I live in small house and put my freezer on the porch because of lack of space. After the first raid by animals I used a bungee strap to deter further meddeling. Well the bear just dragged the freezer off the porch into the woods and ripped the hinges off to get at the yummy food. I was able to reassemble the freezer and 15 years later it still works sitting safely inside. Love the videos.
The meat processor was serious about handling the packages of meat - especially the ground meat tubes. The plastic on those tubes can easily get little nicks and pinholes. Put them in a bowl or container when you go to defrost them... otherwise you'll be cleaning up 'deer juice'.
I also had jerky made when our deer and elk were processed. The jerky was extremely delightful and was GONE very quickly. It's a wonderful feeling hunting/fishing and filling up the freezer and pantry shelves with food.

Nothing like a cooler full of organic meat! Those animals had a great life, and one bad day. I am 61, and don't hunt, but my Amish friends do, and I have 22 pints of ground elk meat, and venison in the fridge. You won't want "bar code" meat after eating that! Good job Baron.
Where I live you see a lot of ice fishing shantys. Northeastern Minnesota is a little too cold to not have one ice fishing. It was -20F on the 3rd of Feb.
We finally got a small 5 sq cubic ft freezer for our apartment. Now we can buy items on sale at the grocery store and freeze them. We love it. It took a while to finally get a freezer (due to the issues with shipping) but now that we have it, we're able to stock up on good, quality food.

We have no issue with hunting but we're just not very good at it 🤣. So we are stuck with buying what we need. We are working on how to save on food and other items.
I'm so happy watching you two fill your treezer with all that yummy, hunted meat! My hubby hasn't been able to hunt for several years but I still remember the last deer he got and we had it processed. We felt the same happiness as we filled up our freezer. Oh what a joy that is. Hugs and love ❤

I love the way you guys interact with each other. You have such great chemistry. Also, though I’m not a dog person and they usually annoy me in videos, watching them play made me smile and was very entertaining. I love seeing them run free. We used to do a lot of canning, food processing, dehydrating of food ect but since we are currently full time in our RV we can’t do it anymore so I can relate to you having to have someone else process your deer. Hope it’s delicious!
This was great, my son in law to be is a hunter, he didn't get one this past year because of all the fires in California, but the year before he got a good sized deer and it filled their freezer with enough meat to last a little over a year, they do of course supplement with other meats from the market. Their favorite cuts from the deer are the backstrap and the tenderloin, but my daughter also enjoys the ground venison for lots of dishes they make. I can't wait to see you start cooking with your venison, thanks for bringing us along.

Loved the ice fishing! Way back when, my uncles would go deer hunting & bring us some venison, in white paper wrapping, ready for the freezer. But I haven’t eaten it since. Great video!

You guys make me smile everytime I watch you. Kamp had a blast, he's such a good dog. When me and my x went ice fishing sometimes we would drop a few egg shell to the bottom to light up the bottom. We were in a ice fishing shanty and the hole was much bigger. It was fun. Can't wait to see what you cook up with the deer meat. Put some in you chili then later make Nachos with your chili, yummy. Mmmm backstap- let sit in buttermilk overnight...salt pepper (I always add garlic powder too) dredge in flower or fully bread per preference and then pan fry like you would chicken fried steak so so simple and yummy💗

The thing about hunting is that you will never forget those 2 deer. It's memories that stick with you forever. Be it good or bad.
We’ve saved their hides to brain tan (with eggs) so we can truly keep them with us forever.
Wild ice cream is 2 cups fresh snow, 2 cups sugar, 2 tablespoons vanilla.
That can't be right, 2 cups of sugar for that small amount of snow?
then add some more snow genius. You could use a splash of milk & blueberries too, buts still wild
