My ex husband, who has been to many concerts, said the most panties he ever seen thrown on a stage was at a Eddie Money concert. He couldn't believe it. Lol.

Ronnie explained to Eddie that she wasn't really in the business anymore, and was putting the kids to bed when he called. He coaxed her into this, and it was MAGIC. Little known fact: When Ronnie expressed resistance to being in the video, Eddie asked her, " Why, did you get fat?" Which certainly wouldn't fly today........but........they made a song for the ages. Ronnie was 43 in this video, and her body and voice were still bangin'!

In the early '60s, Ronnie Spector of The Ronettes , then married to Phil Spector, recorded a monster hit called "Be My Baby" and 30 years later Eddie Money quoted the hook as part of the book for "Take Me Home Tonight" - a very clever songwriting and arranging device. Eddie had so much respect for Ronnie that he wanted to feature her on the record and in the video, which at that time was THE promotional vehicle in music. This is a classic song with two classic artists captured at a moment in time to bless us all for generations to come...
