  • In this video I demonstrate my prefered way to draw / sketch people in proportion. I use teqnique on a regular bases to practice drawing people in different postions. I hope you find it useful too?
The channels I found most useful and helped me are listed below:
    ‪@SketchingScottie‬
    ‪@DavidDrazil‬
    ‪@HenryGao‬
These are the art materials I mostly use in my videos and in many of my past videos and will continue to use in the future.
I use fineliner pens for most of my drawings. I recommend using the Staedtler as they last the longest, you can get them here:

I use copic sketch markers for most of my shading and colouring. You can buy sets of these or individual pens this is the closest match I could find as a set:
    COPIC WARM GREYS SET
    amzn.to/4aIapZR
    COPIC GREENS SET
    amzn.to/48n5ufk
COPIC Classic Coloured Marker Pen - Wallet Set of 12 Architecture

This is the paper I am using in the video:
    amzn.to/4b7jCek
Lamy Safari is my go to fountain pen for sketching.
    amzn.to/4btVFOD
And last of all Sakura Gelly Roll to do the window frames and add the highlights I use these:

What a find! A brilliant way to divide up the human body for practical sketching purposes. I love the fact that you can practise this in lots of different ways. THANK YOU! Plus i like this jazz soundtrack. It all helps to be more relaxed when approaching the awesomeness of the human form!

This video is awesome. Somewhere else I saw that not making a circle for the head (but rather an elongated shape) helps a lot.

Thank you so much. Yes, thats a good tip too. It often depends on the look you are going for but heads are not always round, are they😀

Very nice sketching, i like the way you also created the way you expressed where the light was hitting the figures. The shadows on the sketches and on the ground… but, I couldn’t make out the last roll 2nd sketch from my left as im lookin at it???

Thanks so much for your comment Mah. I really appreciate you taking your time to do this. I’m glad you like the video. I agree some of the figures are a little sketchy 😀. It’s all about experimenting with shapes. Sometimes the experiment doesn’t pay off. 😀
