@@FiveMissilesi mean it would definitely be useful. i think if i had these resources i'd build PCs for friends either as gifts or just charge whatever the components cost me. i like to knit for its own sake so i give people free stuff, though i imagine you'd have to be extremely wealthy to be comfortable giving away PCs away like knitted scarves all the time

I had a pc that had the quadro 2000 graphics card, 8gb ram and didn't realize how bad it was until I got into building my own pc and saving up and looking for good deals but felt bad for my dad buying it for me for 400 bucks but he made me very happy and I did play some minecraft on it and made me into pcs more so yeah. Oh and I also got to use the case to build my friend a pc when I bought another prebuilt that was better and upgrade it so I can use those and just not to ever use the stuff I had before but yeah lesson learned always ask about the gpu and cpu before buying and also other specs.

This is basically my PC in 2015 I think, basically a A8 7600 with almost the exact same cooler in the video, 8gb of RAM and no GPU, It give me good moments in CS:GO, LOL and BO2, rest in peace.
Fun fact: You could theoretically make CS:GO reach 60 fps on that system. All you'd have to do is change the game's resolution while fullscreen to 800x600. That's how I would get 60 fps on a GT 610 + Phenom II X4 955 system, which I had up until 2020. That and setting all the graphics settings to low

You should install a 30 series cooling solution to the GPU and a closed-loop CPU cooler and overclock the life out of those components.
I've still had worse. The first computer I had as a kid took around 5 minutes to load a webpage. It was a 1996 Monorail all in one, bought second hand from a pawn shop in I think 1998 or 1999. But hey it allowed 8-10 year old me start my first journey into the world wide web. Only had to suffer that combined with AOL dial up for two years before we upgraded to a MUCH better desktop that could actually play games.

My Dad's old machine that I just replaced for him has a Core I5 2 something and 8 gb of DDR3, and it is quite capable. In fact, it played War Thunder fine on decent settings @ 60 FPS with a 750 TI in it.

But yea i can somewhat agree that too many people expect everyone to buy last gen gpu's, even in this market.
For my gt 605 it was passive cooling.
until like a month ago i still used a gt730 2gb that was passive cooled and for me even the upgrade to a used 1050 ti felt like gaining overpowered pc status. I mean, the thing plays war thunder on 120fps high settings with a used 8 year old fx6300, a used asus sabertooth, and some used ddr3 2x8gb. My whole pc probably cost less than a rtx 3060, the hell people needing all that graphics power for other than to flex

Right under my foot right now is a built pc with the exact same case. i won't bore you with specs, but i play cyberpunk 2077 on it at 1080p 60fps on low, 45fps on medium and 30fps on high graphics settings. Without DLSS and DLAA I can also safely enable RTX and almost no loss in performance.
I have never had any overheating problems with this pc. This is not a bad case. But the acrylic side cover is really bad

I actually had to laugh when he talked about ddr3 being ancient. My current pc was top of the line when I built it because it had the "brand new" ddr4 ram.
Wanted to fact check myself and make sure I was right. Couldnt find any info about my ram cept for the fact that its 16gigs (4 4 gig sticks). So I used the command prompt to get the manufacturer info, it came back with unknown. My pc is getting so old that modern operating systems can't even tell me what its running on rofl.
Crazy cuz I remember when I first bought the gtx 1080 this thing runs on it had been hiked up in price due to bitcoin miners and had finally dropped. 1080 was top of the line for years at that point. And now its starting to be minimum specs.
The nice thing tho is when I do finally break down and buy new parts the price on gpu's are pretty respectable right now.

5:59 That's a mATX which stands for micro ATX which is a smaller motherboard factor! mATX generally only has 2 RAM! Slots and they are a limited expansion! the ATX motherboards are a lot bigger and generally have only 4 RAM! slots!
The latest boards are larger than ATX, they are called eATX, the e stands for extended which means they generally have more ports!
Although eATX have more ports the most popular motherboard currently is the Standard ATX!
That is supprisingly close to my old pc. I used to have a 760 gpu and a slightly better cpu (4 core 8 thread 2,3 ghz.) though I'm still running ddr3 ram. THe motherboard is some pos that I have no idea what it even is but it works so I'm not gonna complain.

i think that the gpu is the best part of this build seeing as the size/performance ratio is very competitive with modern gpus
IV BEEN USING THE GT 710 THE WHOLE TIME THIS FAR 2GB IT WORKED VERY WELL IN CS GO WITH THE I5 2400 WITH 8 GB RAM IT WAS FUN BUT I UPGRADE NOW FOR CS 2
