I’ve heard a lot about the “Adaptive memory” of the transmissions that learn the drivers habits and adjust accordingly. A lot of sites say to reset this. Is there anything to it?
Hey mate! Firstly thank you so much for watching! I've heard of this as well, I know the newer cars definitely do this, not too sure about the GS since it's more than a few years old. Good question to ask the service centre and if it is to reset it especially if you're buying pre-owned! Let me know how you go!
Cool video. I liked & subscribed, from the States. I currently have a 2011 GS 350, AWD, it’s a nice ride but I was curious about the differences between these two models, which seem to both have 3.5 liter V6’s. I may upgrade to the newest used low mileage GS 350 F. I bought mine just before the pandemic & it seems to be still worth what I paid for it, it had only 50k miles, now 95k. I got it for about $21k USD.
The GS350 F sport had as options Rear Wheel Steering and a Torsen Limited Slip Differential. If you drive a GS 350 with those two options only found on the rear drive models but are hard to find and are more rare. The only way to tell if they have those options is to look under the rear of the car.
I was thinking about doing that but really the reason I did these two was because the brand new IS price was the same as a one year old GS price, so it made a bit more sense haha :) I do have a pre-facelift IS vs facelift RC video coming out soon :)
Hey mate, Firstly thank you so much for watching :D!! About the car, I'm in Australia so couldn't comment on anything in the UK but generally at that sort of mileage there will be some maintenance required. Usually not too much on a Lexus but make sure it has always been serviced and looked after 👍
My parents 1989 Toyota Camry had adjustable headrests. Lexus is shamelessly cutting features to make people upgrade to actually newer and more expensive models
Hey Guanzhong, Firstly thank you so much for watching! And between the two there isn't much of a difference but I did notice the IS to have better insulation from road noise, but GS had a bit (literally a bit) better insulation from engine noise. Hope that helps! Are you thinking about getting one?
@@SergCarReviews Thanks for the reply! Yeah I have been thinking about getting one. Also, is there a lot of differences among the 2014/2017/2021 IS models? I dont really care about apple carplay tbh cuz I just let my playlist go shuffle.
@@DarkDetectiveLight Between 14 and 17 not really, it's much the same car, however the 20/21 models you will definitely feel a difference in the IS350 especially, the gearbox is a lot more seamless. You would be mad to buy an is if you could get a gs for the same money. Being 1 year old is no problem, just run in. I recently bought a 2014 gs350 fsport, for 35k, in new zealand. Only 44000km, full service history. Bargain. Such a great car.
lol i know this is a 2 year old video but isnt the gs350 5.7 0-60 mph? or did that somehow change to 6.0 for the 2020 model? just curious if anyone knows
I dont know why the reviewer is suprised that it doesn't drive like a sports car..its a lexus...of course its NOT A SPORTS CAR..its a comfortable, reliable, "sporty" luxury sedan..its not supposed to have Mods, loud exaust, and sports car performance..ITS A LEXUS maaaaaaaan!!!!!!....😅😅
The age group that is going to buy this car will not notice point 4 seconds difference or extra body roll. They probably will never even use the Paddles
Hey mate, firstly thank you so much for watching! I understand your point but as these cars get onto the used car market more and more younger people are purchasing them as opposed to the clients that used to many years ago. Thanks again for watching! 😄
i own a 3GS350. Good looking car. not as good looking as the 2gs but worlds better interior and tech. having said that, i would never own a 4gs.. just too vanilla looking. wouldn't even consider it. looks as exiting as a ford taurus, even the f version. that is though, that IS350 is a masterpiece of a refresh! IS is just too cramped and uncomfortable in a world of traffic jams though.

I’m in a little pickle here. The IS 350 looks better and is cheaper but surprisingly weighs more than the GS 350 unless the GS 350 is the AWD model and the IS 350 isn’t…
Hey mate! Firstly thank you so much for watching :D And the biggest question is do you need an AWD? And mate would love to but haven’t even seen a GS450h in a couple years! Would be such an awesome car to drive!
Btw thank you so much for watching 😄 Feel free to subscribe cos we’ve got plenty more coming 😄!
GS has a HUD and newest IS not and it comes with my 3.5ltr V6Hybrid (345hp !) and not a overstressed 4cylHybrid !!
Yes thats right!! Thank you so much for watching 😁
Great comparison!
Mate!! Thank you so much for watching! Which one would you take??
Also I just put up the new 2021 LS500 if you’re curious 😄!!
Lol the IS will never touch the GS not even the ES. GS is not only good it’s rare it’s already a classic.
Such a shame they don't make em anymore!!
Did you ever do a video on the GSF with the V8? I think you would love it.
The GS350 F sport had as options Rear Wheel Steering and a Torsen Limited Slip Differential. If you drive a GS 350 with those two options only found on the rear drive models but are hard to find and are more rare. The only way to tell if they have those options is to look under the rear of the car.
Is the foglight on GS at 2:28min factory installed or aftermarket?
Standard in Australia. Thanks so much for watching 😊
Would’ve been cool if you has a IS before the facelift so the comparison would be more from the same design style
I was thinking about doing that but really the reason I did these two was because the brand new IS price was the same as a one year old GS price, so it made a bit more sense haha :) I do have a pre-facelift IS vs facelift RC video coming out soon :)
Gs all the way
They're so good! Thank you so much for watching 😊
the new lamp waaay better on the 2021 version
I agree but I also still love the previous model too 😆! Thank you so much for watching 😄
Is the Lexus Gs300 a good buy at 130k miles will it be expensive to maintain in the uk?
Hey mate, Firstly thank you so much for watching :D!! About the car, I'm in Australia so couldn't comment on anything in the UK but generally at that sort of mileage there will be some maintenance required. Usually not too much on a Lexus but make sure it has always been serviced and looked after 👍
My parents 1989 Toyota Camry had adjustable headrests. Lexus is shamelessly cutting features to make people upgrade to actually newer and more expensive models
Hey mate, firstly thank you so much for watching :) It's interesting you say that!
The gs looks so convincing
Such a good looking car! Even in for a large Saloon, blue on it looks amazing and I thought only the M5 could pull it off!
@@SergCarReviews so true
@@SergCarReviews keep making videos like this ...having very very nice information
Funny my old 87 Corona has the head rest ajustable the same click click
how about the silence in the cabin? are the noticeably different?
And mate it sounds like you're like me as long as musics playing you're alright 😂 really either you go you'll enjoy them 😄 Watch the IS vs IS vs IS and skip to the driving parts I really go into more detail about how it feels compared to the previous gen. Let me know how you go and feel free to get in touch on insta if you want 😊
@@SergCarReviews ohh i thought the suspension was like higher or smoother on the 21 IS. much appreciated with your reply! i will watch it!
@@DarkDetectiveLight Keep me posted 😄
very impressive good review 👍👍👍👍
Barev Serob!! Thank you so much for watching and hope to see you on the next one! Feel free to check out the instagram and send me a message :D!
@@SergCarReviews much love i have the 2021 is 300 amazing car thats what brought me to your video i wish you best
@@serobboshnakyan1048 No way bro! Congratulations man awesome car! Which model did you get? Also are you a fellow Armenian?
@@SergCarReviews well i have the 2021 lexus is 300 rwd an amazing car really love it and yes i am Armenian my brother
Hello my friend, who is the fastest?
I remember my mom's 1985 Toyota van had those headrests. 🤣
Hahah
You would be mad to buy an is if you could get a gs for the same money. Being 1 year old is no problem, just run in. I recently bought a 2014 gs350 fsport, for 35k, in new zealand. Only 44000km, full service history. Bargain. Such a great car.
No way Pete!! Congratulations mate :D!! That's so well done!! Congratulations again :)
The GS also gets folding mirrors and automatic trunk lol
Thanks so much for watching 😄 From memory not the F-Sport (here in Aus anyways). This was a few years ago so I can't remember exactly.
You could shows us some memes so your channel attracts the GenZ
Hey Sameer, mate thank you so much for watching and commenting! Can you check out my UX300e video and let me know what you think?
This one - ua-cam.com/video/B177z04wbk8/v-deo.html
lol i know this is a 2 year old video but isnt the gs350 5.7 0-60 mph? or did that somehow change to 6.0 for the 2020 model? just curious if anyone knows
i guess the year im model / year im referring to is 2018 rwd but maybe the awd is slower due to the weight? lol taking anyone's knowledge
@@fish4272i think the older ones 2007-2012 were geared more aggressively so it got a quicker 0-60 time compared to the newer ones.
GS all day!
Such a good car!! 😄😄 Thanks so much for watching!! See you on the next one 😊
I think the Lexus GS is bigger more space then the is looks better
Hey Maurice! Thank you so much for watching 😄
GS all day long.
They're awesome!! 😄👌
Ill take the gs 350
Hey Joe, thanks so much for watching :)
I'm loving driving on the other side of the street! Lol!
Hi would you please make a review on outlander 2022 ES 4wd
Hi Manzo, if I get a chance I definitely will!
GS is classic
Agreed!
No its not lol, i see GS everywhere.
The IS 350 is a sports sedan. The back seat is for packages and kids. If you want lots of headroom in the back seat buy an LS.
Hey mate!! Firstly thank you so much for watching and coming over from Dougs channel 😄 Totally agree! Ive actually reviewed the LS as well, have you watched it yet? Catch up soon 😊
Are es350
Glad theyre moving back to one head lamp cuz the split led is ugly
Sure is beautiful but you clearly can’t park the right way
Thank you so much for watching 😄😄😄!
I have the same car but will be getting. Rc350 soonish
Awesome mate!! Send me some pics on instagram - @sergcarreviews 😀
I can't get over how charming you are.
If you do then there's no other way around it you'll have to get the GS... but if it isn't needed, I'll say get the IS350 for more fun, get the GS350 for more comfort. Let me know how you go :D You're welcome to DM me on insta - @sergcarreviews Talk soon!
The IS looks way better than the gs inside and out but the car size is built for woman
Hahah I wouldn't say that but they are a lot smaller.... Very tight in the cabin 😂
not the inside trust. I had the 2016 IS which is basically the same interior and the 2018 GS, the GS is in another league
Gs for me 👌
It’s funny it used to be me too but the new IS has grown on me more and more! Would you get it in this blue colour though?
Thanks so much for watching Jawad! I just posted the new 2021 LS500, if you want to watch it 😄
With out a doubt it is nice but I'm not a fan of electronic steering an brakes after hearing about miss billionaire who died in her tesla . I am in control of a manual steering an manual brakes
Showing the IS: "...what the rest of the world gets"
Meanwhile EU: :/
U don't made any sense 😒 gs>is
Hey Justin!! Firstly thank you so much for watching!! I would've agreed if I had the previous generation IS but they've come such a long way that saying the GS was the better car, I would be called biased for the car 😂 But I do love the GS and see where you're coming from 😄 Have a good one and hope to see you on the next one :)!1
I have a GS and never understood why all GS looks so dated. So sad.
They're so good though!!! Thank you so much for watching! 😊😄
Why u keep on laughing?
Why not? 😂
