This was actually my first diy maintenance i did on my B58 on my 2016 340. Was a bit hesitant at first just because working on BMW and doing my first mod, but it was pretty simple and straight forward maintenance and saved over $500!
Colder plug, hotter plug? You have a tune and other mods, but how is a different plug going to smooth out your idle or improve things? Okay, found the answer via google, but would have been good to mention in your video: "Colder spark plugs are more efficient at transferring heat away from the spark plug tip. Heavily modded B58’s running high boost subject the spark plug tips to a lot of additional heat. This may cause misfires or engine knocks. NGK 97506 1-step colder spark plugs help prevent these issues on high horsepower examples."
I’m 2 years late, but from what I understand the 97506 is the same as the 94201 EXCEPT for the ignition coil side, the 94201 has the proper flat-top nub for the ignition coils. There have been people experiencing misfires with the 97506 because it isn’t mating to the ignition coil properly.
What was the problem you had that make you replace the plugs, having issues on my mk5 and just changed the plugs and my problem is still there but it’s weird

My car is sputtering at wot but it’s not does it some times. It will rev up and after 5K rpm sorta does a mini back fire
