Amazing food, beautifully and respectfully presented (and appreciated). You just got one more subscriber to your channel! Now, on to binge watching your other videos. 😋
Belem's restaurants are surprisingly more expensive than I expected. I appreciate Bahi's being chill and Mariana being slightly more critical about the food and prices. I remember trying the same jambu soup in Rio that you had, the numbing effect reminds me of eating fugu in Japan. I am happy to follow for more content.
Hi there, thank you so much for watching our video and we are glad you enjoyed it 😊 Yes indeed some of Belém’s restaurants were pricy compared to the other areas we have visited. I believe my reaction is because I just love Brazil and everything is new for me so I’m just having fun 😂😂😂 whereas Mariana (even though we lived for many years in Canada) when being in Brazil looks at things still as a local 😊 so your observation about our reactions was 100% accurate 😂😂 Yes trying the soup for the first time for me was a very interesting experience. We hope you enjoy the rest of our content. All the best 👍
It's expensive because they were in places for tourists, these places are always more expensive but they have excellent quality and service for those who have never tried it or been to Belém
Belém do Pará is recognized as an international gastronomic city due to its typical foods, colors, and flavors combined with cultural aspects, such as Pato no Tucupi, Maniçoba, and Vatapá, which are intrinsically linked to the Círio de Nazaré (the largest Catholic procession in the world, known as the 'Christmas of the people from Pará'). Additionally, these dishes are consumed daily as street food in the capital, such as hot Tacacá at 3:00 PM in 35-degree heat. The Caldeirada de Filhote is always a great choice, not to mention the Açaí and other exclusive Amazon fruits, which are well-represented in the city. We also have 'Unha de Caranguejo,' among others. Welcome back, as there is still much to discover.
Thank you so much for watching our videos, we are glad you are enjoying the content. Yes you are absolutely right about the prices, but when as a tourist we are in each place just for a short time and want to go to a place that has many dishes that we can show and is also safe to walk around and film and carry the equipment with us without worrying about the safety, for sure there is a price to pay 🤣🤣 Locals always know all of the hidden gems and a lot of places that may not be known by the tourists, for this you are absolutely right. All the best 😊🙏 Keep in touch 👍
Local people say that Ver o Açai Restaurant is the place to go and have local dishes. Also, at Cairu, you should have had Carimbó, since the other flavors you can find elsewhere.
Well maybe in Portuguese there is another word for it, but in English if you don’t call it soup, what do you call it then? It’s not a stew and it is not a main dish either!!
As promised, this is our video about food and restaurants in Belém do Pará. Let us know what you thought and what you would and would not eat ;)

@@clark2510yes that’s true and in general we have always had an excellent quality of food everywhere in Brazil.

TACACÁ NÃO É SOPA!
Obrigado pela informação 👍
Local people say that Ver o Açai Restaurant is the place to go and have local dishes. Also, at Cairu, you should have had Carimbó, since the other flavors you can find elsewhere.
Well we did go to Ver o Açaí! Yes maybe next time we are in Belém we will try other flavours at Cairu!
and tacacá is not a soup :P
