seconded, DW6 had this before. Frankly, it was a nice idea back then, but the execution was a bit off... first, the circle was a bit too tight, considering how mobile everyone can be when attacking, and that soldiers forming the circle, while not moving, become extremely aggressive and strike quite hard if their enemy comes too close Second, the thing with enemies getting their stats a "boss buff" - even if it was rewarded with a bigger XP item, defeating them could become a slog, especially if multiple officers were involved... and DW6 wasn't a game where you had a lot of leisure time before your allies started getting snowballed.
My biggest issue is the roster cut. producer saying they've dropped the roster down from the 90+ down to 9 playable companions. His reasoning that just continuously adding characters wasn't sustainable for the franchise and they wanted to go back and focus on the gameplay. I wonder if that means we will be getting them as DLC or something? There was an interview of him talking about it. The producer had worked on DW2->DW6 he drops his wisdom (partial part of the interview) "Of course, this decision was not made on a whim. Because since Dynasty Warriors 7, we have been designing the games with the goal of keep adding more characters. From 7 to 9, we have been adding characters non-stop. I think this approach is no longer sustainable in the current gaming industry environment. So the title Origins is also to hope that we can return to the starting point by working hard on game mechanics. I also read the feedback from players. Some people think that it is not a Dynasty Warriors game without so many playable characters, but I think that if we keep adding characters, the Warriors series won't last long, so this time we are determined to revamp the game-play system. In addition to the protagonist, there are 9 playable officers in this game, which is much less than the previous games. Some old players may give negative feedback such as "Tomohiko Sho, do you really know how to make a good game?", but I still think my design idea is correct." That being said, I'm still grabbing it day one. I think the combat becoming more in-depth and strategic is a massive boon, and even if I can't play my favorite officer (Gan-Ning, Zhou Tai.. Ma Chao please be added soon) I think I'm really going to enjoy this one anyways for different reasons.
By “playable”, these characters are actually more like summon skills rather than “playable” because you don’t play as them through a level, but only temporarily switch into them for some over level ouputs and switch back. So essentially like Final Fantasy summons.
yeah, dev said the companion is like "fever mode", swap to companion for limited time if condition met, that kinda worrying me, hopefully there will be free mode to play as official general. and I hope there will be character customize for the nameless hero
Mc cannot be customised, barely to never talks, only 9 summonable or temporarily swapable characters, lesser weapons with the same easy movesets from dw9, no miracle weapons, no caw. Damn this is not dw tbh but more like a spinoff that plays similarly to fate sam remnt
@zarithevill to be fair the movesets are not the same. They are so not the same that origins literally threw away any consistent combo standards. Every weapon in the game has its own underlying logic and combo chart like Monster Hunter.
I agree! The series needed a fresh take but I seriously hope they do add some DLC later on, to help with the engagement/ longevity of the series. Listening the long time fans is a great way to creat together! I like your ideas too.
I miss these aspects of DW games 1- Soldiers used to give me a challenge specially in hard difficulty (soldiers used to defeat you or another officer if he/ she was alone). They didn't give you a chance to recover your health. 2- Unique move sets for every single character. 3- Old voice actors from DW 5, 6, 7, 8. Moral system looks weak in Origins. you still can defeat thousands of soldiers easily except for officers.
According to interviews, the difficulty of these demos has been adjusted to be fairly easy. In the product version, the soldiers seem to have become more aggressive, making it difficult to break through alone.
@ I can assure you that it will never be similar to DW2 and DW3 soldiers ruthlessness lol. Look at the Ultimate Attack. It easily gives you 1000 K.O. I wish we get DW3 Remastered.
I'm really really considering getting this one Day 1. I liked all I've seen so far. Yeah, the shorter roster is dissapointing, but I liked Berserk and Warriors of Troy so I don't mind too much.
Not gonna lie, I really respect the director for not pandering to the core fanbase and still trying to revamp the franchise while being faithful. Especially after the disastrous DW9. The strategic part is interesting, the map looks insane, the NPCs seemed to be actually challenging while being fair. The gameplay is abit concerning for me though. While it's certainly not mindlessly button smash, I'm afraid it might be monotonous. Especially with alot less movesets and all the triangle spams. But if they could pull it off I think it's going to be the most revolutionary DW game thus far. Not gonna hold my breath though.
Did you see the gameplay in the Special Stage over on Playstation Japan for TGS? It was just done hours ago. They showed the allied battle against Yuan Shu then the dev did an honest attempt against lu bu
this is just a small nitpick but....... why the footsoldiers run almost as fast as the horses? lol, they move a little bit too fast it's kinda off putting
Nooo, my fav always getting the short end of the stick 😭 Why do we have to way for DLC to get his iconic claws? Also, they are toning down his fabulousness every game... DW6 was his peak, ngl
I don't want to say that this feels like they took what was best about all their other games and integrated it into this one, but it really does seem like Koei has learned from DW9, AND their time with the musou spinoff games (Hyrule Warriors/AoC, ,Fire Emblem Warriors, Persona 5 Strikers!!!, etc). I'm genuinely excited about this entry. I'm probably not as cautious as I should be, but I've enjoyed nearly every single warrior game to some extent while understanding the shortcomings. Modern Koei has been doing a lot that gives me hope, and the previews to origins... well, I'm happy to find a lack of disappointment.
12:49. Watching your an official officer run through the battlefield is awesome. Dynasty 8 Empires is my favorite. Sending people to dances or get together to lure them to your side and customizations to land and home and so much more. Great video man,it's finally time to some more ass in a new way.👍
I think there will be cloned movesets for now, they said before you could just pick any character you want and play so they made each moveset simple. By focusing on our nameless character they can take the time to polish up each movesets and make them feel unique. It's not realistic to just make 50 unique movesets at launch without any clones.
It's okay if you disagree with me but I'll say it as it is, I'm mixed about Origins. Let's start off with what I personally like: - I love the strategic aspect of the game, this means you can't just mindlessly charge in alone or you'll probably get rekt. - I love the aesthetic of the game, the revamped characters looks badass and the voice acting has significantly improved from DW9 imo. - The AI seems to be aggressive and challenging and not in an annoying way as far as I can tell. - The music is as amazing as ever. - The number of peons on screen is impressive and a spectacle to behold. - I love that they brought back the dueling system. Now to the things I personally don't like: - We can't create our own character, this is one of the biggest let down for me. - It seems as though we're stuck using the nameless hero and we could only swap to the 9 companions for a short duration. Unless they show us a Free Mode where we can use any characters we want, then we're probably stuck with the nameless hero and the 9 characters. From what I can remember from the showcase, the developer said something along the lines of "You can only control those 9 characters and only interact with the rest of the casts" (Feel free to fact check me on this) - The campaign stops at Chibi, I suspect they'll sell us the rest of the campaign and playable characters as DLC in the future which would suck. - I'm mixed on weapon swapping, on one hand I think it's cool that you can swap your weapons whenever you want but I'm afraid of cloned movesets from other characters. - Sorry DW9 fans, but I could not give a F about that game's combat. I was hoping for them to not bring back the combat of DW9. I really just want the combat to be similar to DW5 or 8 but without weapon swapping. I don't need QTE in a DW game. That's all I have to say for now, I was really excited until they showed me a bunch of changes and it didn't feel like your traditional DW game anymore. It would've been fine if they named this game something else other than Dynasty Warriors. But who knows? Maybe I'll change my mind when I actually get to play it because watching someone else play it is very different from playing it yourself. I just hope they'll work on DW10 after this and give us the old school DW experience back while implementing what people like about Origins to 10.
One of the things that has my curiosity, is the "unnamed protagonist" gonna be customizable and not just some locked base character design. Because I've always had a love for the create an officer feature and feel that it would be better if that "unnamed protagonist" is our custom character. But the scary part is as far as I know no ones spoke on such and haven't even shown a customization clip with sliders or anything.
From what i saw from video, there're 4 equipment slots allow to customize your character movement sets or skills ( should be the final blow 'Triangle' actions?) during weapon changing scene in 11:04. Meaning your character movement sets will be quite flexible
4 things I've seen from some reddit threads/interview translations (it's a bit of an "allegedly" so take that with a grain of salt): 1) You can choose your faction at about the half way point of the game. 2) The game apparently ends around Chi Bi 3) One full playthrough should take you about 20 hours plus and there are "multiple endings" (though I don't know wether that just means one ending for each faction or if there are hypotheticals) 4) In story mode there may only 10 playable characters (the protagonist and 3 officers per faction)
When i saw they brought back Bodyguards i was super excited missed them so much the Bodyguard system was awesome tho i hope you can upgrade them like before. I remember you only start with 1 body guard and they where a peasant warrior then you upgrade to 8 body guards and upgraded the type general guards.
Limited time officers, plus the MASSIVE cut in the cast is a big turn down for me, even though it looks really cool. Also, I don't like what they've been doing lately of leaning the franchise more and more towards realism... I want the characters casting lightning bolts, shooting lasers, creating pillars of fire, freezing the battlefield, sucking enemy soldiers into a tornado, that was so much fun, not just physical blows. I'll wait for a complete final edition to see where it goes...
I dont want to be able to sweep through soldiers like they are nothing and get 1000 KOs in 10 minutes. I want that old school DW 2-4 grit where I barely make it to the end of the stage with maybe around 500kos if Im lucky.
I’m really trying not to get swept up in the hype train but it’s just looking so cool. It feels so good being eager and excited for new dynasty warriors again. Stuff like dueling and the new tactics are all so cool. Also they did confirm in some extra screenshots shown that you will get to choose sides in the story and change some events. The image itself showed a couple officers from each of the 3 kingdoms so I can’t tell if they only mean you get to pick wei, wu, or shu or if it’ll go even further with choices and what ifs like joining the yellow turbans or Dong zhuo. A channel called playmaker has videos on some more stuff.
the Squad orders for Fire arrow attack and Cavalry charge strategy are probably going to be the most used Unit strategy skills for tactical advantages. using Fire arrow attack before engaging a enemy will be useful to weaken them before charging in and the Cavalry charge looks great for disrupting enemies when they are in large numbers.
The True Musou Attack is actually called the Musou Kakusei/Unmatched Awakening. The same R3 state from DW5 and 8. This is COMPLETELY separate of the classic True Musou Attack AKA Shin Musou Ranbu/True Unmatched Wild Dance. Ultimate Musou Attack is Zetsu Musou Ranbu/Suppressing Unmatched Wild Dance. Extreme Musou Attack is Geki Musou Ranbu/Raging Unmatched Wild Dance, which is the official JP name for the Double Musou Attack across the series.
Technically no. DW:O presentation-wise is more RPG than ever with a more consistent narrative. It’s similar to an IP warriors-like rather than the traditional arcade warrior. Therefore you get an “MC” in an warriors game.
I hope it's honestly looking like dynasty warriors is back hate to jinx it though only problem floating in the back of my mind is how many movesets will be available hopefully alot and will we be able to play the original characters freely in other modes will they'll be other modes ? Stuff like that
Good to know I'm not the only koei warriors game freak out there. I've played every single one all the way back to 1. I even played all the spin offs, like hyrule warriors, Berserk, Gundam etc. It doesn't matter what they do with this, I'm buying it and losing sleep either way
There’s plenty that looks great but there’s also a lot of concerns. Especially when it comes to characters and move sets. I’m fine with them giving a more detailed look at less eras and continuing the history through sequels but I’d still like new characters introduced and more of the old being playable if there in that era (not just fancy looking npcs). Alittle worried about the aging of characters as they seem to have picked certain characters to do that with but not others. Also I think this could make Warriors Orochi sequels more relevant if they allow all newly adapted characters from origins and also allow those adapted to the possible sequels and future SW to allow you to play with them all no matter the era.
There’s a lot of good stuff here. Battles actually look like battles, great formations, tactical decisions need to be made. Combat is fluid and you definitely feel powerful. While Musous look powerful the flair is gone since it’s just 1 massive attack. SSX gives me some hope that musous will still have personality in them. A few grips, being ball and chained to some dude when all of your faves share the stage with him sucks. It looks like they are implementing the fate summon system with OCs where you can only play with them for a limited time. I hope the MC is customizable or interesting if we are locked in with him
I’m surprised they haven’t, but the key takeaway from there is that the costume changes or the lack of are aesethic. Sun Ce, like Zhang He, got a whole new outfit, with neither being companions. Force leaders not being companions and no unique move set so far is sure interesting. But when Huang Gai plays, he did end his musou with a wrestling move as per, which I don’t think our boi used in the Guandu showcase, so I’d like to think there’s some difference. Not to mention the boi’s podao musou and Dun’s are different looking I think? They managed to make the Yuan Shu campaign look remotely interesting with whatever he’s doing with the seal! At this point it might just be a magical artefact
To be honest I'm just interested in seeing what other game modes they will have, xtreme mode?, Dynasty mode?, maybe a Rampage mode?, maybe even multiplayer? It's all so good looking and id hate for it to not have a good mode to back it all up like last time. I'd be completely fine with a classic xtreme roguelike mode and I'll hold my breath for it but, its always one last chance I give this franchise. Also, Guan Ping Buster sword gang
There has to be a free mode where you can play as any officer you want, otherwise this is going to be a one step forward two steps back situation. Also it seems they have a anti Yuan Shu coalition video out but only in Japanese.
I'm skeptical, but also excited, which is something. I'm still going to wait a few days after release to see what it is really about, but seeing that they put some actual ambition in this is hopeful.
assassination is 1 to 1. Not for large army like musou game.. They would need to enhance the system to keep track & trace the awareness of thousand NPC soldiers (what will soldier do after assassination failed?). Wasting system resource, nearly impossible....
Lu Bu in DW3: *sees hordes of majors, sergeants and privates* Ahh finally. You might actually provide me with a challenge. Lu Bu now: *sees peons* Wtf is this?
The producer said that the demos they put on TGS were all set to the easiest difficulty, including the battle with Lu Bu, because he said he didn't want players to queue up for hours just to be beaten. Also according to the video they posted on X, friendly NPCs will parry enemy attacks. So I don’t think we need to worry too much about AI.
I really do hope the R2 button isn't like Dynasty Warriors 9 with how all you did was Spam it to Clear out enemies hopefully it has a recharge time or its only does low damage but will do throw on an officer or Guard Break them.
I hear the game only goes to the battle of chibi so the only thing that makes sense if a thick layer of what if directions. Assuming the game has content
A lot of the systems sound interesting, but this is sounding distinctly not Dynasty Warriors. I enjoy the "not-Warriors" RPGs like Samurai Remnant, but I don't want to mean we don't get traditional warriors titles again. Probably a heavy miss for me.
I love everything about this game but I won’t accept the dupe weapons and dupe costumes it makes no sense, we always get more costumes for every character in every release
Day 1 purchase for me easily. We've played dozens of musou games with the same pattern and its getting old. This is something new and fresh and Im perfectly ok with all the draw backs like very few playable characters in the roster. Everything I've seen so far just looks perfect and everything I ever wanted in a DW game. The biggest being enemy officers actually fight back and dont just sit there blocking all day until they die.
Amazing video! You know your dynasty warriors. I got one question you didn't touch on that I am worried about. What about the frame rate? New Gen games especially of this caliber must have frame rate doubts. Something that also worries me is that it's ps5 pro enhanced...... what are your thoughts on this?
@manbenitez247 yes u can. Ur a nameless hero. Anytime that say that. U can make a cac. They did it wo long fallen dynasty as well. U was called a nameless hero
I want the OG VA's back. :( I miss Douglas Rye as Cao Cao. Cao Cao needs to get his facial hair back though at somepoint in the story. Guan Du and he still doesn't have it.
Our Main Hero and 9 in battle using Heros, oh i will miss use all, specialy when i see all. Maybe is were nice to give us the chance to create us a Main Hero and give him/her a way. After know this game here, i ask myself is this the last time, we play in this time, Maybe next game we are in the time between 900 - 1000.

@@anthonyv1014 sorry forgot to add “so far” they might get featured since the game will be up to Chibi and these three characters have role around that time.
It's so awesome that the duelling system from DW4 is back and it looks even better as you can see troops and officers watching you fight in the duel.
Yep! Makes more sense than waiting for soldiers to build a "Hell in a Cell" cage for a smackdown match in a middle of the battlefield
It's not like 4 at all it's like 6

I dont want to be able to sweep through soldiers like they are nothing and get 1000 KOs in 10 minutes. I want that old school DW 2-4 grit where I barely make it to the end of the stage with maybe around 500kos if Im lucky.
I really like your videos, you point out all of my positive thoughts and concerns based on current footages.
As a DW FAN since 3, to me its looking like a "Samurai Warriors 5" if anybody played that one. Only it was made for the next gen consoles IMO
Now this is a game I would pre order !!! Long time dynasty warriors fan
I made the mistake of eating and watching your content and nearly choked on my pork chop when Dong Zhou came in- LMAO
Love your reviews
Dynasty Warriors 10 is gonna be FIRE 🔥🔥🔥
A modern Warriors of Troy with this engine would be amazing
The duelling is back from DW6 it looks so good
All I hope for is we get a enormous roster! If we do, hopefully we see the majority of them aged up. If not, then we'll have to wait until DW10
For the weapons idea, if they did like a bond system with the characters, we can earn the weapons for the nameless hero of each original character.
Given the title, my only concern is if this will go the Wo Long route where they will have only until the creation of the 3 kingdoms
Not even that, the game ends at Chi Bi
Will this have coop
good breakdown champ, hope the game turns out good
The True Musou Attack is actually called the Musou Kakusei/Unmatched Awakening.
I think DW Origins will be what DW9 should have been.
(At least I think so)
Technically no.
Stuff like that
@@thatpersoneveryoneknowsbut7533 you mean like DW 6
@WaifuAkenoHimejima what part you referring to specifically?
Courage System sounds eerily familiar. Warriors All-Stars used to have something similar with Bravery.
I mean imagine if they focused deeper into Cao Cao and Yuan Shao. Added Yan Liang and Wen Chou
Gao Shun and other Lu Bu Loyalists too. They deserve a bit of a spotlight atleast
The mix of Empires stuff looks very cool 🔥
There’s a lot of good stuff here. Battles actually look like battles, great formations, tactical decisions need to be made. Combat is fluid and you definitely feel powerful. While Musous look powerful the flair is gone since it’s just 1 massive attack. SSX gives me some hope that musous will still have personality in them.
A few grips, being ball and chained to some dude when all of your faves share the stage with him sucks. It looks like they are implementing the fate summon system with OCs where you can only play with them for a limited time.
I hope the MC is customizable or interesting if we are locked in with him
Morale Has Increased
All Forces Forward
Nice! was waiting for this. I can't wait to kick some A in this game.
Did they finally bring back the old map style for battles. It makes each battle unique instead of one open space
I’m sure someone has mentioned the PlayStation panel with the Yuan Shu battle
Thanks for the info that’s super handy to know
Man when will they make a dark dynasty warriors? I want to see heads rolling and body parts flying everywhere! This dynasty warriors look just like 9
it is a dream to have dynasty game mixed with mount&blade and kingdom underfire
be a bad ass capt while building upgrading an army castle and kingdom
hot take: i really loved when they added more characters to the roster in each installment..
I’m highly convinced that the protagonist is a very young g Xu Shu
There has to be a free mode where you can play as any officer you want, otherwise this is going to be a one step forward two steps back situation. Also it seems they have a anti Yuan Shu coalition video out but only in Japanese.
Imagine if you could play as an invader and come in as a unique character or as one of the enemy generals
Will this release on pc?
Yes
@@justincontreras3046 yes🔥
Verge of despair is my jam
I'm skeptical, but also excited, which is something. I'm still going to wait a few days after release to see what it is really about, but seeing that they put some actual ambition in this is hopeful.
Man i still don't get used to see Cao Cao without moustache though ;D
It would be nice if they could like an assassination feature if jumping from above like it they have in Wo long!
assassination is 1 to 1.
Not for large army like musou game..
They would need to enhance the system to keep track & trace the awareness of thousand NPC soldiers (what will soldier do after assassination failed?). Wasting system resource, nearly impossible....
LMAO the first picture is crazy
do you think im going to buy a dynasty warriors game to play as a nameless protagonist?
i kinda want it like exstream legends where it had multiple different game modes and a campaign for every character also i want bodyguards back 😭
xtreme*
Please get rid of the peons and bring back real soldiers from DW3.
Where they block and have more than one attack and had better AI all together.
This is what gamefly was made for. Times like this
I really do hope the R2 button isn't like Dynasty Warriors 9 with how all you did was Spam it to Clear out enemies hopefully it has a recharge time or its only does low damage but will do throw on an officer or Guard Break them.
I hear the game only goes to the battle of chibi so the only thing that makes sense if a thick layer of what if directions. Assuming the game has content
Love that DW4 BGM!!!!
Leaping of soldiers looks fun
Xu Shu looks like Gorlock the destroyer
I still hate that a few swings can take out hundreds of soldiers, I missed the old games where your moves mattered
If this game succeeds then we may get dynasty warriors 10.
Is there coop online
That line sounds more like Cao Cao's ideology.
What's the song playing at 5:00 ? I've been searching for it since forever but couldn't find it
Pretty sure it is from DW5. Though it might be DW4.
The wall of fate from DW4
@@planescaped I've actually been listening to the OSTs of both for the past two weeks but couldn't catch that particular soundtrack haha
It's DW4's Hulao Gate I think
@@neutralggesports The DW5 song I was thinking of was Condensed, I am fairly certain it is from DW4 though.
Im getting it regardless, i got 9 but I ended up barely playing it, i want to try this
What's the song used in the beggining the guitar was tough!
Its the losing song in DW4 i forget the name
Dw4 the verge of despair
bro have never played or lost in dw 4
I wished it was good as NIGHTY NINE NIGHTS on Xbox
you didnt go wrong with the beginning Song
Still want to know about character customization..
A lot of the systems sound interesting, but this is sounding distinctly not Dynasty Warriors. I enjoy the "not-Warriors" RPGs like Samurai Remnant, but I don't want to mean we don't get traditional warriors titles again.
Probably a heavy miss for me.
🤓- Probably a miss for me. Not a “traditional warriors title”.
God it’s nerds like you that ruin good things.
Hoping Zuo Ci makes a return
i want to like it but 9 really killed my hype for this franchise, still havent beaten it with every character
This is way better than 9 so I’ll take it.
I didn't play dw 9 apart from a demo.. anyone find the fighting system better in previous games?
Amazing video! You know your dynasty warriors. I got one question you didn't touch on that I am worried about. What about the frame rate? New Gen games especially of this caliber must have frame rate doubts. Something that also worries me is that it's ps5 pro enhanced...... what are your thoughts on this?
where find original meme image?
Shame there's no create a character for the main protagonist. That's a huge let down but looks good nevertheless.
@manbenitez247 yes u can. Ur a nameless hero. Anytime that say that. U can make a cac. They did it wo long fallen dynasty as well. U was called a nameless hero
Are you sure about that? cause I don’t want to buy the game if that’s true.
@getikiakusomai2566 you can give him weapons etc, not the looks the look will be stapled in
@@hithere2776100%
@@manbenitez247 thanks man not gonna buy.
I want the OG VA's back. :( I miss Douglas Rye as Cao Cao. Cao Cao needs to get his facial hair back though at somepoint in the story. Guan Du and he still doesn't have it.
Seems like the famous officers that are playable have unique move sets compared to the mc just an observation.
For me Jin ain't in DW: Origins 10:12 cause the Logo from Origin Just Show "Three", Kingdom Logos/Animals.
Because the game start from The Yellow Turban Rebellion to the Battle of Chibi
Our Main Hero and 9 in battle using Heros, oh i will miss use all, specialy when i see all. Maybe is were nice to give us the chance to create us a Main Hero and give him/her a way. After know this game here, i ask myself is this the last time, we play in this time, Maybe next game we are in the time between 900 - 1000.
My only gripe is. Will it run like shit just as the DW9?
define shit ?
@@odiagam5755 Theres not a single time i booted DW9 and didnt get stutters, fps fluctuation, slow downs. All that while my GPU is literally taking a nap because KT cant program for PC even if their life depended on it.
probably not, this one gives a lot of real gameplay which the 9 never show you
I've wondered the samething. Koei is absolutely awful when it comes to porting their warriors game onto PC.
Lets go Shu forces
Well the game is not out yet. But im getting it
DW 5 is still the best So far. Not Gonna lie but it is wat it is. Still planying it now. Just learned alot New things. HAAAH
Was that female officer you mentioned Zhen Ji? Also my concern is like yours. I dont want to be tied to this nameless soldier. I also hope and pray they bring back the OG girls. I love Zhen Ji, Xiao Qiao, Da Qiao ❤
The only female characters that are featured in this game are Diaochan and Sun shangxiang.
@Ishallreignsupreme well I guess I'll be skipping this game as well 🤷 🙃
@@anthonyv1014 sorry forgot to add “so far” they might get featured since the game will be up to Chibi and these three characters have role around that time.
@@Ishallreignsupreme omg they aren't doing the whole story like normal?

I'm waiting for the empires version
