Simpler times. I'm so grateful I was a kid in the 70's - 80's. Life was wonderful. No tech distractions. Summer's that seemed to last forever. After cartoons and breakfast was over on Saturday morning, me and my siblings were kicked out of the house where we played with friends all day and early evening. We would return at 6 p.m. for dinner and then beg to go out some more. That is a time that will never happen again...at least in my lifetime. By the way, I still remember the TV ad that every night stated, "It's 11:00 p.m. Do you know where your children are?" Yes, life was quite safe back then and we rarely locked our doors.

BTW I also met the great Clark Terry who dropped in to offer advice and coaching to the trumpeter's.

I heard this song when I was young..but never knew the song title
    Ahhh...." Feels So Good"!!
Think they nailed the title...cuz I'm feeling good tapping my toe in a happy mood.
    Who's with me?

Many years ago, I watched a tv show about unusual people with great talents. One man sounded like a trumpet without using a trumpet, and i always wondered what the song was. It sounded like a tv theme, but I couldn't quite work out what it was (though my mind kept going to St. Elsewhere). Now, while watching "Friends", my thoughts went to the episode where Joey's neighbour was singing "Morning's Here", when all of a sudden i realised it was the same tune as what I had heard the man play many years ago. Having Googled the "Morning's Here" tune, I found myself here. So glad to finally know what the name of the song is! 😊👍

    (Intro)
    Feels...so...good
    To imagine that
    My heart so sad
One day will finally feel glad
    To catch a break
    For goodness sake
And that's when we met by mistake
    And now I see
    Indubitably
    Magically
A new start ahead of me
Could this be what I'm praying for
It's a feeling that I never felt before
    (1st verse)
    Feels...so...good
    To see your face
    I can't quite place
Why your look feels like sunburst rays
    Lighting my way
    For me to say
That I am happy that you came
    Into my life
    You brought sunshine
    A love divine
No need to run and hide
It's true that we can conquer all
    When we answer love's call
When it tells us to hear and see
    That there is always harmony
So let's stand up to do things right
    (2nd verse)
    And then maybe...we'll...
    Find a better way
    To play this game
That we call life without the strife
    By being kind
    We heal the mind
The answer was us all this time
    Come be with me
    As it should be
    Live serenely
    No need for more misery
A better place once and for all
Lift each other when we fall
Because it's the right thing to do
Somehow we surely know it's true
    Let's do away with agony
    So we can love...
    (Solos)
    (3rd verse)
    Feels...so...good
    To have you here
    Brings me to tears
    Remembering I used to fear
    Being alone
    But you have shown
That every soul can find a home
    Each other's hearts
    That's where it starts
    Can't break apart
    Such a lovin' so large
The world looks so bright since you came
And I got only you to blame.
For all the good things around me
You've made my life feel so lovely
I'm ready to give it my all
    So we can love...
    (Repeated Outro)
No more feeling sad and lonely
Cause now it's always you and me
No more feeling sad and lonely
Cause from now on it's you and me

One thing about it is that it's about 10% faster than the original version, just coming down to random inconsistencies of playing live.

There were two versions. The long version on the album and the short version on the 45 rpm single that was played on top 40 radio. I still have the 45 single that Ithat I got back when I was a kid

My mother had this in her collection of 33" albums. I have always enjoyed this ear candy, as my music teacher Mr Gambi- used to say to our class, "The mark of a good song is that anyone can whistle it back after hearing it just once! My teacher Mr Gambi- at The School of Creative and Performing Arts- Cincinnati Ohio- mid 70s. "A good song has a memorable melody in which one can whistle back after only hearing the melody one time! "Feels so Good" by Chuck Mangione has what Mr. Gamby talked about 😎🎸🎶🎶
