Fishing in the Dark Again, I Must Be Using the Wrong Bait?

- Hello Ladies & Gentlemen and as always, thank you for watching. Today, tonight, this morning, whatever it may be, Mike, Ethan, and I do a little night fishing with the Rotator. Somewhere lurking in the woods, way off the roadway, the is an overturned car begging to be caught. When I arrive in our Peterbilt 389X with a Miller Industries, Century 1150R rotator towing and recovery vehicle, I can't even see the woods much less the fish, I mean, car. While Mike and Ethan "bait the hook", I get the Rotator ready to reel in our catch. Will it be worth our effort or will it be too small and we have to throw it back? Watch and see.... Also, check out Ethan's cool Cowboy style hard hat!!! He saw the hat and just had to have it. If you knew Ethan, you would know why this hat suits him so well. And, for those of you who may be asking "WHY DID WE USE THE ROTATOR FOR THIS JOB?", the answer is simple, it is the piece of equipment that the authorities requested, so that's what I brought. I'm "catching up" on some of my videos that I've been holding while working on the ECJV Eaton Cummins project. Thanks for you patience! I hope you all enjoy this video!!! Thanks for watching and God bless!!!

My common analogy, "there are many ways to reach 10". I could have approached this (any) job several different ways. The approach method is important, but more important is achieving the desired result, safely.
Again, a very special thank you to all my viewers, family, and friends who having taken the time to show their support. May God bless and protect you all!!!

Man, I’m not a trucker but I really do appreciate your business, because truckers run this world. You help out a lot more people and businesses than you realize.
This one was pretty cool! From Ethan's hat being too small, to the camera angle making the light stand look like it was bent over like a fishing pole with a fish on, to you having complete faith in your men having your eyes, an awesome video with no one being seriously hurt.
Nice to have people you can trust to send down the rabbit hole and hook things up the correct way. Good job as always. It's been a pleasure to watch your channel and business grow over time. Keep up the good work.
am i the only one that enjoys the sound the trees and bushes make when you winch a car through em? it's oddly satisfying
..you need a bigger boat...lol..good catch and keep safe,,,
He probably couldn't have rowed a bigger boat down that creek lol!
What impresses me is that no matter who's helping you Ron, they are willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done and they have such a wonderful positive attitude. It's so fantastic to see. The direction that they get from you and your dad is pretty amazing!
Great for Ron that the police requested the rotator, but requesting a 50 ton wrecker for a Mini Cooper seems like wacking a bug with s sledge hammer. The rotator looks awesome at night.
Hope everyone is ok prayers and well wishes for all involved and prayers for your family and all of your employees have a blessed weekend Mr Ron
Mike once again proves he is invaluable😊
Damn, the rotator always looks cool at night. Glad nobody was hurt
Don't ya Love trucks that just LIGHT UP like Christmas trees?? 😁🤗😎😏😍👍😋. 🤑🤑
Indeed.
you could easyly gost a raveparty with those lights ;)
@@extremchiller410 ?? 🤔🙄
Good morning Ron and Crew!!! Another great job. Y’all are a cohesive team, no wasted moves or time. I’m so amazed that you can make a tricky spot look like a cakewalk.
May God bless and keep y’all safe. Keep up the good work!!!!
That's just great to have a blown fuse for the tool box light 😡🤬😫😳
😂 at the “too small…need to throw it back” that was funny. Great job as always brother! 💪💪💪💪
WOW AND MORE WOW. Good job done by Ron and the boys. Wonderfull that no one was hurt.
Runs with Ron are always fun.
Video starting at 11pm uploaded at 10pm, excellent job setting the right mood.
Fri lunch, best videos from Ron to watch for my enjoyment
Could you put floodlights out on the end of the boom? Seems like it would be really useful on jobs like this one
Where im at they are required on the boom and booms over set length also must have a flashing red light to warm possible aircraft
I think hes got some
@@southaussiegarbo2054 .. LoL, where you are they have aircraft flying below tree level?
That's hilarious kiddo.
there is one on the boom... at the end of the fixed section, not the 2 parts which extend, though. One on the farthest would work well for this sort of extraction, but not sure there is room with all the rings.
I hope yoy are talking about construction crane booms.
If you have aircraft in your area flying low enough to hit a rotator, move.
Great job Ron and crew. I think this is the only video you didn't show the rigging process. Just glad it didn't turn into a "Murphys" law process !! God bless, stay safe.
Fishing for bluegills with a deep sea fishing rod. 😂 Really enjoyed stopping by and meeting you and your son.
Mike is a valued worker that you do not have to visually check his work. Good experience for Ethan. One of a very few times you didn't walk down to check the vehicle. It looked a bit steep.
Wow that driver sure was lucky! So glad he didn't get hurt. I love Ethan's hard hat, it is so cool. I couldn't help laughing when Mike and Ethan swung on the cable. God Bless you and your family and crew, hope everything is well with y'all
Thanks for sharing this video Ron. Sorry about your lights, batteries and fuses. I guess reality displays all the wrinkles, flaws and opportunities for improvement. Ethan has an interesting hard hat. Wishing you, your family and team a great week, gentle weather and restful evenings. Peace brother
That cowboy hard hat is classic 👌
Good morning Ron & crew! Hope everyone stays safe & hydrated out there.
And Ron said "Let the be light." And Ron said, "I still don't see the car!" 😄
Just enjoy watching how you get vehicle back on the road no mater the situation , Great job you all do , Your Dad would be very proud R.I.P Daddy Pratt. Your Son is so Wonderful Man
Nice!!! Be careful stay safe God bless
Mike Ron and Ethan to the rescue. Good job guys!
ron and your crew thanks for all the hard work you do
You’re gonna need a bigger rotator🤣
Was the entire county there? Everyone just hanging out to see Ron work. They called for the rotator because it's fun to watch.
These are the type of videos that keep me going on making UA-cam videos ! Much respect to ur vids 👍🏼🚨
I love watching Mike,Talon and Kenny. The are the best
The good old Mini. I remember back in the 1970s, when fuel was going up. This is in the UK. Me and my hubby bought one as it was great on fuel consumption. Normally, we keep a car for at least two years, never less. Anyway, after six months, my hubby part-ex'd it as he was 6ft. 2", and his knees were under his chin when he drove it🤣. I was ok, being 5ft 0"🤣🤣. The old minis were the cars in the original "The Italian Job" with Michael Caine. Lovely to see Mike. Not seen him for a while🤣. You both work very well together
Great video. Awesome to see Ethan working with you and Mike.
Glad nobody was hurt. Those little minis are tough cars (small but strong).
Always keeping you, your family, and crew in my prayers. Stay safe, stay healthy, and god bless.
Than you Ron for another video. It is always great to see you and the rotator. Prayers for you and your family also for all your employees.
Fishen for large mouth bass and caught a baby bluegill LOL!!!!!!! Keep rockin Ron!!!!
Ron thanks for all videos. God bless you and all the family from home and work
Rotators are cool.
Hope all involved are ok. Ron, you guys had a good sized audience there. It's a great day when Ron and Mikey are on site. Then you know things are about to get real when Ron says ah-ight!!
Awesome , Thanks Ron & Crew 😀
Ron, you have a great team with Mike and Ethan. Another great job done well.
Always glad to see you guys pull off tough jobs safely.
Thanks for sharing
I'm sure you'll hook a bigger fish soon!
Tell all your employees great job and keep up the good work. They need that encouragement from the boss every now and again and I'm sure you're a great boss to work for. I'd take vacation time to come work for you for a day or two... for free.
As Always, stay safe out there.
Thank you. I haven’t seen anything new from you in a long time. But that could be my problem. I so did enjoy this again. You are so great at narrating and so I do get a few chuckles. Thank you for your time.
I love your vids and content! Keep up the great work!! Love the channel!!
Nice job Ron to you and the crew!! 🤟🤟
Kids today.
Hardhats shaped like cowboy hats .
In my day ,we didn't have these fancy hard hats. And we had to walk to the accident scene. In the snow.
And we didnt have rotators, we pulled them up by hand.
Wow, thanks for the ride along, night time adventures are added fun, safe travels thumbs up, you are the the guy
Ron, from all of the fishing in the dark that you do with their tater you should incorporate the Nitty Gritty Dirt Bands song fishing in the dark into your videos I think that would actually fit and go well😂
You guys, made this,Look easy. Glad to hear, nobody got hurt. Detroit Loves you guys!!! G
I like watching your videos and the things that you all go through it’s very interesting, because I was also a tow truck driver for 9 years and enjoyed it so keep up the good work and also I am sending prayers and thoughts to you all for what you are going through I’m an Army veteran and live in Muskegon, Michigan
Mike is a top notch tow operator. You two work well together
#wherestalon
Good job......good thing you have Mike......nuff said on that.
Good Morning My Good Bro Mr Ron Pratt Sir
Your right he was a lucky driver! Good job fishing it out of the trees!
Another job professionally done because it was done by a professional crew👍 love Ethan's hard hat
Great work Ron,stay safe out there…
Hey Ron! Thank you for the content and the hard work! Also have you ever considered getting Led headlights for Tator?
I was thinking exactly the same thing. Those halogen bulbs looked very dim.
Are LED headlights permitted in the USA? It took them long enough to allow something other than sealed beam units......
@@Penster-Elle Also, be aware the camera can make things seem darker than they actually are, in part due to the settings the GoPro sets to, and also due to the lack of dynamic range due in part to the compression used for YT. In actuality, it's not as dim as you see in real life.
Those lights are the worst thing for a big rig rotator
Drive leds in adverse conditions... i.e. heavy fog/snow in some places even smoke... but leds reflect in the conditions, halogens might not be as bright but they definitely shine through the weather way better! On clear conditions? Yeah led is the way to go! But in the adverse conditions? Halogens all the way!!
Been following you for sometime now and really enjoyed this episode, glad to see you putting the youngens to work. Also it’s really refreshing to see how you genuinely care for others especially the older women asking if she can pass through.
You are a professional and still compassionate to the point of following up after you were able to assess the situation and confer will the men on seen .
Great job and wholeheartedly look forward to every episode that you guys put out great job.
Thank you
Is wholeheartedly a word lol you know what I mean
I think it is a word
Thank goodness the driver was protected by the Hand of God and was able to walk away unscathed. Another fine job and video, they are always so interesting. You, your family and crew are in my prayers nightly. God bless, stay safe and much Luv from Virginia.
Another perfect job! Keep up the good work and stay safe.
The county needs to restripe the edges of that blacktop road. Never much fun driving unfamiliar back roads in the dark when the striping is missing.
Great job by the Midwest Truck team as always.
I love these videos, watching from the UK, I’ve watched a lot of your videos, keeps me occupied. Stay safe guys 👍👍
Great job, Ron, Mike and Ethan. It’s nice to see a UK made car for a change. Expecting the worst, I was amazed how little damage the car appeared to have suffered considering where it ended up and of course, the driver was VERY lucky. Best Wishes and Stay safe.
Yes,it’s true that the Mini brand is owned by BMW, but they are built in Longbridge UK. The Mini that Ron recovered was quite an old model .
Always look forward to your videos
Think you Ron for the video once again
Oh my goodness I thought the whole time why isn’t Ethen wearing his hard hat. Why is he wearing that cowboy hat. When low and behold the darn thing is a hard hat😂😂😂 jokes on me.
Thanks for uploading this, hope you are doing ok and healing well. Have a great day
Nice recovery and glad no one were hurt.
"You and me, goin' fishin' in the dark..." :)
Good video Ron you are right it was a little small lol, anyway you and your family and the Midwest Crew have a wonderful and safe weekend stay cool and hydrated
And another fine job by Ethan, Mike and Ron
Thank you for another great video.
Greetings Ron, just curious, have you thought about getting LED Headlights for your Peterbilt?? Looks like you don't have very much lighting on your headlights going down that road....... Another thing, hopefully you and your family are safe. There was a story on the national news about Missouri due to all the flooding in the state.. Keep up the great work for your community!!!
The camera makes it look darker than it really is.
That's the camera ... gopros are bad in low light ..
Hooked a small one but it will be a good one for the pond. Great vid .God bless the Pratt family be safe stay well until next time we go fishing.
Another great job Ron.
Thank you for your time and talent! Smooth removal with no hiccups.
Hello Ron You and your crew did a great job again God bless ya'll
Wow, that car was a LONG way down there. The guys look like ants down there. Really like Ethan's new hard hat. That little car did a good job protecting that driver.
Hi all good to see you keep up the good work Ron god bless
Hello Ron. I'm wondering where Ethan got his cowboy hard hat? I would like to get a couple of them. Great footage Ron. That little car went hiding in the bush. I said to myself that I hope there is no wildlife to great them lol 😂, then you said it. Have a great day my friend ❤🙂.
Thank you sir. That one was a bit small, shoulda thrown it back, let it get a bit bigger. LOL.
Seriously though, the service you provide to your community is amazing. Thank you from a guy way up in Montana. God bless.
After you set up the DeWalt worklights, I said to myself, "I still don't see the car" and you flashed that message in text on the scene! What a difference having lights in your storage compartments make. So many years of seeing those friendly lights, I can see the challenge of NOT having them working. Then one of your DeWalt's went dark. Oh well, at least it wasn't raining with power liges overhead! Stay safe.
Hope you are doing fine with all the rain your area got.
st louis is 120 miles north
They said the driver was not seriously injured only minor & probably in serious need of a clean pair of pants 😁
Good Morning Awesome video as always. Thanks for sharing and stay safe
Enjoy your videos !!!! Keep up the good work
Looks like the Rotator needs a little downtime for some TLC... He's workin too hard!!
You're right. It's too small. Throw it back.
I went up a road like that once. In WVA.
It was to a job site on the side of a MTN. I had an escort front and rear. And it was only a 45 ft ex McLane reefer tool trailer.
My wife has a Mini Cooper. WE LOVE IT!!!
I drive it to work about 25 miles each way. Everyone is amazed I fit. I'm 6'2"and 360lb. She lets me cause it's 34 mpg. I could drive my 1/2 ton Chevy but it's about 17 mpg.
Ron, it looks like the mini cooper, is hiding in jungle camo!!! Nice to hear/see the driver wasn't hurt too badly, just minor injuries!!! Be careful about the arc nemesis/overhead lines, I know that you guy's will as always!!!! Much love guys keep up the good work!!!!!! Stay safe in whatever you do on a daily basis!!!!!!! God bless you and your family/team!!!!!!! Your friend Bob Compton from maryland. Looks like there NEEDS to be more guardrails put up in the areas with steep drop off areas of the state!!!!!!!!
You know Ron I have worked like that before because my first responder in Texas but retired now but your stories should have made me feel good because sometimes I miss the work that I used to do and it was pretty fun thank you
Like always great video. you made it look so easy lol. i know it was not. be safe out there and God bless.
wow; couldn't even see that, it's a minnow! great job guys.
I enjoy your video they are awesome to watch, I like / love Ethan hard hat. My prayers are with you, your family & your working family stay safe ! 🙏❤🙏❤🙏❤
Enjoyed watching the video Ron 😊😊
Always interested in seeing how you approach these jobs. Curious as I am from NZ why the urgency to do a recovery like this at night when it would be so much safer in the daylight?
Maybe just cause roads are quieter
#safetyfirst
I was thinking the same thing. Not blocking traffic, no waterway to risk contamination. Leave it until dawn.
Troopers want it out ASAP.
When the authorities (police, sheriff etc) call Ron he needs to do the job.
There have been jobs where Ron made the call to come back later as the recovery was too dangerous due to fog or ice, but that was in consultation with authorities.
Always like your videos. Been a while since I had time to watch one. Looks like Ethan Shed some pounds, he looks good. Glad he's still working with you. Family businesses are the best. Thats why my son works with me. For him I think it's more the green stuff, but I like teaching him what I know. Keep em coming
