I need to go back there during sunset. Love that place especially sunken city being right next to it. Can’t wait for you to take some shots of the Greek Dominator Wreckage!
Have a 1/8th, myself. and comparatively, I find it usually too subtle to even notice. But when it works, it really works. The light has to be just right, and it all comes together in a way you don't so much notice directly a lot of the time, but more notice when it isn't there. I think the 1/4 would be a better all rounder, for sure. This level 3 is intense. The way it makes the sun just turn into a smudge is quite something.
the color shots using this process have like a weird summer memory feel to them, also wondering how grainy the b&w would be with this promist and a yellow filter 🤔
I'm very interested in the Ingrid Bergman/ Casablanca part and most certainly want to know more about what you mentioned, I do a lot of Hollywood style portraits with Double-X
That's actually the same idea they used for "The Phantom Menace" iirc. The director (sorry for forgetting the name) used a low-con(trast) filter and pushed the film 1 stop to achieve a similar aesthetic. Also, have you tried the promist 3 on 4x5? I'd be really interested how it translates onto an even bigger neg :)
Awesome stuff as ushe dude! I also have that K&F 1/4 strength and personally I think it's a bit much so i rarely use it.. may have to give the "proper" Tiffen a go I reckon. See ya in two weeks man.
It would be interesting, I think, to give a film movie camera to whomever was doing your video (your partner?). Give them a roll of color and a roll of B&W and use that for your next video.
Video @ 8:48 - "worth the effort ?" - Absolutely NO. Shooting at f/22 and gaining inferior 'PUSH' side effects is such a waste of wonderfully designed films. Folks, for optimum taking apertures & quality, SHOOT AT BOX SPEEDS
I took an excellent photo of some pigeons at Point Fermin park last year when I was testing out my Rollei 35. Unfortunately, I screwed up loading the film and didn't get any of the shots from that day. 😢 Also, if you want to sound like a local, call it Pee-dro. I know it sounds weird.
@@BadFlashes well I do street photography the most and I do shoot before sunset Mmmm do you think too much bloom is gonna look good when it comes to shoot on the streets during gold hours or shall I have little bloom…
Wonder what happens if you use a Promist 3 with Cinestill 800T? Do you get a Promist 3 hangover sucking up all that light? Enquiring minds want to know the Bad Flashes results!
Yep, waste of film 😉 You should have spent the money on an Olympus OM1N or OM2n - then Jason would be moister than an oyster for one your cameras, not that he would admit it of course! 😂

I've learned something today. Promist filter looks like I grabbed my lens with my greasy fingers and didn't clean it before shooting
That’s the best look for sure!
Cool experiment! I really liked the look of some of these! The dark moodiness with that strong glow in the highlight areas was very nice!
Cheers! Thanks so much! ☺️
Going boldly where promist has never gone before - keep on exploring! Love your work!
As thanks! I’ll keep trying 🥰🤪
How neat! Dig the duality of soft AND grain. Delicious
Nice!!! So so glad

I was going to go there actually … I hate to admit it but I was being lazy at that point in the day. Lol
@@BadFlashes haha something for another upload then!
Exactly

Yeah, I like the 1/8 and the 1/4 better for most things hahah
Ppppppush it! Push it real good!
ahhhhhhh PUSH IT!
the color shots using this process have like a weird summer memory feel to them, also wondering how grainy the b&w would be with this promist and a yellow filter 🤔
Oh that yellow filter might make things interesting for sure! :)
This video is well timed as I've just brought a Pro mist 3. You are not alone in owning one
Damn…. Just the two of us :)
I'm very interested in the Ingrid Bergman/ Casablanca part and most certainly want to know more about what you mentioned, I do a lot of Hollywood style portraits with Double-X
double x is amazing! love it so much
I never knew i needed a Promist 3 before this video. Damn those shots look s o f t and aweasome, dude!
Hahahahaha I mean I Do do do love it
I really like the B&W shot of the sun and tree at 9:30🤘
Oh yaya …. I’m glad. 🤭

The phantom Menace? Do you mean Phantom thread? hahah
Also for sure! It would totally be interesting. I might have to go further

Yeah. The 1/4 is a bit much. I need to get a 1/8 … I might not even use the 1/4 ever :/
But see ya 🤪😉

Are you saying shoot my next bad flashes episode on 16mm film????? Lol
@@BadFlashes Sure. I think it would be fun! Whoever shot the video for this one did great. Let them use film -- why should you have all the fun?
Hannah I could do a few clips for sure. I do have some 16mm coming soon. :)
But damn that gets expensive 😛
Cheers for the Nikon shoutout on the Grainydays video. Wow, you really hate them & I dunno why...lol. Breaks my heart, dude.
Well…. I might be coming around 😬
I have a black pro mist 3, you’re not alone 😃
wonderful! I love having friends 😆
FUCK YES MYSPACE! And Promist 3s, and Casablanca, and Christmas reenactments #allthethings
Hahahahahaha I just knew you liked them all so I had to do it.
You got Mom spot on.....lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hahahah I was trying 🤪
Thank you for the one shot without filter :D
Hahahab NP …. Honestly meant to do more but I forgot 😳
Very fascinating results, thanks for this video. Was there a mist filter on the video camera during the walk-around? If so, which one?
Thanks! and yes I had 1/4 promist ... I never take it off
Super bluuuuue sky😲
🤩🤩🤩
Love those super blue skys.
Do you ever bring your film photos into Lightroom to fix issues/mistakes?
Yep. Every single shot if there’s something to be fixed on.
Nice, that glow looks a lot like old 1940s lenses!
Oh yeah that’s a good point! It has that old lens look

Pee-Dro …. Hahahaha that does sound weird but I’m here for it.
❤so glad I said yes!❤️👩
Meeee toooooo 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Love you!!!!
Which pro mist you would recommend for a pro mist virgin shooter …
Hummmmmmm depends on what you are looking for in your image … lots of bloom or just a bit of highlight bloom?
@@BadFlashes well I do street photography the most and I do shoot before sunset

Maybe go with 1/8 is at a nice little one

Might just have to try. Lol
Has anyone been able to get this style on Fuji x100?
You could totally get something similar by adding a promist and then taking it into post and cranking the contrast and playing around a bit more
this video was hilarious
Hahaha thanks dude! 😊
Love it
Yes!!!!! So glad
Wasting time and money on film photography? It's what I do best
Hahaa its kinda what we all do best haha
Sigh, time to buy a Pro Mist
I use one for video at night
For sure! I literally always have one on my Sony
Waste of film OR guide on how to turn fresh film into the expired film look?
OH .... I like that title! Much better hahah
aka "the Lomo effect."
Caleb if you like Promist you’ve got to try Glimmerglass at night, it’s like a Promist that only “Mists” the highlights
I think Jason uses the glimmer glasss. I should give it a try :)
thats my house lol
Nooooooooo I can’t be 🤣
That’s toooo cra cra
Yeah…sssssssss
Why buy a promist filter when you can just buy a 5$ uv-filter and puke on it?
One has less messs …. Lol
Out&about with a camera & a companion like that & you don’t ask her to model for you? Would have made an already great video even better. Cheers
haha lucky I guess .... thanks for watching 🤪

Haha yeah… idk about that one 😆
