Scott Minnella - I disagree. the funniest bit is when Bill Murray tries to blow up the rodent. It’s unsurpassable. Just pure genius. Dangerfield is ok but the film is too big for him
L Duke99 o my god so happy you said that. my dad passed but this was are favorite movie. he got his DVD covered signed by Bill Murray in memphis Tennessee
There is no such thing as "best Caddyshack quotes"... you'd have to watch the whole movie because every second of it rocks. Best, most perfect comedy ever made.
“ This steak still has marks where the jockey was hitting it” hahaha Hey you want to make 14 dollars an hour the hard way? Great writing back then I’m 65 still loving this movie
So many of Chevy Chase's lines in this are golden but the delivery on "What brings you to this nape of the woods, neck of the nape... how come you're here?" probably makes it my favourite.
Perhaps, being a long time Looper at whistling straits, I did use the your honor, your honor one liner with a federal judge, he wasn't amused. I was😂😂😂
I wish that line from Bill Murray "hey, if you want to get weird with somebody, I'm your man" was in this. That was definitely a joke within a joke right there.
"Its easy to grin, when your ship comes in & you've got the stock market beat. But its the man whose worthwhile who can sit with a smile, when his shorts are too tight in the seat" Ted Knight
Going to school & Playin hockey up in Boston in the early 90s... All Living in an Old house up on Mission Hill.. Equipment, Sticks, Pucks Pizza Boxes and kegs everywhere AND 3 movies were always in constant rotation back then Caddy Shack, The Blues Brothers & Slap Shot..So many classic lines & scenes in those movies and I remember every one of em... Thanks for posting, really put a smile on my face this morning, thinking bout some of the Best people, Best Players And some of the best times of my life!!!!.. 26 yrs ago Dear God!!!
One of my favorite lines from Caddyshack... "Spackler!!! Damn your eyes man!! I told you to cut the long grass on the 13th hole & The practice green!" "I was unavoidably detained." "Well you can forget about the 13th & The practice green, I've got a more important job for you...I want you to kill every gopher on the course." "Correct me if I'm wrong Sandy...but if I kill every golfer, they're gonna lock me up & throw away the key." "GOPHERS!!! GOOD GREIF!!! KILL NOT GOLFERS!!! THE LITTLE BROWN FURRY RODENTS!!! "We can do that, we don't even have to have a reason." "WELL THEN DO IT MAN!!" "Alright well let's do the same thing but with gophers." "DAMN IT MAN!!!" "It's not my fault no one can understand what you're saying."
I still somehow watch this every year or so. I love bringing back some of this classic original comedy people forgot about. I could walk in the bar and say a line and my generation has no clue and thinks it's original. Granted I always tell them they missed out on the joke.
Left out, "Did ya hear the one about the Jew, the Catholic and the colored boy who went to Heaven?" "ha ha ha, that's a doozy, judge!" "Colored boy? Why you ............."
LOVE THE INTERACTION BETWEEN BILL MURRAY AND CHEVY CHASE. BILL HEY WHERE YOU LIVE THERES A POOL RIGHT?? YES. A POOL. ACTUALLY A POOL AND A POND TOO. NATURAL SPRINGS FOR YOU❤😂🎉
The beauty of working at a golf course for the grounds crew and the pro shop, it’s almost impossible not to reenact some of the scenes from this movie 😂😂
Don’t forget about “the Jerk”! I absolutely love both, but I think I’d have to vote the jerk as my fave between the 2 comedies..but luckily, our world will never be crazy enuf 2ever require any of us having 2 choose between these 2 winners…& hopefully soon, we won’t instead have 2 keep voting between “the best losers.”😂(Jk! Lol) anyhoo…Tombstone is 1 of my fave 90s non-comedies. No country 4 old men wins 4 post 2000s films I adore. Just sayin’/sharin’!😊❤
Best line - Carl Spackler to Sandy, the head greenskeeper: "I'll slack you off, you fuzzy little foreigner; I will fill your bagpipes with Wheatena". I just lose my shit at the Wheatena reference.
I have a groundhog tunneling under my front porch, I gave up trying to get rid of em. Cute bugger.,,..I trained him for security duty. He has friends.....in low places......a lot of em....!!!!
"Rocky. Moose. Help the judge find his checkbook." -Rodney Dangerfield "Go(l)fers. Kill the go(l)fers!" -Head Greenskeeper "Kill the golfers? Wouldn't that be bad for business?" -Bill Murray
Caddyshack is a gem. It's still as funny today as when it premiered. I saw this and then Young Frankenstein. Two of the funniest movies ever made with truly talented actors. Is there anything recently made which compares? I dunno
You’re both right. I can think of a few that come close. Trading Places, Stripes, Ghostbusters, Tommy Boy, Dumb and Dumber, There’s Something about Mary, The Big Lebowski, The 40 Year Old Virgin, Superbad, The first Hangover movie. Even some of the stupid Adam Sandler movies had their moments lol. But I can’t think of anything funny recent last 15-20 years.
Ever since I heard him say that, and whenever I face a meaningful challenge, I've always say to myself, "It's a Cinderella story, and I am a Cinderella boy ."
"Why don't you come on in and help me sort my holy cards first?" "That girl. Listen, I'd put that idea right out of your mind. She's been plucked more times than the Rose of Tralee." ... and the ever popular: "DOODY!"
When this came out in the summer of 1980, I had just finished my freshman year in high school. So, what job did I have? Yup, caddy at Lochmoor Club in GP.
Wow, you even included Spalding's throwaway line, Ahoy, polloi! Very eclectic! And, "how about a Fresca?" Chase thought Knight was the funniest actor in the film, but Knight would have died thinking Mary Tyler Moore was his whole career.
Thanks, I made this buy looking at another Caddyshack compilation on UA-cam by 'Theron Dahlerup' (though the vid says 'Huffpost Comedy' so I don't know who made it). People listed every quote they thought that compilation left out in the comment section. So I added those. You could say mine's the Caddyshack quote video 2.0

This movie is still so true I work at a country club I started this week. As a golfer it's great the club allows us working stiffs to play on Mondays we close the course
I'd say 95% of Rodney's lines are just gold. To me.
Scott Minnella - I disagree. the funniest bit is when Bill Murray tries to blow up the rodent. It’s unsurpassable. Just pure genius. Dangerfield is ok but the film is too big for him
Oh , someone step on a duck ?
Rodney made the movie.
Shang Tsung - are you kidding me? get out of here! If it weren’t for gopher and bill Murray nobody would remember it
I saw Rodney Dangerfield live three times. He was great!
If I had a nickel for every time my dad said any of these quotes during my childhood I could end world hunger
L Duke99 me tooo
L Duke99 o my god so happy you said that. my dad passed but this was are favorite movie. he got his DVD covered signed by Bill Murray in memphis Tennessee

L Duke99 - Whats the best golf movie ever made? "Caddy Shack" What's the worst golf movie ever made? "Caddy Shack 2"
hey i heard there was a pretty sick watermelon comment on this vid
That's the best line, "you must have really been something before electricity"
i use that line all the fucking time...
Casimir - "Hey honey you wanna make 14 dollars the hard way " ??
“Now I know why tigers eat their young.”
Dangerfield definitely improvised all of that too
jr132 I think a lot of his lines were improvised along with his animated reactions that followed. Very Colorful Comedian
There is no such thing as "best Caddyshack quotes"... you'd have to watch the whole movie because every second of it rocks. Best, most perfect comedy ever made.
Next to Blazing Saddles.
Never ever forgot, "You'll get nothing and like it!"
Agreed
Every second? Lol..Beyond ridiculous
I’ll give ya asthma!😂😅
To think that this movie and Airplane both came out in July 1980. What a great summer for movies.
"This place is restricted Wang, so dont tell them you're Jewish..."
Gold
Was this really a line in caddyshack? If so, I missed it! Noonan! Danny! MISSED IT! Noonan😂😅❤
"You will get nothing and like it" I seem to be hearing these words again lately
"You'll get nothing, and like it!"
God bless Harold Ramis for making this film.
Murray was all ad lib..genius..cast is all perfect..a friggin classic..

So many of Chevy Chase's lines in this are golden but the delivery on "What brings you to this nape of the woods, neck of the nape... how come you're here?" probably makes it my favourite.

When Chevy says " I feel like a hundred dollars"
@@donduggan798I say that all the time, but most people don't get it.
Rodney Dangerfield at his best, Bill Murray at his craziest
I wish that line from Bill Murray "hey, if you want to get weird with somebody, I'm your man" was in this. That was definitely a joke within a joke right there.
You know the interviews on the making of the show. They all where high and messed up the entire shooting of the show, lol

One of the best movies ever made. I can’t remember wtf I did last week but remember almost every line in this movie. Thank you!!
4:09 “Hey you scratched my anchor!” 😂 😂 Rodney Dangerfield you are my new favorite!

My parents let me watch this at a very young age. I’m old now- and I’m still just getting the jokes. Timeless comedy- just keep s giving!!!!
If you watched this as a little girl when it came out, you’re still young
Mine to. They let me watch Friday the 13th, halloween and nightmare on elm Street. They even let me and my brother watch IT when it aired on tv lol.
Former greenskeeper about to become master's champion, ohhhhhhh he got all of that one!
4 comic giants. Dangerfield, Chase, Murray and Knight-(who stole Mary Tyler Moore's show each and every week).
The Greatest Movie Of All Time. Period.

Bill Murray and Rodney Dangerfield are the best things about Caddyshack.
Me and my roommates in college had Caddyshack playing in our kitchen on a loop for 3 months straight!!! Epically good!
Beyond the greatest movie ever ! The most perfectly cast movie in history.
The beauty of working at a golf course for the grounds crew and the pro shop, it’s almost impossible not to reenact some of the scenes from this movie 😂😂

Danny! "See your future, be your future".
A comedy masterpiece. Hardly ever a slow or unfunny moment.
“Your honor, your honor” then the look on his face lollllllllllll
Ted Knight was somehow the funniest IMHO.....and this film had Bill Murray,Chevy Chase and Rodney Dangerfield in it
"You know, I've often thought of becoming a golf club."
- Motormouth
Thank you very little.
Dad -"How many Coke's?"
Danny - "Four or five."
Dad - "What are you? A diabetic?!"
That's one of those jokes that's funny even though it's incorrect. It should be "What are you? Hypoglycemic?" But Diabetic sounds funnier.
