I've been in the sign trade for over 20 years and 99% of graphics I apply are done dry. If you are confident there is absolutely no need to use water.

I have used a little dish washing liquid in the water while doing mine (was advised to do so by a sign maker), worked very well, could adjust the position of the decal while fitting.
Hi I know this is possible but with some newer vinyls it don’t work so I didn’t advise doing that 👍🤓👍

I’m sorry Mel I need to teach you how to apply graphics firstly the graphics should have come down to the bottom but it’s fine and you should hinge the paper at the bottom really much quicker but you did a good job

Mel’s Van World if you get a knock back from the DVLA I personally with your colour scheme would name the conversion. IE wanderer or outback or the like in a bright colour. So it was over the top definitely a camper. Then when it passes a video of how to take the shite off 🚐☕️☕️👍🏼🏴🌈🙏🏼💙❤️💙❤️

Nice job Mel, just incase you do more. You can iron out the lines in your stickers with a towl over in and then iron the towl on a low heat and the heat will go through to the sticker releasing the line 👍👍

Talking to a professional car wrapper / tinter a couple of years back and he told me that he used a drop of kiddies shampoo in the water when applying tint or wrap to a vehicle.
Yes that’s what I used to do but some modern vinyl don’t like it so I didn’t mention it 👍🤓👍

Hi Mel,
I have a vinyl sticker that is peeling at edging, any suggestions as to what to use to stick it back down.
I have cleaned what is a small area and tried heating the vinyl to reactivate the original adhesive but sadly it will not stick. Any suggestions. Thanks

Mel’s Van World yeah was thinking of it seen other vans been sprayed in it or maybe be cheaper to spray it fresh coat of white, not sure what’s best :) did you see the batteries I had? If there need vent in the floor? :)

Thank you yes just use hot water really hot water will remove it all 👍🤓👍
Or a hair dryer to heat before peeling (understandably Mel knows nothing of such devices), and WD40 to get rid of adhesive residue. Depending on the paint colour, the paint may be brighter under where the graphic was, but some T Cut or similar can reduce the impact.
You can get what they call a toffee wheel it goes in a drill and it’s very soft rubber you have to be careful not to damage the paint by pushing to hard but it removes stickers and decals a treat.

Computer generate your stickers onto photos. Send to the DVLA. If they say no you have not lost money on real stickers. If they say yes you have a camper/auto sleeper

I think it's partly to do with speed traps. You can only do 50 mph on 'A' roads in a commercial vehicle but if it is registered as a camper you can do 60 mph; we must help the police to understand the difference 🤪

Tell the DVLA to get stuffed!. What more do they want? A big decal saying "THIS IS A CAMPER" Just rip it all off after they see it....The side windows, the stove, the stickers, whats next? Will you have to take a DVLM inspector off camping with you so they can really see its actually used as a camper? lol.....Just ask for a female inspector if that happens!
