  • Part 4 in a series on rebuilding the front end of a 1998 Suzuki S Carry. In this video, I rebuild a crusty caliper which had a frozen piston, a frozen slide pin, and a backwards mounting bracket. I never took the slide pin out of the bracket during the rebuild. It bothered me intuitively, but I didn't figure out it was backwards until I tried to put in the new pads and mount it on the spindle/knuckle. That part shows on my video on re-assembling the front end. I put some PB Blaster into the back hole of the caliper, let it sit overnight, and pushed it out by inserting a 3/8 socket driver into the back hole and using it to push the piston out.
