I have the 675 street triple which is just amazing. I am 66 years old so it may seem a strange choice but it’s light, easy to ride and comfortable. Mine is more basic than the RS but I love it. I have taken it on A roads B roads and roads with grass growing in the middle. It takes it all in its stride. Great video as always. Dave N.
I had the 675 version back in 2010 and it was an absolute weapon of a bike. Had to sell it before I got myself in trouble with it. I will never forget the howl it made up at the top end of the rev range - absolutely spine tingling. I put louder pipes on it and it drowned the howl out so I went back to stock because you have to hear that engine.
Splendiferous!!!! Finally! What a bike to resurrect the fine word! Triumph headlights give an identity to a class of bike that is hard to differentiate. I love ‘em!!!!❤❤
Morning TAYM , I’ve got the 765R , like you say great all round bike and with a lovely sound track. And at 58 it takes me back forty years to when I was riding my GPZ550 ,with a smile on my face every time I went out on it .😊
The 675 lineage is surely the greatest engine design of the past 25 years of motorcycling , especially when you consider how relatively small and inexperienced Triumph were when it was originally developed. It's been copied by others but never bettered and has proven itself in multiple guises and different genre's of bikes .... a mini masterpiece of engineering.
I’ve had 4 675 street triples in the past my friend John has got the 2022 765R low version he loves it apart from the fuel consumption Well it’s a busy engine he had a Kawasaki ZX9r for 20 years before he recons he got better mpg out of that mind you he’s a very sedate rider now as he’s coming up 77 Another great video thanks HS
Gotta feel sorry for the guy in the Puma its probably got a blown headgasket and he's dealing with the motors unpredictability 😊😊. That is one smooth Triumph. Thanks TAYM.
Great review Not for me tho Reminds me of a praying mantis But then I’m classic all the way now But if I were 16 again who knows Always entertaining with your vlogs and humorous comments Thanks for the ride along And as always Regards from Florida
Morning Taym ,i have a 2022 model and have the same trouble as your mate Dave .A naughty boy bike, love it, unfortunately the latest model you rode is even higher , too much for me 😂
I owned a 12 reg 675 for over 3 years and in 2019 did the Wild Atlantic Way in Ireland. Smallest bike of the group but was a joy to ride 250 miles a day over 5 days. Other than a Nitron rear shock the bike was standard, test rode a 765 R/S just before I traded the 675 in and had to say to the salesman I preferred my 675 as it was the last of the original with the short thro gear box, so took off like a scalded cat. The only reason I got rid of the street triple was the high revving nature and was impossible to ride slowly 😂 the engine was a masterpiece that could pull away in 6th if you wanted without bogging down, was the standard bike not even the r version. 😊
Very nice review with a reminder video. Yes TAYM a superb bike I had one, BUT if only Triumph could put that engine into a Bonneville / Thruxton frame and suspension. WHY I hear you ask. ( probably not) So I can carry some luggage and a box on the back and have a more comfortable riding position. My excuse - I am 76 going on 96 and I need a lower, flat saddle so I can on and off it !
I totally agree, when they first brought out the Trident I was hoping it was going to be Bonneville style and was underwhelmed when it came out, even though it’s a great bike. 😁 Thanks Dave 😁
It sounds like the space shuttle when it is going a bit😁😁. For a sports bike, I think that you have already sold me on the Kawasaki Ninja 400 ZX-RR 👍👍.
The street triple is like a romantic partner with an unfortunate face, but a splendiforous body. Great to ride, but it's a bit embarrassing to be seen with. I gave mine some facial reconstructive surgery with the Motodemic single headlight conversion, and now I'm ready for it to meet the family.
Well TAYM I have to say I keep looking at these and although the looks aren't the best I reckon the ride and performance would make up for that .I am ok with the 675 but the 765 is more for a bike for a giraffe since I am more like little Dave I have tried sitting on one and was on tiptoe virtually 😂. The rear shock looks very like an Olins in colour on that one but be that as it may am I now just to old for this style of bike I ask myself should I be on a more classic style like the Bonneville range . Much enjoyed well done that man 😉👌👍
Has your local triumph dealer got the new 765 r in baja orange yet my days it’s beautiful hopefully ya get to do a video on one and there isn’t that much difference in the r and rs in my opinion
Hello Mr T, if I was in the market for a practical sports 600 this would be it, it’s just just fan-taym-tastic 🤣🤣🤣 great re-review as always…. Ps I have been really really naughty and just bought a Rocket 3R. I know, why you may ask, but my answer would be coz be staring in my own Mad Max movie 😁 so gotta…🤣🤣🤣
A lovely bike TAYM, apart from the bug eye headlights and over stiff suspension, but best naked ever - nah! I think the MT-09 would have something to say about that, let alone some of the more exotic Italian models. The MT-09 triple is as good as, if not better than the Triumph IMHO.
I like the funny eyes lol headlights what I don’t like is that thin sticky out thing at the back , why do manufacturers do that can’t they just put a smart back end on them lick they used too 😊👍
Yes, like a wasp sting isn’t it.😂😂 the problem manufacturers have is that regulations say that they have to put the lights and number plate at the edge of the back wheel which interferes with their design 🤔 it’s a tricky one which can be answered by the purchasers after sale with a tail tidy. 😁 thanks MsD 😁
Good video , no surprise there . But a bit of a surprise when you said that Triumph are now a luxury brand . That hasn't been my experience of two Triumphs , good bikes yes but not luxury . Or perhaps luxury in so much as we do not require them as a necessity for personal transport . Most viewers will regard them as big boy's toys , as do I . The build quality is on a par with the Japanese , which is a good thing , but there are things that the Japanese do better . I looked up the definition of luxury , several dictionaries mentioned comfort . Well , the big Tiger falls short there for a start , and it has many computer quirks that are frankly bk**dy annoying and I see them also on other bikes in the range , unforgiveable really for what they cost . Not luxury in my book . I'm glad that you enjoyed the Street Triple , not my cup of tea at all , ( at my age ) , but I can see the appeal . Splendiferous , but with reservations .
Ah Taym you know I was just busting ya? She didn't send you new pics LOL wanted to give you some hell...... ANYWAY just checking in stirring things up 95 degrees at least we have some tree cover.
Triumphant Effort bigger brother of the Trident 🔱. What are the bars like a little bit more aggressive than Trident 🔱 by the look of it are they higher than the Daytona 660.
You're both hooked on it hey it's better than drugs but the lust or longing for a new horse is always there you can't have too many such a wholesome past time. Not too much into triples my sack is already sweating and it's only 7 a.m. est.
