I remember in an interview years ago with Chuck he was asked if he was tired of playing this tune and he replied"this tune sent my kids to college(he smiled) so the answer is no".
I want to do a study and measure dopamine levels in people when this song is played. The second it comes on, my eyes start swelling up with happy tears, my skin gets goosebumps, and then when the rest of the band starts coming in, I get super excited and start "air playing" all the instruments in the car. It makes me want to pull over and start dancing in the streets. Fantastic song.
Chuck’s brother Gap played at my best friend Marty’s wedding & now we will play this song at Marty’s memorial celebration of life in September. Rest In Peace Marty. George

Chuck is like the Santana of trumpets. It's like a beautiful voice that you never get tired of listening. And to the Singer just pure heart and sentiment..just great talent to both and the band
This was my late mother's last favorite song of her long 98-year life that ended a bit over a year ago. I haven't heard it myself in a number of years. Listening to it just now felt as if Mom and I were once again together, digging it as we once used to.
It reminds me of the good old days back in highschool when we just "smelled the flowers," but no care for other matters except studying and having reasonable fun. Goodnes! How time passes so quickly is amazing. It feels as I traveled in time to this 2015 in a flash from that 78. Wow! Good memories. Thank you Chuck.

When this album came out, our neighborhood postman gifted it to my Mom. I fell in love with it so much, I chose to learn how to play brass, starting with trumpet. I parlayed that into joining a Drum & Bugle Corps, meeting lifelong friends along the way. This song is a gift. Thank you, Chuck Mangione, for this masterpiece.
One of the BEST Instrumental Songs (The Original has no Vocals) in Music History. I have so many emotional Feelings when i hear this Masterpiece. #Like!!!
This is probably the favorite song of my step-dad. When i listen, I remember my mom and him in the early 80's. They were madly in love, and I was very happy for them. Such great times for us.
We use to tease Chuck back in Rochester NY he would be practicing and we would be playing outside , baseball et. Guess who is playing now. God bless your wonderful talent.
I'm 66 and still enjoying the Paisan from Northern N.Y. and this great classic. I'm of course an Italian guy originally from the City. The Bronx . Yeah I like some of the old stuff of pop rock and songwriters. I even have still the special place in my heart for the guys like Sinatra ? Bennett? Dean ? Jerry Vale ? And so on. In fact? I will on many of Sunday mornings will play my special mix. With all these greats . Salute to Chuck who I also saw perform back in the late 80s I even got to meet Chucks pop . The two men are great. Ciao 🍷
Yes! Me! this was the senior ball of 78’s theme song. We also use to say Chuck was from a mafia family lol don’t know if that was true but we loved him. Great talent.
Chuck Mangione had always being one of my favorite performers from my youth, so it is not surprising that when he came to a High School near woodbine, MD where my family lived, that I would want to sit as close as I possibly could to the stage where he played his hit songs. I was probably 23 years old but for that one night, I was a teenager again. He made his way through the back of the auditorium and toward the main stage while playing :Feel so good" and let me tell you, as he walked by me, I was filled with joy, I jumped off my seat, I applauded and shout with glee, I can truly say that everytime I hear this song, I remember that night, when nothing mattered except that two hours later, it was over. Thank you Chuck Mangione, thank you to the people who gave us tickets to that concert, too, you made a difference that night.
I remember so much my uncle Alex with this song! He always showed me how to live my life!!! I'll always remember him with his joy and happiness!!! With a smile and tears, I miss him so much.
Because of his sound on this flugelhorn my choice for a flugelhorn was the Yamaha 631G nearly for the last 35 years. There is no sweeter, warmer, softer and "pearly" sound on another horn possible! Thanks Chuck!
