Better wait with that choice. When the demon came out, the fastest non production car did 6 secs I believe. Demon is kinda competible to that. Not really, but for a production car... The fastest now goed 3 SECS on the 1/4 mile, and it gets faster.... So when Dodge's new top car comes out, I expect it to run a high 5 to a low 7. It. Will. Be. Amazing.

The sad part is that Camaro was SUPPOSED to be a muscle car but Chevy decided that they wanted to compete (why?) with their Corvette, even though the Corvette is better in every aspect at what it does. its restarted with the 03 cobra and the 07 GT500. the Chevy came out with the 2012 ZL1. then Ford came out with the 2013 GT500. Now dodge is just trying to play catchup.

The funny thing is that Chevy and ford fans always say how their cars can compete with many exotic cars on the track (which is a great accomplishment) but they still don't make the fastest cars around a track. There is nothing wrong with that but dodge wanted to make the fastest 1/4 mile production car and they actually did that. They aren't just competing with other car brands in that aspect, they are beating every single other car maker in that category.

Manjoyt Kang How about we put it this way, this car is the top of the line challenger, back in the day a top of the line muscle car like a hemi cuda couldn't be bought by any high schooler. Dodge is bringing affordability in terms of sub 3 second 0-60 times and a sub 10 second quarter mile, anything comparable is 150k+.. So as far as we're aware a muscle car is a RWD American V8 and Dodge has brought some glory back to the name. On the other hand, if you want to see some affordable old school muscle with a V8, back seats, a manual trans and a carb go check out the camaro on our channel :)
Dodge has and always will push the boundaries of muscle cars. I’m excited to see what heights they reach next. I grew up in the 70’s on muscle cars and I’ve loved Dodge then and now.

Okay the hate needs to stop. I'm sick of it! This car is a work of art and engineering, whether you like to admit it or not. Name a STOCK production car that can beat this in a 1/4 mile. STOCK! Not a one-off, one-of-a-kind, special-edition, for example a Cobra-Jet Mustang, limited to just 50 units. The only stock car that might be able to beat it is the Koenigsegg One:1 (0-186 mph in 11.922 seconds) and it doesn't really qualify as a production car (7 units worldwide). Anyway, the emphasis here is super-car killer for the masses. And about it's NHRA Ban, it's because the NHRA requires you to have a roll-cage and a NHRA competition license if you run a sub 10 second 1/4 mile greater than 135 mph. And car guys, (and girls,) we are a car community, not a political party. Learn to be not so single minded. Thanks!

Both. Even most hypercars don't come near this performance. Sure, some might argue that that's not what their built for, but it doesn't matter, they have to have massive acceleration to be competitive on a track, so why not test it in a straight line? Anyway, these performance figures would be astonishing even on a million dollar hypercar, it's just the fact that it's a production car that makes it that much better.

True, it probably has a price tag in the triple digits, but that doesn't mean it's not for the masses. All of the Tesla Model S's are over $100,000, and the Hellcat starts at $62,495, both costing more than the average annual household income, and yet I see those almost everyday in SC of all states. You have a really good point about the price, but as long as it's mass produced, it's still for the masses.
