A good review but please help me with some answers. I was considering to buy a Magic Keyboard purely for work with my Windows 11 PC (Macbook later, if I will have the money to buy one :)
I type a lot. I mean a lot. 30k-50k characters daily. I need to be fluent with typing with minimal errors and speed. A flat laptop keyboard simply dies under me in 2 yrs as the key-springs break and the keycaps fall out. I don't want to risk having the same issues with a Magic Keyboard again where I see a hefty repair-cost or a brand new one.
So my question is: Is it worth investing a lot of money to this keyboard and will it be together after intense use for years? I would hear opinion from people who uses magic keyboards for long term.

Hi! I am very "peecky" with keyboards as I write lots o code, I have an old 2015 Macbook Pro 15 but I use a Magic keyboard 2 with numeric (not the refresh one) I liked a lot until last 3 month ...my company's assigned to me a Macbook Pro 16 (M1Max) and I am addicted to that keyboard. Don't know why, the keys seems similar... but no, I measured them and they are 1mm smaller compared with the old Magic keyboard 2... very odd because seems very similar.
On the new Macbook Pro 16 feels more natural (at least to me) and less prone to press 2 keys at once (at least to me). I ask if those keys on the new Magic Keyboard 2 update are same used on macbook pro 16, or are still similar.

Why Magic the typing experience is amazing on the Microsoft when you are able to type 80 to 90 wpm will this experience be better with the apple magic keyboard ? Thanks I believe suspension of the press of the keys is based on experience of typing comfortability sensitivity and suppression of how the keys deliver when every key is pressed by the fingers really. @Eeveewashere 9 місяців тому

I'm more a Windows user but I thought the "magic" in the Apple Magic keyboard referred to the quickness at which the keyboard paired over Bluetooth to the mac. Logitech keyboards pair fast but I believe they are consistently 2 to 3 seconds slower. Still, logitech ones have other great features. The 2 to 3 seconds delay for the Logitech might be Apple sabotaging peripherals competition thru macOS APIs. Then again, I might be a paranoid conspiracy freak. I'm not an engineer so I'm speculating based on life experiences.

the keys size is too big compared to the previous one, typing with the next key is quite common as there is no margin , this is a. no sense at all, as smaller keys with same size layout was just perfect for small and large fingers. Also the new awfull designe layout for the arrows is just an example of design over function and goes against nature rules. you can like it, but is like preferring eating doritos vs boiled carrots. Also, the Fn keys are larger, so there is almost no tactile feedback on where your fingers are. is just a cute keyboard. but a not a very functional one
