How many night maps are there, or are they just early morning maps? From what I remember a lot of the Finns success in the winter war was in night ambushes. I heard a story that one Finish general had positioned two machine-gun teams in-between two Russian battalions camping out on a lake. They fired upon the battalions from the other one's direction and ran away, when the two Russian battalions returned fire, they were shooting at each other and didn't realize they had been fighting themselves all night, until morning.
Also I really appreciate the time and effort you put into your videos for us! The quality is much higher than many multi-million subscriber channels!
I read about one attack at Suomussalmi, +100 dead soviets 1 KIA, they were just sitting afraid to freeze to death in 2 houses. Small, fast lethal raids Finns did.

I don't think that there are many Winter War servers up and running today.

Hey hex did you know why the servers are unranked i hate that because i playing most Winter war if the server where ranked i would have esy lvl99 but without i must go to normal servers and i hate normal rising storm2 too much full auto weapons but Winter war has the fealing that Red Orchestra 2 had and i like it

Everybody gets the Rising storm 2 menu when starting up the mod. So don’t worry about that. Now when you look for a game on the servers make sure to pick one that plays the Winther War maps
