My father introduced me to frank, and since they have both passed the world seems emptier. Each one makes me think of the other. Each holiday we play Sinatra because it makes me feel like he is still with us. Bizarre, how they each make me think of the other. My dad to his dying die loved Sinatra so much. He is having so much fun with him in heaven right now. I can imagine both of them in their tuxes with their orange hankie enjoying a drink and a cigar.

its the mid 1970s...the young voice is starting to transform to the old voice. its a unique time here...because when you see him in one of these concerts...you can see the frustration in his face because the voice is changing...and you know for sure hes thinking of Ava when hes singing these. you can feel the heartbreak on these songs hes experienced.

It's from a concert, May 9, 1975 to be precise.

After his short "retirement" he came back in Xlint form in 1973. But in a short time he gained weight, went grey and his voice took on a rougher edge. He looked and sounded better 7/8 years later in the New York, New York time period but after '73 was more hit and miss. I'd rather listen to Frank at 75% than anyone else at 100%. He always retained the magic live in concert though. Sinatra was just....THE best!!!

of course Sinatra voice in the seventies changed and that was always going to be the case but what never changed right up to the end was his phrasing ability when Sinatra sang he lived every word he was such s sincere singer and in my view that's why the sinatra voice still lives today continuing to receive such adulation from so many the world over.

I have seen this sung live on one of his TV specials, but this version sounds somewhat different in vocalizations than the TV show. What is this from...........an album?

This arrangement and trio of songs is simply the very best............so poignant, so real, so right................I was 27, she was 24..I thought we were so much in love....she said....you'll find someone else......I said.....you don't understand.....then I remembered this trio of songs...just the best.
