Update: I can't compare taste with others because I have never had Bolognese until I tried this recipe. I tell you, it's well worth the wait the 3 hours for cooking. It's the best dish I have ever made. It's delicious. You should all try this!!!

Fantastic. I always like to look at several versions of a recipe before I decide which elements to use. This is a little more complicated than Marcella Hazan’s version, but as Lydia pointed out, everyone has a different twist on it. I love Lydia’s recipes and presentations.
Going now to the grocery store to get the ingredients missing to make this dish. I should learn to never to watch your video's when I am hungry. And nothing best to use your vegetables from your own garden. I can't wait to try this. Grazie mille!!!

Like 20 years past, I was living dirt cheap & had old TV with antenna that barely got any signal...PBS got through on Sunday, 1 hour show fuzzy and static.. the home cooking feel of those old days and NYC 13 are great & bring back old memories

Hi Lidia - SPECIAL REQUEST - i would love to see you do a series on all gluten free italian dishes - i am sure you would get tons of views and feedback on it - so many of us that HAVE to eat this like (not a choice) would love to see how a guru like you would take on not just selecting products, but ensuring the flavors are up to snuff as best possible like regular dishes!!

@Lidia Bastianich, An Italian by descent but born, raised and live in England here. My mother, from Amalfi, and dad never really liked bolognese sauce other than in lasagne, too messy to eat!! We always had top quality sausages cooked in the tomato sauce. Intrigued you used just concentrate but it sure looked good! I can't recall when or why we started to add milk/cream - just a small amount but at the end of the cooking process but I always do it myself as the sauce can be a bit harsh on the palate if not used. Makes it smooth and creamy and luscious, mmmmmm💖💖. But my personal favourite is to eat the sauce served on hot buttered toast, heaven on earth. Thank you!

the first time i had bolognese with pink color i assume cream added lol was from a local restaurant ..with potato gnocchi..omg i fell in love with that dish...it had a distinct herb flavor too which to this day i cant tell u what it was cuz i havent had it in so long..rosemary possibly...so good...
