The front suspension dampeners are lighter on take off, switching the weight to the rear, planting the wheels. This allows for the heated tires to grip and begin to spin but with less wasted energy.
The transmission on the demon is insane, the power that v8 dual exhaust engine transfers from the engine to the wheel is so heavy that there is so much pressure on the back of the car that the front of the car does a small wheelie

Yeah man... I just watched a bunch of videos where they are comparing the demon in drag races. And the shame is none of drivers knew how lauch the demon properly! Afterall the demon is made specifically for drag race .. where the launch is crucial.
Oddly it seems the hellcat actually gains on every run at the end. Sure, off the line the Demon OWNS the Hellcat, but these times are not tremendously different. There was one run where it was a 9.32 which is absolutely insane (probably a race fuel run), but most seemed to be pulling about 10 and change. Seems like about .5 second difference if you add them all up. As for street driving, the Hellcat wins hands down. The last run defining this with a .06 second difference in 1/4 mile race. Not bad for a hellcat....and many more features for comfort in more modern Hellcats. The Demon is arguably the meanest sounding car ever made...a BEAST.
What people don't get is that it takes more and more hp for less and less gain in speed...physics and aero are the limiters. That's why an 800 hp car isn't twice as fast as a 400hp one.
@@slickchick5811 absolutely false hp is mostly a factor in the beginning. if one car is 400 hp and the other is 800 and the weights are similar in the beginning it will def loose by twice as fast. the liter(6.0 -6.4) and the engine (v8) is for the end and to hold your top speed not the hp. thats y in the end there dam near equal. and it litterally proved in this video that the 707hp vs the 800hp in the beginning would say it lost just about by 93hp difference everytime so that proves it right there
The Demon has such a hard launch bc of the 3.09 gearing it has vs the 2.62 the other chargers have. 3.09 is better for 1-3 gear while the 2.62 is better for the higher gears
Hellcat is far from slow, it’s the best available model for the charger. Packs some crazy heat. But of course the Demon is going to stomp it, it’s a demon ❤️
Srt demon his 840hp but I do know some srt demons makes 1,000hp or 1200hp but the demon is a sexy car especially all black out with red headlights and yes I love demon more then a hellcat also take care
