Life-long Prince fan from Tennessee, moved to MN a couple decades ago now. Always knew what Dr. Fink meant to the big picture... Happened to notice him in line in front of me at Target in Savage one day in 2011 and had to rub my eyes and squint to make sure it was him. Couldn't believe it. I apologized for bugging him, but told him I was a huge fan and whatnot and he was BEYOND friendly and talked to me for a few minutes there after we checked out. I was blown away. I meantioned that my local cover band played a couple of Prince songs and joked that he should sit in with us sometime. He asked where / when we were playing and then proceeded to show up at Neisen's in Savage that weekend and play 1999 and Let's Go Crazy with us. It was beyond amazing, obviously, and one of the greatest thrills of my lifetime. Still can't believe that actually happened.

That is the bomb. The coolest thing I've ever heard of someone being so famous,Grammy's, performed stadiums all over the world.

Thank you for sharing! There aren't enough interviews with Fink. Fink has always been down to earth, professional and respectful towards Prince, never had a beef, never fell for greed or was sore or disgruntled the way many have been and it seems Prince respected that and appreciated him. Only wish you'd had a lot more time to talk.

MAN......I love this. Talking 2 musicians that ACTUALLY worked with Prince, and not from folks that just heard from other folks especially non-musician fans. Please bring in more musicians 4 a hearty interview.

Wow! The band split right after I saw the Parade Tour in August of 86. I knew it then but for some reason hearing it now stings a bit

I was at the Colosseum in L.A. when that disrespect happened. I watched a guy throw a bottle that almost hit Andre Symone. Then about an hour later the same couple was listening to the local radio station playing a Prince song that they were enjoying. I told them the guy they'd just booed and threw things at was that guy. They turned beet red!

Thanks for sharing, Matt one of the Revolution's said prince gave the band $1 million dollars each after they split up. Not Wendy and lisa though. Is that true? He did make over $15 million on the movie and album.

Thanks for sharing, love you both. I know why prince fired Jimmy and Terry. He wanted to separate them, because he didn't care much for Terry, I'm not sure why. But prince asked Jimmy to come back without Terry. And of course they gave prince a good reason to let them go. Not showing up for work will usually get anyone fired in most fields. Then they conformed prince's fear of giving away the times formula. Which they did to Janet Jackson, they used some of prince's sound. And David Z. said so, he recognized the parts Terry and Jimmy took from the time over to Janet because he produced these parts. Have you heard prince say in concert "who wrote that "? When prince let his singer cover "what have you done for me lately ". They took some of prince's music which they worked on together with him and handed it to Janet. Music born in prince's house I guess he owned it.

Gossip says Wendy and Lisa were snitching back to Susannah that he was seeing other women. Prince got mad at them for snitching, so he let them go.

They were fired for what they did ? Not missing the gig: stealing from the temple : giving away the minn sound etc
