I miss this version of the Bangles. When the four of them were together they are all so talented - they made it work. It just is not the same with her gone.
You steal my words. Without Micky Bangles not more the same. :( And I loved especially the songs who would Micky are the mainsinger. Hazy Shade of Winter, Following, Between in Two, September Gurls, Complicated Girl, Something to believe in, Glitter years or this song here.
Micki was, without question, the most experienced musically of the 4 of them. She also seemed to have a great sense of humor. That drew fans to herself. Along with being a great bass player, vocalist, & song-writer.
Michael is my inspiration for learning how to play bass at 47 yrs old. And Susanna is my inspiration for learning how to play guitar right now as well. Susanna & I are both the same hieght (5'1"). So, if she can play a Rickenbacker that's almost as tall as she is, then I can learn to play my Stratacaster. So I'm learning how to play 2 instruments at the same time currently. And I'm finding that I'm a better bass player, than guitar player. I've got 2 basses, a Sterling by Music Man SUB Ray 4 & a Sterling by Music Man Ray 4.
Micki is a goddess, that walks among us mere mortals. Talented, beyond belief, Beautiful and has a sense of humor. I could only pray that God will inpire her to release a solo album or patch things up with the others and go back. I miss her, and need her!
@@Taz90 I did not have a particular player in mind when I took up acoustic guitar about 1 1/2 years ago (I am now 66) But now I just love Chrissie Hynde on rhythm acoustic. I play Martins and Yamahas.
I was at this concert and have been to many concerts since... this is still in my top three. These ladies were good, and still are. Long Live the Bangles!
When I was a teenage girl in the 80s, in one of my TigerBeat type mags (lol) a writer described Michael Steel as "cool, calm and collected". I still remember those particular words. So apt.
@@marcotaboadabarco9957Someone responded on the Official The Bangles page. Michael Steele left the group to take care of ver personal life, others say she retired.
There are strange rumors and strange photos from 7 or 8 years ago. She may have changed her look and seemed younger and a bit masculine. She may have suffered from gender dysphoria and this would explain her deep depressive crises since the beginning of her career, her choice of a male stage name (Michael). I don't know how much of it is true
@Vincent Never? I don't think you were listening then. If you want to listen to her best work, Check out the Crash Wisdom stuff that has surfaced. Her by herself, Doing her own songs. That is the voice of a solitary Angel singing before the throne of God!

While Hoffs had/has a very special and unique voice that took them to the top. Michael was a very close second and the most under rated. The more I listen to her leads the more I love her sound.
Yes, Debbie Gibson was my fav back then! I wanted to be just like her. That woman has a lot of talent! And did at a very young age. Her hits didn't stand the test of time like the Bangles do though.
I agree and I have said it before it's to bad they split up it was those 4that mad that group so special and they will never get that back with the one band member missing and she won't be replace
Michael I Love you, You surly have a right to privacy but think of us your hard core fans. There are Bangles fans sure, but there are also YOUR fans! I had a dream about you, You showed up at one of their shows dressed in black leather, with your bass strung on your back, You walked in got on stage and went "I'm back Bitches" Make my dream real!
They were all great vocalists. One of the reasons that created tension when they broke up in 1989 was the insistance of the record label to portray Hoffs as the lead singer of the group. They were and are an ensemble. Their harmonies remind me of the Beach Boys, the Shirelles, and all the great 60s groups. But Susanna's voice was really unique, and with the harmonies of the rest, they made a formidable team. But they were an ensemble.
You are obviously smoking crack or are otherwise locked in a padded cell. Susanna is the gateway drug to the bangles. However, MICHEAL is a GODDESS. Micheal could sing rings around them all!
The Bangles are empty without Michael Steele. 😏😏😏
Michael was the glue that held Bangles together.
She was my favourite Bangle... Sexiest, and most sultry of voices.. Love her..

Dry sense of humor; typical of bassists.
Hard to believe this is nearly a quarter century ago. God bless these ladies, hope they are well, and thank you to them for playing.
Gosh she had a smooth, pleasing voice.

Es la única retirada oficialmente de Bangles
Es una làstima que ya no podamos disfrutar las actuaciones de Micki, saludos donde quiera que estes.
Una voz que me cautivó desde la primera vez que la escuché, por alla en el '85
Just love it
The drummer is my favorite bangle I had a crush on her back in the late 80s and early 90s her and Debbie Gibson
