- The other day I arrived home and later discovered a massive puddle of coolant on the ground under my 2007 Ford Explorer with the 4.6l 3 valve V8. I quickly was able to track this to the heater hose. However online I was unable to find any DIY guides so here is one. I also replaced the heater control valve at the same time.

Thanks bro, just found my leak at the T. Your vid is the only one I could find on replacing the heater hose assembly on a 07 explorer 😎 Cheers!
Seen several asked...
2002 thru 2010 models
Part#: 626-522 (Dorman OE Sulutions)- heater hose
Part#: 74858 for the Climate control heater valve. If you anything like me use the old valve to place on the new hose if its still good and not broken. Im about to replace mine myself. I didnt know anything about the yellow clamps I'll stick with the ones that came from the old hoses as well. Thank you for the video gave it a like and a share and saved it
I just bought a 2008 explorer. I only have had it three weeks and it's leaking from the bottom. Thanks to you for your how to video that I can do it myself.
The only 1that really explain it. Thank you 👍
So I just replaced this on my 2008 Mountaineer. It was the Dorman part as in video. Where it is shown the clamp didn't work, the hose is actually bigger that the old one. With the clamp that came with it, I could just slide the hose around. To use the old clamp, I had to bend(break off) the piece that stops it from opening to far. Nice and tight with the old clamp and no leaks so far.
Bro I need that same part for my 06 explorer. You got a part number? This one on mine keeps leaking
For my 2008 explorer the part # is 6L2Z 18C553 C. It should be the same for the 2007 too.
