I really like this band, they are fun! Did you know that they also have an alter ego band called "Metallic Spin" that covers classic heavy metal songs? I didn't know that until today. Now I have another rabbit hole to discover! I have to say that the Japanese rock scene is pure gold. Wherever you go, you will find something new. New bands that are seriously good and take the band life in the right way. Just having fun and making music makes you feel good when you hear it.

Sokoninaru is ❤🔥 I love their commentary videos, even though i understand about one percent, but the delivery is still awesome. The recent "part change" series is also pretty hilarious. Misaki having to play the lead guitar and Juko on drums... Not the greatest listening experience, but lots of fun.

It's not really fair to call them "Band-Maid 2" since they started four years earlier than Band-Maid. Like Band-Maid, they're incredibly talented, energetic, and musically diverse. I'd suggest checking out their occasional side project Doll$Boxx with Fuki from Unlucky Morpheus on lead vocals as well. Start with the official MV of "Take My Chance."
While it's mostly apples and oranges compared to the maids (my fave band), they have one thing in common besides the fact that they're fantastic musicians. That is the their ability to leave the listener in a happier place after hearing.
I honestly don't think there's any similarly between two bands sound-wise. Many Japanese bands ignore boundary of different genres. High msicianship, talent, diversity are things you'll find in so many Japanese bands. I don't mind this song though.

Not too bad. However, after listening to JRock for almost 3 years, nobody is as good as Band-Maid with song composition and arrangement. And I still contend that the collective talent in Band-Maid is the best to come around in well over 20 years. Just my opinion folks. J Rock is very impressive all-around.
Better will always be subjective of course (I'm inclined to agree with you, although Band Maid musicians are absolutely excellent as well of course), the main reason I'd not call them Band Maid 2 however is that they predate Band Maid by about half a decade!

Talent, energy and creativity is off the wall with these ladies, genre's are something to picked, chosen and warped to their needs rather than something to be considered a boundary. You'll find songs ranging from speed metal to cute pop to RnB to jazz through their back catalogue. Definitely take a look at their MV "I Wish I" next to get a feel for the range they cover (for context "I Wish I" is the first track on their 2021 album and "MindSet" is the second). They're also a barely contained explosion of energy live, loads of amazing live footage you can dig into if you want. They also have a more metal focused side-project called DOLL$BOXX, another side project where they just cover their favourite 70's/80's classic metal (Metallica, Ozzy, Rainbow, etc) called Metallic Spin with Takenori Shinoyama from Saber Tiger on lead vocals, and another side project called Teradic Spin where they team up with legendary singer Keiko Terada and do reworked versions of classic SHOW-YA (Keiko Terada's band) and Gacharic Spin songs. They came here to chew bubblegum and play music, and they're all out of gum.

GS have been around for over a decade now, with various line-ups centred on bassist F Chopper Koga, multi-instrumentalist Hana (here on drums) and happy lead guitar Tomo-Zo. There line-up now is super solid (Oreo on keys, vocalist Angelina, and absent drummer Yuri) and they're producing great music. A heavier sound in their new track "I wish I".
