No one who’s buys this car wants the trendiest tech. They want a luxury car that lasts forever. He would understand if he was actually the demographic who buys this car,
I prefer cars with old nameplates. It means they’ve refined them instead of giving and just starting over. Look at Chevy always changing there small car: cavalier then cobalt then Cruz, all crappy cars. Now look at Honda and Toyota. Civic and corolla = great cars that last a long time. I am sick of them trend “let’s make a car for 9 years then replace it with something more hip and exciting”. Cars are the second largest investment people make, they don’t want pieces of crap.
Jimmy C that too is unfortunate. Toyota knows how to make strong engines. The 5.0 V8 would be good for like a GS500 to go against the M550i and E53 AMG. Lexus really needs to roll out a twin turbo V8 for F (not sport) series if they want a prayer at competing with the M5 and E63s. They have the know-how, just not the will
That's where the profits are and that's where the market is shifting towards. Can't fight the market trying to be competitive. Stay with what's hot with the market and your company stays afloat. All in all I hate crossovers. Wish the fad would end.
I own a is350 F sport 2007. Car is a beast, plenty of power. I do not need anything else. No issues whatsoever. Lexus makes the most reliable luxury cars out there period
I have heard naysayers for years saying this model will be discontinued, but it is still here. I have a GS F V8 model and love it, best car I have ever owned. Lexus keep the GS alive !
The entire GS lineup is so underpowered in comparison to the competition! An expensive, top of the line, flagship, performance GS F has less than 470 horsepower and a 380 torque rating! Sheesh.
@@JCizzleSoCal So what? It is a much better daily driver, we do not drive on a track. I have had Audis and Mercedes but the ownership experience of the Lexus is superior, as is the quality and less maintenance costs.
@@JCizzleSoCal Yes cause you always need 470hp to get around. You dudes and spec sheet figures are a joke. My ISF makes way less than the GSF and NEVER have I felt like I needed more power to get around and not even on the track. Still haven't seen the tail lights of any Merc, BMW, or Audi out there. Not to mention the fact that my ISF is now 11 years old with 155k miles and still puts cars on the track to shame today. The VLN Nurburgring race car makes as much power as the GSF and ironically enough is competitive against 911 GT3's. So why the obsession with more HP?
@d1sturb3d First off, a person doesn’t typically spend $90K+ on a top of the line mid/full-size performance sedan from a carmaker not looking at the HP, Torque and other specs especially since these cars are so BIG and HEAVY. If the specs weren’t important then I’m sure a GS350 F-Sport would’ve been more than sufficient to “get around” right? As for your ISF, it’s a beast and was just as fast or had better performance specs (including HP) than some similar generation, smaller, performance sedans from Germany....M3, C63, RS4. I’m fairly certain you knew what you were buying and the type of high performance your ISF had when you purchased it. Or you could’ve just purchased an IS350 to get around in. The VLN Nurburgring and other track cars obviously do well because of the suspension setups, tires and much lower weight. You can’t compare a big, bloated, heavy sedan to a track car. Hahaha.
@@JCizzleSoCal I picked it up because I valued reliability above all else. Power is a factor however it is not THE factor. Anyone buying Lexus typically understand's the buying decision. I bought the ISF cause it's reliable handles well and was special compared to the IS350. Plus V8's are a dying breed. The chief engineers on the project have openly stated that lap times were not part of the development methodology. Toyota keeps the same power plant for an extended time given the cost of R&D and tooling unlike Merc, Audi and BMW that develop their cars with the intent of being on the cutting edge. Fact is much like the Type R the car punches above its weight class. I see what you're saying when it comes to a buyer's thought process, however I can wholeheartedly say those performance numbers seldom pan out to a faster car especially on track. The VLN ISF loses only 700lbs and is competitive against 911's. Even the tire specs are close to that of the street car. You call them heavy and bloated by the GSF Is the lightest in its class with the CTSV coming in a close second. All in all for driving engagement, living with the car and driving it all season as I do, Toyota did go the right direction IMHO. Its not track inclined to the point of being uncomfortable and doesn't make mad HP that ends up just smoking the rear tires all the time. Suffice to say even next to the CTSV I've seen them smoke their tires more often at the track than actually setting a quick time. To each their own I suppose.
I absolutely love this car (looks great in silver paint with those rims), but at this price point you are open to so many more choices. Reliability and resale value will certainly play a factor here though.
As an owner, all it needs is an update in tech (infotainment!) and interior to make it competitive to its competition. As far as exterior is concerned, just more updates as well. The average buyer can't tell the difference between the GS and ES.
Those triple beam headlights you have on your 19 gs is very rare! lexus should have made it standard for the gs. They look way better than the standard headlights.
@@MiguelRPD no, I haven't seen one on yt. The triple beam option was very pricey and I think that's why lexus didn't make to many gs with the triple beam headlights.
I have an 18 GS F-Sport without the triple beam lights. To add that option it was apart of the heads up display which adds another 5k to the car. I did not get it because 5k was too much for the lights as I think should be standard as you stated. The standard lights does not look good in my opinion.
@@acura8080 so I looked up IIHS site, because they recently review headlights and grade them, the triple beam headlights are better than the standard. But not overwhelmingly better. It's similar going from a B grade light to an A grade. Not worth the expensive option.
The car is not selling well because theres nothing drop dead gorgeous about it. The gs used to be distinct and unique. Now , the gs look like a typical car. It needs a serious redesign
Also people may like the reliability but if there's nothing new about the GS then there's no point in trading it in and upgrading. You can have a 10 year old Lexus and it'll still be similar to the new Lexus. Great for owners but probably bad for the manufacturer.
I really love the GS. The build quality is like a tank. Love that interior. The car does need a replacement now because it’s long in the tooth but it has aged so damn well you can’t really fault it that’s how good it is.
Long in the tooth is an understatement. The only thing saving the interior is the optional 12.3 inch screen that takes the focus off of the otherwise bland GM looking dashboard design. The powertrain you can find at your local toyota dealer in the Camry. Good thing they ditched the 60k 200t version that had less horsepower than a Hyundai Sonata. Only thing saving the near 100k GS-F is the Yamaha 5.0 V8 and the fact that they can be had used for 45k now. Depreciation hit those worse than a Chevy Malibu.
When the Lexus fans can only praise a car for it’s reliability, you know it’s time to move on. The new ES and even mundane Camry destroy the GS in all metrics. Lexus has let the GS languish while spending important development dollars on more popular models like the LS and RX models. They know the GS is dead so why spend money on it.
All of these fanboys who praise that GS but no one is actually putting their money where their mouth is. They only sold 6600 in 2018 and 2019 is shaping up to be much worse. Looks like Lexus will sell 25% less. Lexus has fat profit margins on these because they stopped innovating after 2012. The drivetrain is so old me inefficient, while the technology is still 2012.
i had a 2013 f sport rwd for 2.5 years Technology is fine does matter too busy enjoying the actual car. ride was a little rough however great for the weekends and just fine for daily commute. best 35,000 miles I've ever had in a car. id buy mine back if i could.
Earlando Johnson yeah if they update the interior like the LC, LS and ES oh my !.... they can honestly make the GS great and make it way different than the ES it’s very possible they are not focused on it
If you own a Lexus you may be biased. I don't. This is the car that MADE Lexus. It should be something special. ALWAYS. It's not anymore. Unfortunate !
I’ve argued this before. The GS actually sells really well. It’s one of the fastest selling cars in the country according to KBB. The problem would be dealers not stocking them. My Lexus dealership ordered 2 GS after 2 months of not having any and they are already sold out. So now when the monthly reports show Sept and Oct, the lack of inventory will reflect as slow sales when actually there were just none available. Also, the GS won so many awards for being reliable because it is so old. The LX and GX are even older and are some of the most decorated vehicles from JD Power and KBB. I don’t mind that the cars are older, however a simple tech refresh would solve 90% of the GS’ problems. An infotainment borrowed from the 2020 RX would seriously help.
Michael Rafael Great info! Well said about the lack of inventory impacting sells. I’d even add that when they have them, they don’t stock enough f-sport variants.
Big mistake to get rid of the GS it's part of lexus history since the 2is gs300. look at bmw they don't discontinue anything they keep shitting out new models every month lol.
Depreciations is horrible. I bought a 2017 back in April for 40,000. Original Sticker was 58,000. The car is certified until 2024 and had 15,000 miles on it. In my opinion I could not find a better value for 40k. It’s an amazing car that’s under appreciated. It will be on the road long past the competition.

We own two 2015 Lexus's......a GS350 (my car) and an RX350 (my wife's). Love 'em both. Now, for the GS.......I've owned numerous sports cars in the past (Corvette, 3 Porsches, etc.) and I find that the GS350 strikes a VERY nice balance between luxury and performance. It is well mannered but will flat out haul a** when called upon (note that I have the 8-speed transmission; that is awesome). It is truly a driver's car that also happens to be a luxury car. Ours is also AWD, black leather interior, black exterior, loaded with options for the 2015 year. Super low miles. I intend to drive this thing until the wheels fall off. That said, could the GS use some style updating? Definitely. I mean, my own car had often been mistaken in parking lots.....by me......for everything from a Honda to a Ford to a Toyota (I could be forgiven for that one.....) to a .........you get the idea. In a way, I actually sort of like that. I've driven my share of "cop magnets" over the years, and the GS simply isn't one. I LOVE that. It's that non-descript badass in the crowd that rises to the occasion when you need 'em. Not sure that makes sense, but to this 64 year old it does. :) Great video. :)
Since Lexus has the Es attacking the E Class, A6, 5 Series and every one else, they should turn the GS into a Sloping Roof/A7 like styled car to attack the A7, CLS, 6 Series and more just to keep this car alive and crank up the engine to standard 350 horsepower at least with the F series making over 500-550 horsepower with Twin turbocharge.
Mr. C.G.O Completely agree with this! I just bought a 2016 gs350 fsport CPO. Very nice car but it would be cool to have a better infotainment or more power. I’m all for Lexus getting rid of this model (or putting it on hiatus) and replacing it with a sporty 4 door coupe to compete w/ the the 4 series, A5/A7 sportback and the Kia stinger GT (friend has one and the performance is amazing). If the sloping roof GS is sporty and capable it would sell like hot cakes for Lexus.
54car That’s very true. This GS happens to be the ONLY car, along with the RX Lexus I’d even consider. The rest of the lineup are either outdated or underpowered or wearing the wrong “sports” badge. Deceitful!
That AWD system is not an on-demand system that you often see on other vehicles, it consists of a planetary geared center differential that sends power 30% front and 70% rear through gearing alone. There is a clutch pack that can tighten up to bring that power distribution closer to 50/50. In this sense, it is closely related to the AWD system on the Subaru WRX STI. It's an old school, reliable, predictable AWD system.
The only Lexus i'd own would be a 13 - 19 Lexus GS or 13-17 LS. All the rest are just a Toyota underneath!. Stick with a Camry v6 unless you jump up to a GS or LS.
I've driven a 2003 Lexus ES and a 2009 Camry and though the early ES was built on the Camry platforn( which isn't necessarily bad thing given the reliability of that platform anyway) they drive nothing alike.
Just traded my 2016 Cadillac CTS for the 2016 GS F Sport. What a huge improvement. So much better. I absolutely love this car. My daughter who is learning to drive was mad when I traded the Caddie but all that went away when she drove this whip.
My 2007 gs350 awd was a bargain buy used,303hp has been flawless after 20k miles, currently has 135k, just broken in, best used car buy ever,no more BMW!
The GS just needs a redesign. It’s actually one of my favorite cars. Change the body style like they’ve done with the ES and LS and this car could still compete with the 5 series and E Class.
Always preferred the GS over the ES. Especially the late 90s early 00's model. The ES is just the luxury version of the Camry it looks exactly the same, the GS is about the same size and features so it makes more sense to buy over the ES
I hope they continue the GS. It has its own personality that I haven't found other vehicles to match. That doesn't always turn to sales numbers so I also understand.
Donovan Tompkins and it’s more fun and dynamic than the average bmw 5 series excluding the M products. Bmw has become softer and more nose heavy. The Gs has a better weight balance
For a GS, I would take this or the RWD with the 8 speed auto. As far as "not getting it all" I went to a Lexus Drive event and I actually commented that I wanted to drive a GS because everything but the LC500 and LS500 were the only rear drive CARS they make. To me it's like a Japanese 530i or 540i, which is nice.
I have driven a GS vs an ES...no contest. The GS shifts much more smoothly...no lag, etc. They should NOT discontinue it. Or...they should incorporate its strengths into the ES
I agree! I own a 2016 GS350 F-Sport & recently drove a 2021 ES350 as a loaner & there were some things I liked about it, but still far prefer the GS in nearly every way. I agree with the transmission not feeling as smooth especially during more aggressive acceleration & doesn't shift as quickly ether. The ES has too much power going to the front wheels & could really use AWD. The GS despite having a much older interior looks better in my eyes & has higher quality materials such as soft touch materials on the lower parts of the doors & dash. I'm a guy in my mid-30's as I far prefer to exterior of the GS as the ES just looks too feminine to me even in the F-Sport trim.
@@DisneyMusicVideosI went from a 19' ES 350 to a 19' GS 350. I did like the door handles, infotainment system, roominess and gas mileage of the ES but the GS is a much better built and sophisticated car in every way.
@@little123456788 I agree that the build quality is for sure better on the GS since they were manufactured in Japan where the ES is manufactured in Kentucky. I still have my GS & not planning on replacing it any time soon unless I ever find a 2016-18 GS450h hybrid in red with the flaxen interior, but they're "EXTREMELY" rare.
"Obviously, it'd be great if it had a manual transmission..." No. No it wouldn't. It's not a sports car. It's a grand touring car. Stop trying to pretend everything should be tracked. Only car reviewers actually like shifting. Everyone else hates it, especially in traffic.
But non of those cars are as reliable and will last over 200,000 miles. Not saying I would keep it for 200,000 mile plus, but it's nice to know I want b forced to trade it or make major repairs anytime soon.
I currently own a 2015 GS F-Sport AWD version the last model before that ugly predator grill design language came into play. I recieve more compliments, glances and small talk when pumping gas and how beautiful and classic this 4 door sports design is than any other car I've owned including previously owned BMWs. The handling and overall driving dynamics ironically remind me of my previous 2003 BMW E39 5 series the last true sports sedan with that "analog" feel and drive. The GS handles like it's on rails and eats corners plus well balanced and although the naturally aspirated V6 is "old" by today's standards it built like a bank vault, built to last and sounds amazing when you punch it. Even the refreshed 2016+ GS doesn't drive nor handle the same and it has more of an artificial steering feel, suspension seems to have changed too where it's not as firm or tight and confident whereas the 2013- 2015 versions you get real road feedback, sense of balance and grip. Love my GS and its ageless design and despite its outdated and terrible infotainment system everything about the vehicles driving experience makes up for it.
For my opinion in the states with up to 75 or 80 mph the 305 or 311 HP is quite enough for any car manufacturers for daily drive car, i have an Avalon 268 hp very good handling California canyon roads and good gas mileage never has problems taking over when i need, the only change I want is maybe Apple and Android car play
The 6 speed AWD GS is much faster than the 8 speed RWD because the transmission shifts faster, despite being heavier and more powertrain loss than RWD. The 2013 6 speed RWD was fast as hell; the passing speed of 30 to 50 and 50 to 70 were less than 3.5 seconds, much faster than the 8 speed and nearly as fast as the GS F. The MPG savings from the 8 speed is negligible from what I see in Fuelly, so I wish the GS kept the RWD 6 speed. Look at the numbers from Caranddriver instrumented tests
I can imagine the same vehicle but without that engine and transmission you would replace that weight with battery packs and a small electric engine on each wheel. Maybe not all wheel drive but that is the future of automobiles
I daily drive a 2002 Lexus GS430 and don't feel outdated. These are drivers cars, not techy millennial cars. Too bad Lexus dropped the V8 from the base cars.
I lovvveee the GS! I had an 06 GS430 with around 160k miles no issues but I wanted the newer f-sport design so I traded up last summer for a 2015 GS350 F-sport awd. I love it! I do think the 06 had beautifully flowing lines but I love the more aggressive styling and updated interior. I agree that I don’t like the wheel gap with the awd, the tech isn’t a bother - I get frustrated hearing reviewers act like it’s a pain to deal with, it’s not at all.. everything can be adjusted in the settings, reliability was a major deciding factor in sticking with Lexus. Yes I could have an Audi, BMW, or Merc but I think the risk of pricey maintenance/repairs is too high. Plus Lexus customer service is second to none! My dealership serves lunch 😎 However, I do miss the v8 growl so I’m thinking of trading up to a GSF in another year or so. The GS is a very distinguished luxury performance sedan and is not comparable to an ES despite what people say/think. I hope they keep lineage going well into the future!
I love my 2014 Lexus GS 450h. Solid build and reliability that Lexus is known for with understated styling that many find lacking but which I appreciate. Mine's in pearl white, with tan and black leather interior, and bamboo wood. Just a great package all around with the electronic CVT that is so smooth and routinely gets me 32 MPG in the city. I do my own basic maintenance and it's never once been in the shop, and probably never will be. I can say that for any of my previous Audi or BMWs.
Love my white on red 2016 GS350 F-Sport that I bought used three years ago with 41k miles for $31k (Original MSRP $58k) & it still impresses me how well rounded it is in every aspect & not planning on replacing it at least anytime soon. Even better than my previous & already excellent 2017 IS200t F-Sport. It currently has 72k miles & still feels new as expected. There are plenty of great choices out there but I would easily buy another one no doubt. I've driven the current ES a few times & hated it compared to the GS which is a MUCH better car despite it being much older. I actually really like the joy stick controller & FAR prefer it over the newer touchpad.
Nobody nobody NOBODY buys a Lexus for tech. Lexus buyers are thinking 6-8-10 years out. F Package unnecessary....? You haven’t pushed that car in the twists have you? I almost took mine back to the dealership until I pushed that car. That said Toyota did stop production of Supra and then brought it back as eeeeew.... so who knows.
The new ones are mediocre I hate the new grill. I personally prefer the previous version of it. Which is why I got a 2015 f sport and it has a 8 speed. Not sure why they can’t put a 8speed with awd
alex ruano How do you like your Gs-f ? I’m looking to get one. I’ve seen reviews say they wish the car had more power. Some said it was boring. What’s your take?
Good review and I think I have to agree with you, great car but it's old. I'm sure if they discontinued the GS line they'd replace it with something else, wouldn't they?!
Never buy this car without the F Sport package if you like driving, Sport + makes a huge difference. Yes it is old, but the most reliable RWD luxury sport sedan in the market you can buy
That GS is ancient and ridiculously dated. Lexus is still trying to ride the wave from the mid 2000’s. No innovation, poor fuel economy and catering to old people who are resistant to technology. No one is buying the GS and it will be killed off soon,
Personally, I think people obsessed with manual transmissions should also move on. As of 2019, traditional manual transmissions, more often than not, are slower and yield poorer fuel efficiency. There’s absolutely no reason to prefer traditional manual transmission with clutches.
I am one of those people. The things you list here as advantages of autos is true when measuring raw numbers. In practical use, things are different. I own the RWD 8sp version of this Lexus and I love it. As good as this trans is (It is nice!) I find it is often not in the gear I prefer. Almost all autos tend to stay a couple of gears high when you are on the brakes then after a brief delay, shift abruptly AFTER the accelerator is pressed. Also, autos tend to grab a lower gear than needed for mildly aggressive turns, making you appear like an obnoxious A-hole rather than someone who is just trying to get somewhere quick and smoothly. Your final comment is may be true as your opinion, but as matter of fact easily proven wrong. One reason to prefer a manual is control. I can choose a gear based on sight, sound, and feel of driving conditions, rather than hoping a computer gets it right based on speed and throttle position. Paddle shifters are still autos, they just make you ask for permission to use another gear the computer chooses. Reason two, reliability. You will have few problems with a manual, unless it is severely beat on. Reason three, cost. Manuals are cheaper to develop and manufacture than autos. The only reason the price gap has disappeared is the development cost for manuals has to be recovered on a small number of sales. Reason 4 less expensive to service and repair. More than 80% of the troubles most experience with manuals are clutch/pressure plate related. These are repairs that do not require highly specialized equipment or training to accomplish.
I own a 2013 GS f sport not a single problem and the only thing they need to do is redesign and give it 400 horses. I don't see Lexus Killing this model because they will not have anything to compete with the 5 series or E class.

I am sick of them trend “let’s make a car for 9 years then replace it with something more hip and exciting”. Cars are the second largest investment people make, they don’t want pieces of crap.
It makes me sad that Lexus might not continue the GS. With a redesign, it could take on the 5 series and E class
Unfortunately even if Lexus did a GS350 redesign, they would still offer the weakest motor in it’s class!
They have the know-how, just not the will
Jay Mac Yup I totally agree! Just get more aggressive like what they did with the LFA and Supra!
@@JCizzleSoCal I doubt the supra is going to do good
Jay Mac I thought F represented the sports model. What’s F represent vs sports model?
I like the GS for being an old school sedan Having traditional rear wheel drive and N/A V6 or V8 engine for the GS F variant
GS will always be my favorite Lexus! It's way past time for a redesign though. they need to lay off of the crossovers.
That's where the profits are and that's where the market is shifting towards. Can't fight the market trying to be competitive. Stay with what's hot with the market and your company stays afloat. All in all I hate crossovers. Wish the fad would end.
@@ashs3380 I agree
A redesign would be great, but I won't lie, I do think the current looks are still good!
What lexus needs is a 3 L twin turbo v6 making around 350-370 hp with good torque to go in new GS and new IS with recent day infotainment systems
The LS already has a 416 horsepower 3.5L V6. Turn down the power on that, and it’ll be a good engine here
Jay Mac
Yeah and with a simple after market tune it hits 500 hp! That will be awesome 😎
Jay Mac totally agree
Lexus need to put that v35fts in their cars besides the LS
its called the Supra
I own a is350 F sport 2007. Car is a beast, plenty of power. I do not need anything else. No issues whatsoever. Lexus makes the most reliable luxury cars out there period
I'd take my 08 GS350 over a new ES or. TRD Camry any day...
i love that generation of GS, they still look so good.
No sunroof avl in the new TRD Camry. Just sayin...

I have heard naysayers for years saying this model will be discontinued, but it is still here. I have a GS F V8 model and love it,
best car I have ever owned. Lexus keep the GS alive !
The entire GS lineup is so underpowered in comparison to the competition! An expensive, top
of the line, flagship, performance GS F has less than 470 horsepower and a 380 torque rating!
Yep, still rocking my 13 GS 350 RWD, absolutely love it, so luxurious and reliable to boot, unlike the 5 series I had before it.
Scotty kilmer would call you some very unflattering names for that verdict.

Is there a comparison video of it?
@@MiguelRPD no, I haven't seen one on yt. The triple beam option was very pricey and I think that's why lexus didn't make to many gs with the triple beam headlights.
I have an 18 GS F-Sport without the triple beam lights. To add that option it was apart of the heads up display which adds another 5k to the car. I did not get it because 5k was too much for the lights as I think should be standard as you stated. The standard lights does not look good in my opinion.
@@jazzy1109 I agree 100%, that was something that should have been standard for all gs models. That is way to pricey for a headlight upgrade.
@@acura8080 so I looked up IIHS site, because they recently review headlights and grade them, the triple beam headlights are better than the standard. But not overwhelmingly better. It's similar going from a B grade light to an A grade. Not worth the expensive option.
They tested the V8 verson on The Smoking Tire....oh my. .what a beautiful sound the V8 makes.
This is the only 2016-2020 Lexus Gs350 fsport on youtube Lol. Every other journalist reviewed the non fsport or the 450h.
The F sport package is completely necessary boss
The car is not selling well because theres nothing drop dead gorgeous about it. The gs used to be distinct and unique. Now , the gs look like a typical car. It needs a serious redesign
The model before it which I have is a better looking car the 2006 to 2011 I have a 2006 gs430 4.3 L V8 which is kind of hard to find
Maybe they should add Apple CarPlay and Andiord Auto with a 360 degree camera and bring it up to 2016 luxury car standards
Who the freak cares about those shits?
Only snobs buy cars for computers.
The GS350 without F sport drives really well also. It's pretty hard to find a good one available.
Mercedes and bmw models all look the same too!!
They really do
Toyota is king in styling.bmw benz same old styling not much change..
Meanwhile Mercedes produces a cargo van, wagon, unimog, truck, SUV coupe, 6x6, lifted SUVs, and plug in ev something Lexus doesn't do.
GS looks like the ES but so does the c class and e class, they're even harder to differentiate.
I have a 2017 version of this car and love it!
Old is gold in my eyes as long as it last
Give this thing an interior update like the ES and LS, and it'll make it another few years. Come on Lexus!
This was one of the best finish and sedan on Lexus line up
I’ve argued this before.
I’m getting a gs350 in December, I’m 21 Driving a 95 Avalon now. I don’t really care about the tech but the reliability is everything to me!
MIKEY20005 do it bro!! You won’t have any regrets!

I miss my 4GS, May it rest in piece. 😔 best handling car in it’s class when it debuted in 2013.
@@user-ki1vd3ti8j Technically the es is built on the Avalon platform now, which is an elongated camry.

GSF is one of the best cars I've ever driven. In the UK GS has just been replaced by ES.
The GS just needs a redesign. It’s actually one of my favorite cars. Change the body style like they’ve done with the ES and LS and this car could still compete with the 5 series and E Class.
Not with those weak motors!

The perfect daily driver/jack of all trades sedan. Love my 2014
But non of those cars are as reliable and will last over 200,000 miles. Not saying I would keep it for 200,000 mile plus, but it's nice to know I want b forced to trade it or make major repairs anytime soon.
That’s part of its charm, reliable, comfortable. Doesn’t have an unnecessary amount of tech.
ES is better looking. Once it gets a rear Hybrid drive, it'll be a good fill-in. Personally prefer the touchpad over the knob.
The lexus gs is one of my favorite sport sedans I hope they bring it back but better and make it cool to drive with all the bells and whistles
I thought they had already canceled the GS. Use to be my favorite model. That grill made it fugly
I like the styling of the ES better, but getting AWD in the GS was a huge benefit
I think he is right, the Lexus GS might be on it's way out. It's sad too, because the GS was a great car, especially with enthusiasts.
It's not going anywhere.
it's old in the same way that the mustang is old. where's the argument again?
I love my 2018 and love it more after this video
Great review Nathan
Genesis is NOT a competitor 😂😂😂
I love the GS! I think I have enjoyed almost every generation and I hope they keep it around!
Yes,it need update really bad!
This use to be my favorite Lexus.
I like the 3rd gen better. These new grills look like trash. But I drove a 2020 ES350 (same engine basically) and it's certainly quick.
Agreed the generation before this was a beautiful car.
I thought the F Sport also had the upgraded front and rear Larger brakes??
280 lb FT is incredible for an NA 3.5l v6
I can imagine the same vehicle but without that engine and transmission you would replace that weight with battery packs and a small electric engine on each wheel. Maybe not all wheel drive but that is the future of automobiles
It old, but that why it last longer
You're trippin...this car is great and it will alst 4ever...
I daily drive a 2002 Lexus GS430 and don't feel outdated. These are drivers cars, not techy millennial cars. Too bad Lexus dropped the V8 from the base cars.
Jay Town Junkyard Files you can still get them with GS-F of course you need to fork almost 90K
No one is buying the GS and it will be killed off soon,
I love my 2015 GS 350 F Sport AWD.
Classy Nathan is so much better than Sporty Roman.
Dont fix it when its not broken. Lexus should stick to what works for them.
This car is classic every GS model looks good I currently have a gs430 2006 V8 and I have 185000 miles these cars last forever whether it's a V6 or a V8 with just basic maintenance no BMW Mercedes or Audi could achieve that
Nathan Lopez Awesome! I had an 06 GS430 with around 160k miles no issues but I wanted the newer f-sport design so I traded up last summer for a 2015 GS350 F-sport awd. I love it! I do think the 06 had beautifully flowing lines but I love the more aggressive styling and updated interior. I agree that I don’t like the wheel gap with the awd, the tech isn’t a bother as it can be adjusted in the settings, reliability was a major deciding factor in sticking with Lexus. Yes I could have an Audi, BMW, or Merc but I think the risk of pricey maintenance repairs is too high. Plus Lexus customer service is second to none. However, I do miss the v8 growl so I’m thinking of trading up to a GSF in another year or so.
@@Gameboytri77a sweet yes you should trade for the GSF I actually still have my 06 and I just recently purchased a 2009 Lexus ISF and I love it it's one bad ass car
Nathan Lopez Omg!! Congrats on the ISF!! Hell of a car and very rare to see. Most of the ones I’ve seen for sale are all in Cali.
@@Gameboytri77a thank you yes I got it in San Mateo California for only $13, 900 and it is clean title
@D B I still have mine and now I currently have an ISF
A face only a mother could love.
This model is very unique for what it offers to a driver. Vastly different from the ES as well. Great resale value. I’ve heard the 300 model is leaving but the 350 continues on for the coming year.
