Even though Marcus Aurelius wrote it 2,000 years ago - his insights on Stoicism still carry strong weight today. Stoicism is a school of Hellenistic philosophy founded by Zeno of Citium in Athens in the early 3rd century BC. Even though it is over 2000 years old, more and more people are discovering how Stoicism is not only relevant to modern times, but can be applied in very simple, yet strong ways.

I was in stress in those dark days quit job, broken up, didn't find any light in my way of life. Coincidently, I watched your video, listened to it because I love British accent and I've been learning English then I realized this channel like my teacher -it took me back to the right way, shown for me what I have to do. After one month quitting my previous job (which I didn't like and it took 12-14hours/day ) finnally I found the new job which I really enjoy it🙂. Thank for your effort to make these videos. Hope you and your team have a good health to make lots of precious videos to heal people like me. 🎉❤❤❤

What’s really awesome about Marcus is his journal “Meditations” wasn’t *meant* to be shared… he ordered his journals to be burned upon his death.
Wisely, his acolytes realized the importance of the writings and preserved them for future generations.
Marcus himself would likely feel a certain way about his private thoughts being so widely shared.
Sorry, but thank you MA 🙏🏼

"If The happiness of life depends on the quality of your thoughts" why would one ever think of Negative Visualizations? Especially early in the morning upon waking up where there should be a fresh start and a new beginning? I Believe we can have very little struggle if we visualize that there is a smoothness and easeness of goals we achieve through Postitive Visualizations right? Just a thought though✌️✌️✌️

0:36... "Aurelius shares..." I have to comment on this. He doesn't "share" anything. This book that is called "the Meditations", is a publish work of Marcus' personal journal. In all seriousness, he would be mortified to learn that his privacy was being invaded. He shared his journal with no one.

I don't see how stoicism isnt laughed upon the 2nd grandfather of stoicism died from laughter,I'd say it's much easier to control that emotion than physical pain. Guarantee these dudes lived lavish lives imagine you were a slave back then and you had syphilis. Dude did nothing to help society at all. Dude wasn't born in a dumpster or born with no limbs. Don't link social media and emotions to realistic results.also where are the comments. Bro was not born or raised in a 3rd world country. This is a pure western ideal. Sorry I was a bit rude I know people are different but this IDEAL lifestyle is not realistic. Most people sin so fast without a thought at least the ones who live by this mindset aren't the bad ones just a bit stuck up.
